After 8 months we are still receiving misleading and dishonest communication from the service department at Baron BMW via service advisor Ryan Debrecht. Prior to purchasing a 2017 BMW 330xi from an outside dealership we had a $250 safety and health inspection completed by Baron. They did find $5k worth of issues with bearings, brakes, struts, etc but they knowingly withheld information regarding the past history of the car regarding overheating issues and a coolant overflow hose leaking. Ryan stated that they are not required by law to provide prior history to a customer unless the customer specifically asks for that information. The outside dealership agreed to pay for the repairs as part of condition of sale. Not even 30 days later, we began experiencing "Coolant Leaking" issues and were advised to purchase a new radiator cap and "see how that works for 2 weeks"...which Baron failed to document. Two weeks later the car was inspected again and found to have a blown head gasket and warped cylinder head. Baron stated that it needed a new engine and advised us it would be $16k for that. (Only at this time and with speaking to the mechanic did we finally discover that the car had prior overheating issues). According to Baron a used engine was unavailable and we were advised to replace the head gasket and refinish the cylinder head. Four months later we received the car back. During this 4 month period communication was very poor, they only responded if they were prompted, calls would go to voicemail and may or may not get returned in a timely manner, the advice was misleading, we had 3 different service advisors and the last one Ryan was demeaning and threatening upon assuming responsibility of our vehicle and it's service. Drove the car for less than 3 weeks and it began making a gurgling noise and the temperature gauge was running 250 and above at all times. We were advised not to drive the car and had it towed to Baron from Lawrence, KS for service. It arrived on a Thursday, late Friday afternoon I had to call and inquire about the car, to which I was informed they were just looking at it and I would hear something back later that day or Saturday. On the following Monday at 1115, I finally received a text message and it stated nothing was wrong with the car. I requested that the "heat management module" be replaced, replace the engine oil and filter, and perform coolant flush on both the high and low systems and replace the coolant overflow hose. Approximately $1500 worth of additional work. Our initial response is WHY was the "heat management module" not replaced when the car has obviously overheated to the an excessive point to cause the above damage and in the shop for 4 months? WHY did we as the customer have to request the above service be completed? WHY are we being told after 8 months and over $8K of repairs that we still need to put a new engine in this car? Baron's response to this is: "we do not find any fault in how we handled this matter and we have done all they can do." The outside dealership and warranty would have covered most of the repairs if Baron had been honest and transparent from the beginning and disclosed all information known regarding the history of the car. We may not have even bought the car had their initial evaluation been honest and inclusive. The customer service within the Baron Service Department is unprofessional, dishonest, and incompetent. read more

Exceptional BMW Sales Person John Godo. First time ever write a review about a car purchasing experience as we feel compelled to do so with a very good sales rep at Baron BMW. John Godo was the person helped us purchase a new BMW, the first BMW we ever owned. As big of a financial commitment it is for such a car, we both felt pretty fortunate to work with John on our purchase. Since the minute we were introduced to him, he gained our trust in no time with his professionalism, patience, knowledge, kindness and sincerity for caring about our needs. His communications are exceptional, from being a great listener to our needs to making every effort to address all of our questions, and not to mention he called and emailed very promptly to keep us well informed. All business aside, John is a kind and sincere person who made a potentially could be a very stressful experience very enjoyable and much easier. There was never a moment of aggressive sales pitch or high-pressure sale tactics. His gentle spirit gave us a lot of assurance that we could really take the time to find a car we want instead of feeling pressured to make a quick purchase. it has been almost 2 weeks since we bought our car, and we love our car and thanked John many times for his outstanding services. But we also want to let others and the management teams know how much we appreciate John's help and his diligence. I recently interacted with Baron BMW in Mission, KS, and feel compelled to share my experience, which unfortunately was not up to the mark. I was interested in the X5 xDrive50e model, but was presented with a different vehicle, the X5 xDrive40i. Upon reviewing the pricing details, I noticed a significant discrepancy: there was a $2775 difference for options that were included in the invoice but not present in the car. When I reached out to Tyler Graf, the Director of Sales (?), for clarification, the conversation was unexpectedly challenging. Instead of a helpful and informative discussion, I encountered a confrontational and argumentative attitude. This was surprising and disappointing, particularly from a representative of a luxury brand where customer service is paramount. This experience has made me hesitant to recommend Baron BMW. When purchasing a luxury vehicle, one expects a certain level of service and professionalism, which I did not find here. For those considering a BMW in the area, it might be worth exploring other dealerships or even direct shipping options from BMW. Having been in a routine of purchasing a different car every year for the last 5 or 6 years, I have certainly spent my fair share of time at car dealerships. That being said, Baron BMW may have converted me into a customer for life. Billy Roskosh was my sales professional, making the process easy and enjoyable from initial test drive to final handshake. He is incredibly knowledgable about the BMW product lineup overall, and is eager to spend any amount of time needed to make sure his clients are 100% comfortable with their vehicle choice prior to starting negotiations. Moreover, the sales manager was fantastic - having made me an offer on my trade-in that I simply could not refuse. And to take things one step further - the finance person I worked with went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable rate / payment. In conclusion - this was an amazing experience! Rayan Awad corresponded with me the evening before we asked for an appointment to view this car, my cell phone was down, and I know corresponding with me through email only was an inconvenience, even so he retained the upmost of professional attitudes. I asked him for three things, A. Have the car there, B. Have the financials ready to go, and C. What our payments would be, all of these things were answered the evening prior to our arrival. The next day the car was fully detailed, paperwork started and he greeted us at the front door with a hand shake and a smile. What could have been a very stress filled long day turned out to be a very pleasing day, the process was well constructed, and we were in and out in a timely fashion! I had a great experience with Baron BMW, even though I did not originally purchase my vehicle from them. I bought my BMW pre-owned, but after finding out that Baron BMW was the original dealership where the car was delivered, I reached out to get more information about the vehicle. Their team was very helpful and professional. They provided me with the original factory option list, MSRP details, and specific information about how the car was equipped when it was ordered. Even though I am the second owner, they still took the time to help me and email over the information I needed. I really appreciate the customer service and willingness to assist. It says a lot about a dealership when they are helpful even years later and even when the current owner did not buy the car directly from them. Great experience overall. read more

I've purchased several cars from different dealerships over the years. I realize that some dealers require a salesman to come along on a test drive. I find this annoying. Aristocrat, for example, let me drive several 911s without someone along. Baron had my d/l and my current car (worth almost as much as the car I was test driving). No luck: I got a sales guy. The worst, however, was that after about ten minutes of driving the sales guy asked me to take it back because they didn't want to put too many miles on the car. What? You want me to buy a $75k car after a five mile test drive. No thanks. Wake up and join this decade. I can go online, find a dealer within easy flying distance and buy the same car and either have it delivered or drive it back. read more

I received amazing service from Rayan Awad without an appointment. I intentionally dressed like a hill-billy to see if my experience would be any different or if I would even get a salesperson to assist. That is when my wife and I met Rayan. He was dressed very sharp and had great style. What was more impressive was his personality and the level of professionalism in which he took care of us. Baron has treated me great, on my third car. Always helpful with maintenance and dropping by for a free car wash and breather/coffee when in the hood. I had heard negative things about the dealership, but have experienced none of that, save one inattentive salesperson several years ago. Can't blame him he was closing an i8 sale. I brought in my car for a diagnosis, about a week later (after going multiple times trying to pickup my car since I kept getting told it was not ready even after told to go pick up beforehand) I was told it does not start and needs multiple repairs costing up to 7K. That is unacceptable. I had only brought my car in for a diagnosis and all of a sudden it won't start? I will not be coming back here due to that reason and bad customer service. read more

It has taken a few days to get in for service when I have had issues. This was my first bmw and I am surprised they don't wash the car when it's in for service. Beware of the service department at Baron BMW. They are more interested in high-pressure upselling than actual maintenance. I was told I needed $7k in repairs; when I said no, my car was returned missing parts and actively leaking fluids it wasn't leaking before. Their internal documents contradict their excuses. I'm a loyal two-time BMW owner, and the way I've been treated by the GM and Service Director is a disgrace to the brand. read more
