The general manager (John Michaels) at Baron contacted me. I thought he was very professional and more importantly sincere. I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future. Baron BMW sent us an email with an internet price for a CPO 2016 X3. Called before going to the dealership to make sure that was the price and was told by the salesman that it was. After getting to the dealership and test driving the vehicle, the salesman told us for the first time that the price in the email was wrong and the vehicle was $2,000 more. When they gave us our trade in value it was almost a $750 less than what they said they would give online as well. Trade in value was $3,000 less than what a dealership down the street was going to give for our car two weeks ago. Will just wait until Hendrick opens up its BMW dealership in Kansas City before we buy a BMW. read more

I have 2012 BMW that is still under a service warranty the vehicle has 3 recalls and I was not aware until a service writer told me. They are 2 weeks behind on seevice......I called to see if I could get a rental car and got a recording during business hours and left a message it's 6 hours later and no return call I have a 2015 Mercedes and doubt I will ever go back to Baron BMW I will trade this garbage and remember Baron's horrible treatment of my precious time! So, my husband and I purchased a van from Baron in July. The salesman was quite nice and we DID get a good price...except the admin fee. $600 seriously?!? With the great deal I didn't mind. So now we are in January and we were sold a garbage warranty. My seat built broke after a month and it didn't cover it. So, after a couple of months debating whether we should keep the warranty we decided to cancel it so that money could be paid back against our loan. I have been calling for a month now, left numerous voicemails, left messages with the front desk and NOTHING. We're getting ready to pay off our loan and would like this processed before then, but now that they've gotten our business they no longer want to respond. If you do buy from them, don't expect any customer service after the papers are signed. read more

This place is an absolute joke. They will do everything to sell a car but if you have a question after, don't plan on ever getting an answer. I bought a 2013 audi s4 from them and traded my lexus IS which they purchased from me. I was an out of state buyer so they said to send them the paperwork for the Lexus and they would take car of it and once they took ownership they would clear the lein on the car. I even have a document to back this up. It's three months later and I've made three more payments on the Lexus I don't even own! The rep that sold me the car, Rayan, and the sales manger, Stephen, are completely incompetent. I contact them on almost a weekly or biweekly basis and I either don't receive a call back or they just say "we're working on it". It's been three months, how long do you need? It's cost me about $1000. Also the Audi I purchased came with two sets of wheels. The set not on the car I was planning to put winter tires on. Well going to leave, they say they will send them to me as their porter misplaced them. Again, three months later, I have nothing and it is now snowing. Hopefully someone from this dealer reads this and can actually take care of my problems. Apparently the two men I've been dealing with can't or more accurately, don't care. If I didn't need to drive eight hours (yes I drove eight hours to get a car from them, you'd think they would be a little more accommodating) I would be in there demanding answers. BEWARE. read more

Poor customer service. baron bmw should not sell more cars than what they can provide service for. Service department is overbooked overworked and tired all the time. They don't have loaner cars ever. I have a flat tire, cannot fix myself and they don't have new tire and cannot give me a loaner car till they can get one. This is supposedly premier brand and dealership. I have extended maintainence and roadside assistance program on my 2015 228xi. Be careful with these shysters. I had been looking for a slightly used BMW 328 for a few weeks when I came across one at Baron. Since I was still in the looking phase, I just shot one of the salesman an email and wanted to cut to the chase, what their lowest number would be. After a laughable figure, they actually came back with another figure which I thought was really fair. Queue the "if it sounds too good...." I made plans with them to come test drive it, a 2012 328i, and more than likely pick it up on a Saturday which was over a 4 hour drive. It happened to be raining that day and I was given the privilege of viewing the car in a quasi lit garage and didn't see anything wrong with the car other than a small ding on the hood. No big deal. Test drove it, seemed fine. Long story short: I buy the car, drive it 4 hours home, and the next day decide to get the bugs and road/rain grime off of the car. Well, I guess the clear coat on the front bumper decided to come off along with them. The paint didn't even last long enough for the check to clear for the car and they obviously didn't mention anything about it being repainted. I now own a car that I question the integrity of daily. Also, wouldn't you know it, none of the people I worked with will even get back to me for a cheesy apology (Hi Karlton, Steve, and Robert). Unless you're buying new and this is your only choice, I wouldn't even consider these crooks. read more

Prospective customer no more...After one visit and 3 phone calls, I have yet to hear back from the Baron BMW Finance department. I guess since my inquiry was not in reference to buying a car, they really don't care...While waiting for the Baron MINI service department to finish up my wife's car on 8 November 2013, I figured I'd walk across the lot to ask about BMW/MINI extended warranty and maintenance plans. I was immediately approached by a salesman who directed me to the finance department. Unfortunately, they were busy with a sale so I left my information expecting a follow-up email or phone call. After a few days of not hearing from them, I called and spoke to someone in the finance department hoping that he would be able to provide the information requested, however, it was not readily available, he needed to research options for my vehicle and would get back to me shortly. Great, no problem right...? I haven't heard from them since and I refuse to call back. read more

The customer service here has been disorganized in my purchase with them. No one seems to know an adequate amount of knowledge, or let alone ask questions of their colleagues to seek out the information. I'm speaking of the pre-sale, or during this process and post purchase of a pre-owned '15 BMW X5, I just had bought. Buying out of state is probably my mistake. I would of thought, BMW would want to offer the same service level, regardless of the dealer purchased from. The BMW company is altering their 4 yrs./50,000 mi. maintenance program value benefits of transfers to 2nd owners. On pre-owned BMW sales, model year 2015 and newer. An exception falls within the 2nd owner party, being within a "family". Specifically, the BMW manufacturer maintenance program 4 yrs. OR 50,000 mi., whichever occurs first. Make sure of the following. 1) the vehicle year & model you consider buying will come with it. Call BMW USA corporate to verify. 2) DO NOT count on the dealer to tell you whether it will OR will NOT come with it. This has been a nightmare. I was able to resolve this several days later with the GM, Mr. Darrell Thompson. He's been very nice and more attentive in following up with me. Why the disorganization? I don't know. Secondly, this disturbing $599.00 admin. (docs fee) isn't fairly appropriate. Their costs are no where near this to process my paperwork as in this case. Do NOT pay it. Ask them to reduce the selling vehicle's price OR walk. This is such a rip off. It's extra profit for them. They'll tell you that there's another dealership in town trying to charge more! Bottom line: Baron BMW is absent and amid in disorganized customer service unless you raise "cane" with them. I do like the vehicle I bought from them a lot, but I would be very hesitant to do so again. Especially when spending tens of thousands on a luxury car. Unless their customer service would improve regarding these type of things. These are basics, in my opinion. 10/2/16 UPDATE: Over TWO WEEKS post PURCHASE AND COUNTING: NO TITLE sent yet as PROMISED. 03/18/18 Final UPDATE: In all fairness, Mr. Darrell Thompson (the GM) finally did ensure my '15 BMW X5 had it's remaining factory 4 yrs./50K mi. maintenance program reinstated and in force via the owner's transfer post sale. So where do I start... I bought a used Volvo in last Feb. Good car, good deal. I went back to buy a used Lexus in the fall of 2013. The finance department, dark skin fella, had me come in to sign a new agreement due to the bank not accepting the gap insurance. My wife went in and signed and then I did a few days later. I walk in, sit down and the gentlemen says sign here I will be right back. I read the document and it is a full percentage rate from the first document we signed earlier. I wait. He comes back in I said I ain't signing that and why. He states that the bank did this and if I still want the car. I been in the car for a few weeks now. I said. He hustles to give me his personal discount on the from the bank since he does so much business. I sign and leave to go back to the used car manager to claim my second key from him. After some time, I am passed a key and told to go to Lexus and have them bill him. The key does not work and from my understanding he knew that. All I want is the correct key to my car, but I am too pissed to go back in there and demand it. Baron BMW used car department can kiss my A$$. read more

I have had the worst time attempting to get a hold of finance at this location. I absolutely loved the service I received when purchasing my car but after being in an accident and having my car totaled I requested to have my extended warranty canceled with the remaining balance not used refunded. I have had to call, send emails, talk to multiple people, talk to managers, and have even tried the instant messenger multiple times just to get a single reply. I received what I needed to get the proper paper work together to have my claim processed and have sent it on but have received no reply. Yet again I am trying to figure out who I can talk to that will help me. This is over $1,000 that could help me with the purchase of a new vehicle, I just can't understand why I can't even get a simple update saying they are processing my information or anything at all to put my mind at ease. I am so passionately disappointed with how they are treating me. I thought at first that maybe I was having a hard time reaching someone due to the construction of their building which would be understandable but when I finally reached finance the first time after trying nearly everyday for week and a half, I received no explanation for why this was so difficult. I recently bought a 3 yr old BMW from Baron. a 335i. i live 2 /12 hrs away and soon after had a problem with my battery. without going into all the details there was a debate from my local dealer about the warranty coverage. it took a couple of conversations and Baron stepped up and did the right thing regardless of the warranty dates, etc. you buy a premium product and you expect premium service. Anything more than two stars is FAKE Review. If you are smart, you would boycott at least getting service from them and if you are not, please continue to go to Baron. I purchased a CPO about a year ago for my wife and three small kids. My wife drives with windows open even when it is cold outside.I drove the car several weeks after we received the vehicle and discovered exhaust smell in the cabin during idle, in addition to black drips under the tail pipes. Baron always seems to be several weeks backlogged if you require a loaner and a week or so out if you do not. My wife and I both work and I had to take it in myself and get back to work. I booked an appointment with a loaner and took the car in and shortly after, received a call from Baron. I was told that it was fine. I told them that I had to add oil frequently but they said that was normal as well and the smell was due to some sort of cleaning wax that the previous dealer had put on the engine which would eventually burn off. Several weeks later the smell remained and I made another appointment several weeks out and took the car in. This time, they discovered an oil leak on the engine which was causing the (same) smell. They fixed the issue and changed the oil and returned the car. My wife drove the car for a few months and we had to take it in again due to a sound while turning on A/C. Dealer could not find the root cause or recreate the problem but advised that it needed alignment. I approved the alignment and my wife collected the vehicle after the work was complete. About a week later, I drove the car and noticed that the steering was not straight and was pulling to the left. I drove it straight to Baron and they corrected the mistake in a few hours and topped up gas as a courtesy. I sensed there was the same burning/exhaust smell in the cabin but my wife said I was imagining. I drove it again today after a few weeks and noticed a strong smell and called Baron and asked them to get it in immediately as I do not want my kids to be breathing in toxins. Considering the car had been in their shop twice for the same issue, I expected better service. I was told that the earliest appointment without a loaner would be next Wed. That is one week out. My point here is.... Baron seems to have monopoly in the area. They also have extremely poor service and mechanics (Service) that are incompetent (possibly not properly certified) and potentially on a pay plan that forces them to pick and choose their work and ignore others. All I want is to get the car fixed before my warranty runs out and I cannot seem to be able to do that. The other thought I have is to move away from BMW and go back Mercedes as the services are day and night apart between Baron and Aristocrat (Benz dealer). I hope this helps everyone. read more

I finally get a call back at 4pm, Hey I have your credit app, that I sent 1st thing that morning, and 2, i don't have the car anymore. I was pissed ! I spent all morning, waiting to hear back and they just didn't care enough to sell me a car. You ran my credit, hit my credit with a wasted hit and didn't follow up. Worst dealership ever. If you are out an out of state buyer, BEWARE, they don't give a crap about your time or your business. read more

I bought a BMW from Carmax. I love this car. I have only owned the vehicle for 6 months. One cold morning I get a low tire pressure warning. Since I am new to this vehicle and have run flats I take it to the BMW dealership to meet them and get it checked out. While I am there I ask about oil changes and routine maintenance. Like I said I love this car and want to take good care of it. It just so happen it's not time for an oil change, but it is time for a micro filter replacement and brake fluid flush. 'OK' I say let's do the recommended maintenance. I leave happy. One week later I notice oil in my driveway. So naturally I suspect something went wrong during my service. I take the vehicle back in for service and am told a pressurized ring has come loose and spewed oil all over the engine bay. I think this answer is reasonable but what I don't believe is that it has nothing to do with the work I had done previously. Oh well right, what can I prove. So I pay them for their work and I go about my business. Well today my oil temperature gauge has started behaving strangely. Do I take it back to the dealership and play russian roulette with my bank account or do I find a new service center? And that brings me to this review. I want to say these folks took care of me and listened to my concerns and I felt heard and understood and not made to feel like the latest sucker that needs to be drained of a few hundred. In actuality my concierge was nice enough even if a bit flighty. I have a brand new (to me) vehicle that has not given me a squeak of trouble aside from a low tire pressure warning but since bringing it in for service I have now spent $700 and a new problem has just crept up. I went in originally for a low tire pressure warning. The reason for this review is only to inform others of my experience. I really don't have anything against the dealership and if mine is the only bad experience then that would be great. read more

When I purchased my car I was interested in financing however I was asked the rate I was given by my bank (which was not sufficient IMO) and not thinking it would be used against me I disclosed the rate that my bank offered. After 45+ minutes of working on a rate for me they ask me to come into their office and they were willing to "match" the bank's rate. HOWEVER while going through the additional add on packages (maintenance, leather etc.) I decided to do the maintenance package due to the finance guy showing me a hefty print out explaining I would have approx $15K of maintenance over the next 4-5 years for my car (EXCEPT SEE THE EXCLUSIONS LIST THAT THEY DON"T SHOW YOU as almost everything can be found excluded except your basic oil changes, filters and brakes, you will definitely spend $15K over that time but BMW will only cover a fraction of that with the covered items). The next package he wanted me to get was the interior care (leather rips stains etc) and I was not interested however if I were to take this package he was willing to DROP my interest rate more than a FULL INTEREST POINT and then sold me on the your payment only changes a few dollars. I find it very deceiving that I have to buy add ons to get my TRUE RATE. read more

Baron BMW service department is awful. Not only after a year of bringing my car into get repaired for the same problem, they refused to guarantee their work. We were willing to pay for their "recommendation" (after of year of recommendations)if it did not fix the problem the would refund our money or fix it for at their expense. Npt only were they unwilling to guarantee their work they were extremely rude and unwilling to resolve the problem that was equitable for both parties and especially the customer . They think they have a monopoly on BMW--well i will never buy another bmw and believe me I have the financial ability to do so if desired. We weren't really in the market for a new car, my wife's 2011 4Runner was paid for and she was happy with it. Hendrick Toyota in Merriam KS, where my wife took the vehicle for servicing, reached out to us on Saturday March 7th with stories of how desperate they were for low mileage 4Runners. Ours had just over 35K miles on it. So when they tried to low-ball the offer on Wednesday the 11th, insultingly low among other nonsense, I no longer even wanted them to give them my service business. Fortunately I no longer have to. I had already contacted Dan Myers at Baron BMW, in Merriam KS on Monday the 9th, to let him know we had been approached by Hendrick and that we'd be looking at both used and new X5's as a replacement for the 4Runner because I wanted to see what he had available and on the way. It was Dan that got me into my first BMW in Oct. of 2012 and my first experience with Dan was so pleasant I knew there wasn't anyone else I wanted to work with. Dan again exceeded expectations, getting us into a 2014 X5 that was so new to the lot it wasn't even in the inventory system when we signed the deal. My wife and I were actually leaning towards a new 2015 model but this beautiful white 2014 had just been delivered, still even had the bugs on it from the trip and checked all my wife's "love it" boxes. It was actually more vehicle than the new ones we were looking at so it stretched us a little tighter than we were initially prepared for but between our trade and that X5 Dan was able to get the numbers where we needed to be. That was Thursday March 12th. I don't like the wheeling, dealing and other nonsense of a normal car buying experience. I do my research; I know what a fair price is for the vehicle I have and I know what is fair for the vehicle I'm looking at. So I want to sit down with an adult and have a conversation about what I can do, what they can do and see if we can we meet in the middle where they make money and I feel like a got a fair deal. If we can't do that then let's shake hands, be friends and try again later on something else. Dan is the rare gem that can break out of the typical salesman mode and provide the type of buying experience I am looking for. I've purchased at least 15 vehicles in my 47 years, half of those from Dealerships and this is the first time I've ever bought a second vehicle from one Dealer, let alone had a desire to seek out the same salesperson. I'll make that three vehicles when I am ready to buy my next vehicle because Dan is the person I am going to call. read more

Rob Ramsey, is the service manager and make excuses for his service advisors and has no idea what is happening in the service department. Ben is one of the service is advisors and is rude and cocky and should not work with customers. Jake Morrison, another service advisor obviously authorizes work without receiving permission from the owner of the vehicle. I have had a few repair issues with this company. The first being my left rear axle that was not properly bolted down that eventually sheared off while I was driving. Luckily I had been driving in a residential area because had it been on the highway I would be a goner. When I took that in (let's not even talk about the berating I received when I called to tell them about the axle) it was replaced with the disclaimer(admission of guilt)that the service mechanic who had worked on my car is no longer with them because he was not thorough at his job. SERIOUSLY?!!! Fast forward to my taking it in for recommended service a few weeks later and mentioning that it still felt wobbly(again I was met with the condescending tone of " you feel everything in a BMW, I'm sure it's nothing " ) only for THAT service guy during the ride along to discover indeed that the axle was not replaced properly. After almost a week and a half of little to no communication that was finally replaced. Next was my steering wheel rack that I discovered a leak in ( here we go again) I told them that it was leaking and when I tried to take it to another BMW location that recently opened up,they discovered it didn't have OEM BMW parts so THEY couldn't repair it so I went back to Baron. Lo and behold 8 short months later the steering wheel is still leaking and come to discover a steering wheel alignment was not performed. I have been in contact with management over at Baron who stated he would get back to me no later than 10am on 5/20/2017. It is now 5/29,no word!! These people are the worst!! Not only do they lack customer service skills but they have no regards for human life sending people out in vehicles that are not properly fixed!! read more

I purchased a BMW X1 through Baron BMW after searching nationwide over a month for the perfect X1 with every package available. Coming from an Infiniti, this was my first BMW and I did my research before switching brands. After finding one in Tennessee I checked Baron BMW's website and saw they had a new arrival matching what I wanted. I contacted Nathan Tague at Baron and told him the offer the TN dealer had made me. He worked with his manager and beat the deal locally and also saved me a plane ticket and a day's drive back with the car. It turns out I know Nathan's family as my brother and I had purchased a boat from his family's popular marina at Lake Viking MO. He did an excellent job, answering multiple questions via phone call and text message. He was patient and thorough but not pushy as I shopped Baron and other dealers so the process took awhile.
