Holy smokes this place is amateur. To start, my salesman was about 15 years old. After a deal was struck, the finance manager was completely unreasonable about accepting a cashiers check, blamed "corporate" policies and had zero costumer service skills. The dealership acts as if they are doing a customer a favor by selling one of their precious cars. I walked out disgusted. After recently moving to the area, I was told that there are 2 BMW service centers nearby. I am not sure why I picked Baron BMW for my issue but regret it now. I went to Baron regarding a windshield washer fluid leak. They informed me the reservoir / pump would need to be changed and charged me over $800 for the repair. After about a week, I was told that my car was ready. The day after picking up the car, I got the same error message despite refilling the washer fluid reservoir myself. I was then told to bring the car back in, which I did a couple of days later. Kirk V. kindly gave me loaner car. A couple of days later, he messaged me to tell me the issue was the line going to the rear windshield but assured me there were actually 2 leaks and the first repair was still necessary. Unfortunately, the second repair would be quite labor intensive involving removing seats and flooring to allow everything to dry, costing an additional $2k. Almost 2 weeks later, I was told my car was ready for pick up again. My mistake was not doing a thorough inspection of my vehicle before leaving. I did find an obvious tear on the back of one of the seats that was clearly from their work. Kirk assured me the part would be ordered and they would let me know when it was ready and we could arrange for the car to be brought back. Later that day, I found further damage, the worst of it in the pictures below. I can understand a scratch or two (which there definitely were) with such a job. But the damage done was at multiple sites, reckless, and sloppy and further demoralizing after spending over $3k for windshield washer fluid and making multiple trips. Not getting a reponse after a couple of tries throughout the day prompted me to post this review as I weigh my other options and reminded me that ultimately, you are helpless once the car leaves the garage. They have no incentive to expeditiously make things right at that point so just beware. I will say the staff such as Kirk are friendly and responsive when you are at the dealership. read more

Overall, the buying process went smoothly and the staff there was friendly and easy to work with. I had been looking at SUVs for a while and wanted specific features and found exactly what I wanted there! They even had an ice cream truck and puppies on site so how can the experience get any better than that?!! My rating would be 5 stars if only they had not been shady with their financing. I specifically requested they include my credit union in the three lender mix for submission of my credit application. They came back and said the Truist offered the best rate although they did not show me the rates received from the three lenders. I should have demanded to see those before signing anything as I knew the rate of almost 9% was too high for someone with excellent credit but they assured me that rates were just high for everyone. We purchased the car on a weekend and I reached out to my credit union a few weeks later. They showed no record of Baron even submitting my credit application to them and confirmed they would have offered me a rate of under 7%. I reached back out to Baron requesting to see the rates quoted by the three lenders which they would not provide. They tried to tell me that the rates for my credit union had dropped dramatically since I purchased the car which I already knew was a false statement. They selected a lender that apparently allows dealerships to add an additional 2% to the quoted interest rate. So, if you decide to buy from this dealership, I strongly recommend you obtain financing on your own unless you want to pay a much higher interest rate. read more

I was unable to edit my previous review, so, here is a revision. February 29, 2024, purchased 2012 BMW 535xi from Baron BMW in the amount of $12,844.15. March 1, 2024, I noticed vibrating from the car when turning the wheel completely left. March 2, I attempted to inform Baron BMW. March 5, 2024, I had to schedule my own service appointment with them for March 9, 2024. March 9, 2024, I showed for the service appointment but it was rescheduled for March 10, 2024. March 12, 2024, I received a message from Baron BMWs service advisor stating both front axels had failed and two motor mounts showed signs of wear. I received an invoice for $6k in total repair costs. I asked if Baron BMW was going to cover any of the repair costs after selling me a vehicle with issues. Orginally, I was told by the service advisor via text that the Sales Department said there was nothing they could do since the vehicle was under [value line]. The Service advisor then said he'd ask the Service Director. The service advisor said the Service Director offered me 3 free years of oil changes. After I refused, the sales advisor said the Service Director countered with $400 off the total cost for repairs. Granted it was an insult, but at least they tried. March 16, 2024, I received an email from Baron BMWs Sales Director, Brandon Shannon, who made an attempt to resolve the issue and briefly explain that I wasn't properly informed about their val-u-line program. March 16, 2024, I informed Brandon that if their val-u-line program was intended to be an as-is sale, then they were required to disclose the car's issues prior, in accordance with K.S.A 50-636(c). March 18, 2024, Brandon offered me a $2k refund. I declined and counter offered to be refunded $4k. March 19, 2024, Brandon implied that I should be happy to accept the $2k. Per Brandon, "Kansas Law states 10% is all the dealership is required to pay." Ultimately, Baron BMW sold me a vehicle advertised as in excellent condition. However, they forgot to mention the part about their vehicles having issues before selling them to you. According Brandon, val-u-line vehicles undergo a safety inspection required by the state. Is it safe to drive on two failed axels? If not, what does a safety inspection entail? Still trying to understand how they didn't know. Funny part is their multi-point inspection found FAILED front axels when I took it for service, but when they ran the safety inspection it wasn't found. I guess the must've gotten new machines. According to Brandon, potholes can do a lot of damage over night. Long story short, steer clear from Baron BMW. If you have the same issues, Please file your complaints at least through KS Attorney General, BBB, FTC, KS Consumer Protection Division, KS DMV and BMW Group. Our concerns will pile up. Oh yeah, and they still make you pay junk fees. I passed that along to the FTC. read more

Dealership appearance is great but be cautious. I thought being a high end vehicle dealership they were a notch above a used car lot, I was wrong. Everything was great until I paid for the car. They said they would do a final mechanical check and actually fixed some items. With a week warning light came on and my mechanic showed pictures of previous damage to steering control which when they did alignment prior to me driving it off, there service department had to have seen but withheld info or they were incompetent. Attempted to email the report and photos to them and BMW would not provide me with emails oh general manager or sales person. Finally sales man text me back and I sent him documents and wanted them to consider working something out with me sine it was 3K repair bill. They ghosted me after receiving the document's. In my opinion don't be taken in with their beautiful building and fast/smooth talking staff and based on above info in my opinion I would use caution with there service department they were either dishonest with the report they provided me or missed obvious damage to left steering control arm considering the did an alignment and did some brake work prior to turning vehicle over to me. BE CARFUL and use CAUTION if you are doing business with this dealership. I reviewed other recent reviews (with I would have done this before my bad) and several other reviews with similar problems I had. And the dealership response to the reviews were mostly a cut and paste response they do for bad reviews. read more

Went to Baron after finding the car I had been interested in for a while. Met my sales person and everything was going great. We met in the middle on a trade-in and was going to come back the following day for signing. Arrived the following day to go over paperwork and noticed there was an extra service charge applied to the vehicle, that was not on the documents I received to review that night; And, that I had not consented to during our talk the day before. After brining it to attention I was told it was "Must have" on all newer vehicles and had already been applied during the detailing before I arrived for signing. They refused to remove the charge and thus I ended up walking away from Baron. As a service provider myself, it is ridiculous that they would use shady business tactics like this to boost their sales and commission. Have been servicing my car here for quite some time. I really like that appointments are very easy to make, online as well as by calling in, and I'm able to book an appointment for next day or within a time frame of 2-3 days. My current (Chelsea) and previous (Travis) service advisors are very professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. They are genuinely nice and not just providing lip service. I did had a rude advisor before Travis but that's way in the past. The waiting room is clean and stocked with water, drinks and coffee. I wish they bring back car wash and detailing service again. They use to do a very good job and nothing like picking up a very clean car. The service pricing is on the higher side but I don't mind paying as long as they don't rip me off by doing unnecessary work or replacing something that doesn't need replacing. I recommend the place for it's good work, ease of servicing and courteous customer service. read more

He took in consideration our offer and made us feel like we mattered versus the other place we went to where we made our offer and they said either you take what we're saying and leave. Well, I guess I should have looked at the Yelp reviews first. I went into the dealership to drive a car. I had done a lot of research but this was the first car I'd driven. I did like the car but due diligence led me to drive another I had on my list. It should also be of note John was not very familiar with the car he was trying to sell. He did not know where the dipstick was. Turns out, there's not one as all info is carried in the computer. He also told me there was a backup camera (had forgotten to take notice when I was driving it). He told me the next day that there was not one and that they didn't put those in until "2018". Well, there are more on the market that are 2017s with cameras than not. Both are things you'd expect a salesperson to know. Anyway, it was late on a Monday. After driving the second car, I emailed and texted my salesperson, John Gemmer, about 2 hours before closing time asking him to call me. I did not hear back from John until mid-morning the next day. I told him I was interested in the car and after several phone calls, the negotiations were done and we settled on a price. I told him I'd be there between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. I walked in at 5:40 and Peter Pellegrino, who really acts more like a bouncer than a Sales Floor Manager, called John. We went to his office, signed some initial papers and he said he'd be back in a minute. About 20 minutes later he came back, bringing me a bottle of water. I asked what was taking so long and he said, "Well the truth is, someone came in 10 minutes before you, drove the car and they are working a deal with him". I said that we had a deal to which John said, "we don't hold cars or take deposits". I went to talk with Tyler Graf, New Car Sales Manager who said it is company policy that they don't hold cars even with a deal done and an appointment scheduled because "people don't show up" and he was not going to "risk his job". I asked about a courtesy call to me to explain the situation and confirm I was coming to which he admitted they "could have done". At that point, I walked out assuming I would not get the car as I was not financing anything. As I was walking out, I saw John, my salesperson, taking someone for a test drive without even checking in with me. Needless to say, they sold the car to the other buyer. I find the dealership and its employees to be underhanded, not trustworthy, slimy really, and just overall bullies. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

The staffs, from the sales consultants to the service advisors, are very pleasant to deal with. I bought 4 cars from here in the past 2 years, the transactions on each was very consistent. The sales consultants are not pushy, the sales managers are very friendly, and the paper work process doesn't feel like an upsell. This is the only dealership I know, that assigns you to a dedicated service advisor. Think of them as your primary car physician, who knows your car's history, allergies, symptoms, in order to produce the optimal service/repair outcome. That's pretty cool, considering most of you reading this don't have a primary care physician who remembers your first name. If you're looking for an ultimate German car dealership, who offers great products and fabulous service, look no further. I will have to warn you, once you own a BMW, there's no going back. Nothing else will compare. I will always have a BMW in my garage, and would not buy a BMW from anywhere else but Baron. I just traded in my Toyota Highlander and bought a new 2010 BMW X3 from Baron. The buying experience at Baron could not have been better. Everyone I dealt with there was very professional and helpful, including the salesman from whom I bought the X3. His name is Al Hanson. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. The purchase was somewhat complicated. I wanted the 2010 X3, because of BMW's large "build out" discounts on that model. This is its last model year in its current form, built in Austria. A very new X3 for 2011 will be built in South Carolina. During the remaining "build out" of the 2010's, the supply from Austria is declining, and availability with the options I wanted was low. Al found one having what I wanted at a dealership in Pennsylvania and acquired it through a dealer swap. In addition, Baron acquired two additional options I wanted and installed them, despite an unexpected availability problem with one of those options. Although it necessarily was not a simple or rapid transaction, Baron took care of all of it very professionally. Regarding pricing, I had checked with three BMW dealerships in St. Louis, one in Wichita, one in Omaha, and one in Topeka. Baron was highly competitive with all of them without producing an irritating negotiating experience. With many of my prior car buying experiences, I have found the business practices of many other dealers often to be very unpleasant. There was no "game playing" at Baron, no manager came out to bargain with me, and they did not even cash my deposit check before acquiring and modifying the X3 I wanted. I trust these people. They keep their words. That is high praise In the automotive business, which is known for all sorts of trickery. read more

Assistant Service Manager, RYAN DEBRECHT and his subordinate, Chelsea Kester were less than professional, failed to communicate or provide required warnings about brakes after a complete brake and rotor replacement. It was only after driving the car 2 blocks, becoming concerned and afraid that the brakes were not working properly (spongy pedal, low response, less than before brake job). We returned the car, expressed our concerns, and the technician/mechanic took it for a test drive. They returned with, "We drove it. They're just fine, nothing wrong." After several minutes of back-and-forth, the technician FINALLY brought a little cardboard hanger that warned, "Avoid violent braking for the first 125 miles." This did nothing to ease our concerns for the highway drive we needed to take home. We expressed those concerns and were met with even more condescending, argumentative, and defensive tones about how car brakes work and the safety of the car. We asked the Service Manager to personally guarantee it. The Service Manager said that because this was a "2014" he wouldn't feel comfortable signing his name to his guarantee that our car was safe to drive on the highway. His employee, Chelsea, attempted to reason further by saying, "Breaking-in brakes is just like getting new tires." We are well-versed in automotive maintenance and repair, and have owned BMW's for the last 13 years. While BMW and other manufacturers have made some advances in technology since the last time we replaced brakes on cars we've previously owned in the last 34 years, brakes and brake systems (BMW included) are fairly consistent. "We hope you experienced the Baron difference," the work receipt says. Evidently, we did. We left unsettled and with our trust in Baron BMW fully eroded. read more

Brandon Shannon was fantastic is helping me out recently is test driving a couple of used cars that you have for sale. I was having trouble deciding on the cars still and Brandon really went the extra mile in helping me narrow down my choices with the 2 vehicles. He walked me through al the options in the different models. When it came time to do the back and forth of the price negotiation it was a fairly easy process. We worked out that process and got everything hammered out pricing wise. The financing piece came next and was the usual song and dance of option of interest rates with different months, coupled with different protection options. All of it was presented in a fairly easy to understand process. Their a fair amount of people involved in the paperwork process for my liking. However, overall the experience was good. Nick was accommodating and we set up a test drive. He was knowledgeable about bmw and the x5 I was looking at. First time ever dealing with Baron BMW and I have to say it was the BEST dealership interaction/experience I have ever had. I walked in about about 3 weeks ago wanting to learn more about a pre-owned 5-series and take it for a drive. My client advisor Nick came along and we took it for a drive. Nick was very knowledgable about the car, explaining all of the bells and whistles (convenience AND performance). During the test drive, I let Nick know that I wouldn't be ready to buy until the end of 2021 and that I was simply curious about the ride considering I have been driving an SUV for the last 6 years. As the test drive came to a close, Nick asked "What does this car NOT have that you would like to have". Most of you probably already know that typically the next question is "What will it take to get you in this car today?" Nick didn't ask that question. Instead, he listened to my priorities for this next purchase. When we returned, Nick said, would you mind popping inside and meeting my sales manager. "Sure, no problem." When we got inside, Brandon the sales manager came around the corner, shook my hand and said "I just wanted to introduce myself, thank you for coming in, and let you know when the time is right, we'll be here to help you find the car that you want" Wow! That was it for that visit and I was on my way...no pressure, no cheesy sales tactics, just a couple of introductions and all my questions answered. Flash forward three weeks later and I just happened to take a peek at the pre-owned inventory online. I immediately found a car that I was ready to buy without waiting until the end of the year. I texted Nick and we started the negotiations. They were very fair on my trade. The negotiations were handled predominately over text message and when I arrived at the dealership, most of the heavy lifting was already complete. After Nick and I handled some preliminary paperwork, I was introduced to Ben, the finance manager. Ben was formerly the Service Manager for 7 years so he has seen all sides of the organization. I really felt like Ben was on my side as opposed to the past experiences when I get squeezed into the finance manager's tiny office with hours of back and forth to "talk to my manager." I communicated with a salesman via text prior to going and they made sure the car was in front and ready when I got there. Zak was the salesman taking care of us and he was very nice. I won't lie, I hate going to dealerships, but they were pretty cool and laid back here unlike some other dealerships I've experienced. Went to the service counter to pick up a pair of the "Purple Siemens" relays used in most BMW's up until 2011 model year. Guys behind the counter had never heard of such a thing and act like I'm nuts. Well first somebody teach your employees this is 2020 and everybody has a smart phone giving them the power to not only look something up ( maybe your employees could do this) but also do as I did and order it from another dealer as they are standing in your building. OH the sad and true stupidity of this the dealer I ordered from is owned buy the same group. Sad to have given a penny to these guys.. My experience buying my first car here was absolutely terrible. They seemed like they just want to sell a car and not cater to their customers at all. I got the car refinanced and was supposed to be reimbursed for the gap insurance and I've been calling the financials department multiple times and it either goes straight to voicemail or they tell me to wait another week. Buyer beware!! Our experience with Baron BMW was awful, and we will never go back there again. We purchased a used vehicle from Baron BMW earlier this month. The vehicle was clearly listed on the website as a "limited" edition -- I still have a screenshot. A few days after purchasing the car, I spoke with Infiniti customer service, and upon them running the VIN-- the car is actually a base model. The price difference new would be $30,000 -- even our insurance changed substantially when we went from insuring it as a limited model to a base model. I called the dealership and spoke with our salessperson, who just wanted to tell me that we still got a great value for our money. He showed me how they run a CARMAX report. I don't care if the mistake was intentional. You sold a car and held it out as a limited model, and it's not. When we purchased the vehicle, I did some quick research to see if it was a good deal. Of course it looked like a great deal -- it was a "base" model. Had it been a limited model, the price was phenomenal. So we jumped on it. Had I known it wasn't a limited model, I honestly don't know if we would've purchased it. In addition to winding up with a car we didn't think we bought, our experience with finance was terrible. The finance person was rude and abrasive. He was so worried about selling an extended warranty that he tried to scare us by telling us how many thousands of dollars everything on our car would cost if it broke. I wound up leaving his office in tears. We should've waked away then, but we didn't. Is it really so important to sell a warranty that you try to make the customer feel bad and worry about everything breaking on their car? I will never return to Baron BMW, and I hope someone reads this and avoids the stress that goes with doing business with this dealership. read more

My husband and I have been going to Baron BMW for over 2 years and continue to be disappointed in their customer service and communication. Most recently, my husband brought his car in to be evaluated for new tires, brakes. There was miscommunication over whether the tires had been replaced and there was not a follow up phone call to explain the situation. His service advisor was not there on day of pick up and was supposed to call the following day, to answer remaining questions. We did not get a phone call and I had to call 2 days later. Future buyers beware! Their finance department will try to rip you off with lots of lies and the general manager will back them up. Do not trust their words and do your research before you buy cosmetic and maintenance programs with them. While I was buying my car the finance manager offered/insisted me to buy a maintenance program & cosmetic program and told me I would be covered for 5 years maintenance for 2625 dollars and if I don't buy this I would be spending around 5.000 dollars(later on I called their service department and asked average cost annually would be 500-600 dollars so you do the math). Also, I realized maintenance is for 3 years, not 5 so went back there on day two to cancel and the finance manager told me I can't cancel and even if I can cancel my interest rate would go up.... -shady here- I said it is okay I can use my bank's rate then he was like okay he will call me and never called me back so waited a couple days then went back there again and the finance manager told me I do not have any options to cancel but they can extend another year free and I accepted. I tried to cancel these programs but they refused my request. I emailed the GM on day 5 and never got any response back. Later on, I emailed him(GM) again sharing my experience and want to cancel my programs, guess what he says... I had 5 days window to cancel and instead of canceling I accepted to extend another year which is not true because their finance manager told me I don't have any option to cancel. So they delay your cancellation request and lie, then after cancellation periods ends they say sorry you didn't cancel within the 5-day window. Such unprofessional managers. read more

I've been to Baron multiple times within the past year to service 2 of my BMWs, and I haven't had positive experiences with any service advisors (I won't state their names) in the past. Honestly, I was ready to just drive out to the Missouri side to get my cars serviced out there due to the poor customer service and lack of communication between their team! That all changed during my most recent experience this week! My X3 had a drive train malfunction so I needed to get it checked out immediately to see if it was a serious issue. Greg Manford was my assigned service advisor and I am so grateful for him! He is the best! He was very personable, positive and very professional. I felt comfortable speaking with him and felt a wonderful and positive energy from him (not like all the other advisors I've dealt with there). He always had a smile and made sure I was happy before I left. He didn't pressure me to get anything else done on my car besides what I wanted. He also sent me text messages, emails and called me with information on my vehicle during the whole process. I highly recommend working with Greg if you're planning to get your car serviced here. This dealership has lost our business. They schedule maintenance when they aren't able to complete it. I had an appt. made with a loaner car. When arrived on a Friday appt. was told they wouldn't be able to get the car until Tuesday and no loaner available. Not sure why we bothered making an appt. This was for just a regular maintenance service. I'll be going to Hendrick for now on. This is not the first issue we have had with them and they blame construction. read more

Bought my car 5 months ago.. took it in for its first oil change 6,000 miles later and was told I needed 4 new tires because of abnormal wear on the tires. The tires they claim were inspected to pass but after taking it to other tires dealers to look at they said there is no way I did that In 6k miles. Their service guy even said the bubbling concerned him. The mileage put on the car the day it was sold to them was the same mileage on the paperwork the day I bought it!!! Hmmm how is that even possible when I test drove it. They claim it passed inspection but i call bullsh*t. The head service guy even tried to tell me my tires were fine after they told me they weren't. Wtf! They will sell you an unsafe car so make sure you take it to be inspected by another dealership. Learn from my mistakes and have it checked because I assumed I was buying a bmw which I thought was the best especially bc I thought it was a trusted dealer. Dante is great and needs to go to a dealership that actually cares about their customers and doesn't screw them over. If I could give less than one star I would. read more
