barreca black top has been sealcoating my driveway for 25 years. they recently did the job and i brought to their attention that i was a bit disappointed as some larger cracks were not addressed. talked to Rudy and without hesitation said they would gladly redo the job if i was not happy!!! 4 days later they completely resealed and filled cracks i brought to their attraction!!!!!!! with a SMILE!!!! i would HIGHLY recommend barreca!!! forgot to mention their prices are always lower than other quotes!!!! They redid our above average sized driveway for $175 total. It was the lowest quote we could've imagined. They were so helpful on the phone and immediately got us set up with an appointment date- no hold times or hemming and hawing. I have used Barreca 7 times, in Illinois and now Indiana. They never disappoint. One time many years ago, the weather forecast had no rain. It rained! They without question, came back and seal coated again. In the end they had to sealcoate 3 times because of weather that year. They have the most friendly people on the phone and at the sight. See my new note below my initial comment: they must have been hacked. i received an email stating they were taking me to collections for not paying for sealcoating. i have not used them for probably 6 years or more. besides its all pre-pay like others have said. voicemail is full so i will never get an actual person. got an email today it said you do not owe us any money. they were trying to send default accounts to collections and they did something wrong on the computer so it sent them out to everyone who has used them. i bumped up my rating on star only because they were honest in admitting their mistake. still caused a lot of bs for everyone. they need to hire someone in the office that knows what they are doing. read more

Barre a been using for 3 years now . They are the only company that fill in cracks and pot holes up(upon request) others just spray or mist water black tar . These guys are pros and do a neat job and the stuff holds up. For a year or two . Just don't be cheap and get it done yearly ! The weather here is Crazy! Some people bi**h over anything ! Lol, this is a honest company , but we live in a 5 star world of crazy demanding karens, so I'm not surprised they have lower rating scores , but who tf cares ! They do solid work and I like them ! I think many people here have a fundamental misunderstanding of seal coating your driveway - with Chicago weather, every two years is appropriate. I think people who need new driveways often think sealcoating it will save it, but it won't. They're pushing tar around. They accurate, and cheap - quit expecting them to use 5x the amount of product to coat your 25 year old driveway. read more

Apparently they had done the driveway for the former owner of my house for years so they sent a notice saying what to do if I wanted to continue and they did a beautiful job, prompt punctual and frictionless, and my driveway is well sealed with brushing to get the seal in to all the cracks and crevices. Barreca has not seal coated our driveway in more than 7 years. I just got an over due bill from them. Not sure why. When tried to call to find out why I was sent a bill their voicemail was full. Not sure how I will get in contact with them to dispute the bill. Also I found a lot cheaper firm to do the sealcoating and neve looked back. read more

Similar to other recent posts, today, Feb 26, 2021 - I was sent "We are about to send your account into collection. We must receive payment by Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Please call with payment at 847-970-5900." Seeing as I have not used their service in a couple years it certainly looks like their email account was hacked - which I feel for them, if that is the case. I tried calling their number, but no voice mail available - not good. I tried going to their website to communicate via chat or message portal - unfortunately I am not able to enter the website unless I can input a customer code - which I do not have. - also, not good. Barreca Blacktop - for your sake, if you see this, post something about the error and steps you are taking to correct the unfortunate mistake/hacking of your email account. I've received the same as everyone else about a past due bill via email and has not received service in years. Called and the mailbox was full and no one answered. Did a google search to make sure the number was correct and it is. I was interested in having them do my drive-way this year, but the notice and unanswered calls have changed my mind. I had them do my driveway several years ago. The job was done fine and pre-paid for in full which was required. I got the infamous collections email which is clearly false and also the wrong amount. This review is for the owner to notice and rectify this issue. Once that is taken care of I will gladly take this down. I have no email/phone number to contact them so this all I have. Have had Barreca sealcoat driveways at two houses, a total of about 15 years. The service was better in the early years, the last couple of years, had to call back to have cracks filled, not large cracks. This year the crew used another coat of the same thin sealer that has started to peel after only 90 days. Please take me off your customer list and for anyone considering Barreca for sealcoating, would not recommend them. read more

Had scheduled work back in May 2020. They called to cancel because of weather then never came back. Fast forward to Feb 2021 and they are sending an email stating that is the $135 is not paid sending to a collection agency..... for what??? Work was never performed.
