We were greeted immediately by the hostess, and once our party of eight had arrived, we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout the meal. I started with the buffalo wings, which were excellent. They were perfectly crisp, and the buffalo sauce had just the right amount of flavor and heat. For my entrée, I ordered the 8-ounce sirloin cooked medium rare. It arrived exactly as ordered--perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, and soft enough to cut with a butter knife. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had and were the perfect complement to the steak. Overall, my meal was a 10/10. I'm sort of baffled by all the reviews. Who enjoys a restaurant that smells so awful seconds upon walking in? I don't know about you, but sewage smell and food don't mix. After we were seated, our waiter took our drink orders. Service was good and our waiter was friendly but dare I say, too friendly. This guy did not stop talking and oversharing random personal information. I'm all for a few tidbits here and there but when we were in the middle of a conversation and eating our dinner, it was disruptive. Now the food - I had heard the pretzel bites were so good but supposedly they changed the recipe. They were pretty bland and without the sauces, I would not recommend. I ordered the mild mushroom flatbread and it was okay. So heavy on the lemon vinaigrette that I was wishing I could taste the mushrooms, goat cheese, and arugula. I also ordered a side ceasar salad which was decent but again, so heavy on dressing. Others in my party said their food was fine but it wasn't anything special. The service was impeccable from the hostess greeting me, to Halle's fast and friendly service with that infectious smile of hers to the manager that I spoke to as I was leaving. The food was excellent as well. I got the $15 combo. I chose the Caesar Salad and Club Sandwich (both excellent). I don't eat pork so Halle suggested ordering the sandwich no pork sub extra turkey which was a great suggestion that helped me make my choice easy. The Caesar was one of the better versions I've had btw. These folks have a great beer and wine selection and I was tempted but decided to try a Mai Tai instead, which was delicious. Trying something new today and came here for the first time. I decided to try the mushroom flatbread which had a nice earthy taste and along with that I tried the potato soup. The flatbread was okay and the soup tasted good but I believe it would be better if the soup itself was much thicker otherwise it was good. I tasted my husband's soup the Lobster bisque and it was really good, just the right thickness too! This place is very nice looking with ample seating and a very large bar. Several TV's are located throughout. Nice party room with a big screen tv. Outside seating also available. Our waiter was very nice and funny too. Very clean and happy atmosphere. Got the lunch combos and was well priced. The portions were just right were you won't fall asleep in an hour. The service was great. They are knowable of the menu and gave excellent reccomedations. I go the lobster bisque soup and Nashville chicken combo and it was perfect. The bisque was thick as it should be. Not a ton of lobster in it but I didn't expect that. The flavor was spot on and had sunflower seeds in it for a little crunch and flavor. The hot chicken flat bread was nice also and the pickles gave it a good kick. The place has a party room and it's a nice size. This is a hidden gem I must say. I will be back. read more

They don't look or taste like pretzel but the weird texture and the 2 sauces were excellent. Place was super busy when we got there but cleared out by the time our food came. They have a nice patio. I was excited to see the new menu and facelift at MTM. It does look nice -more like a sports bar now with lots of TV's. I'm not sure that's a fit for a steakhouse, but it didn't bother us, and it does say it's a Tavern now, which kind of speaks to casual. No bar food really - they do still have burgers and flat breads -fries. However, the menu has dropped several of our favorite dishes and appetizers. So we were sad about that. The pretzel bites are more, kind of like hot rolls - still good, but not really a pretzel. I ordered the Rib Eye- meat is expensive now, so I get the up in cost. However, I did not feel it was a great piece of meat. It was not tough- and cooked ok- but was tasteless and blah, for the price. I ordered a side of mushrooms for $3, which is fine, but I received some sliced mushrooms served in a tiny 1-2 oz condiment cup, so it was about 3 bites maybe. My huband had the Walleye which was " sort of " prepared like the old Oscars, but again, a smaller portion and too much cracker breading over took the light flavor of the fish. The miller salad is good as always - but now comes in a tiny bowl that makes it hard to eat due to the lettuce falling out of the small bowl. I dont hate the smaller portion but maybe on a salad plate? All in all, I don't think the quality and value is there anymore, and I hope they figure that out. We like it there. read more

It's been a while since we visited Matt the Miller, but we recently came here for brunch. The outside seating was very nice, helped by the lovely weather. The service was polite and friendly. We shared the Pretzel bite appetizers -- excellent. The portion is quite large, the pretzels are soft and come with two dipping sauces. I thought the honey mustard dip went very well with the pretzels. We also shared a Denver omelette. That was disappointing. It took about seven minutes before we were even greeted, and my Dr. Pepper tasted more like root beer than Dr. Pepper(food runner agreed) The food itself was decent, but for the price of the steak, a side, and a very small side salad,(45) it felt overpriced. Once the meal was dropped off, there was no follow-up from our waitress, and when it came time to cash out, she was nowhere to be found. Someone else ended up taking care of us. The highlight of the visit was honestly the food runner, who seemed to do most of the waitress's job for her. Also, kudos to the other waitress who noticed me and my son looking around, clearly wondering if anyone was going to cash us out, and stepped in to help. I went in having high hopes for this place after a couple recommendations. I came with a friend and we had a reservation. We showed up right on time and nothing was ready yet. We waited about5 minutes which wasn't bad. The server we had was not very attentive and I had no water for most of the time we were there. The place was busy though. I had the potato soup which I liked. And the fish and chips which was not that great. The batter did not seem to be fried all the way. It was very mushy, and the fries were not cooked. I'm not saying they were soggy, they were raw. So the kitchen clearly was not working the friers all that well. The place itself was clean and nice. I love the atmosphere in the building. It's also in a very nice location in Dublin. But the food was undercooked and our server was not around when we needed her. This restaurant is amazing! Our waitress Angel was so hospitable and made the experience 10x better. I came out with my mom and she got the flatbread margarita pizza and said it was "perfect"! I myself got the Matt's waygu burger and it was incredible! The meat was tender and juicy, the flavors mixed together perfectly and the pepper jack cheese was an amazing touch. Tried the flatbread once which was good but it had more of a cracker crust which wasn't my favorite. On the next visit I had the pasta and it was delicious. Made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch buffet a month in advance - was called 3 days prior & told they would not be having the buffet but would have regular menu plus brunch items. Too late to reserve another place so we went with it. Also celebrating a college graduation - was ready for drinks & great food! Server was very nice & efficient. Front of house staff friendly & quick. The food was meh at best- very bland and definitely not worth the prices. My first time here. The place is spacious and hidden from the Main Street but easy to find when using Yelp for places to eat. Our server Mariana, was very helpful. Patient and recommended a few dishes for us. This turned out to be a much better place than I expected. If I was going to suggest anything, add a few more items on the menu. More pasta dishes possibly. But I ordered the Black and Blue flat bread. It looks like a pizza but on flat bread. It was pretty good, but I'm interested in trying other items on the menu. Based on follow-ups with MTM we decided to give it another try and it was good to see to see the old friendly wonderful food and service back in Dublin again. Our server Megan was super helpful and attentive. Their new rebrand as a Steakhouse told us to try their Steaks and with Two Filets and Sirloin, we can positively say it was great. Steaks were cooked to order and sides (Miller /Caesar Salads/Baked Potatoes) were great. Drinks were timely and tasty - from the Black Walnut Old Fashion to the Flirtini and Expresso Martini. Surprised on a Friday night it was so quiet but staff and atmosphere were very nice. Thanks to the team that took care of us last night - really enjoyed it. read more

Met up here with a group of friends in this TOUGH to find location. Nice spot, 100% sure I **never** would have discovered it, even if I still lived in the area. Great service/attention for a large-ish group, no complaints. I was surprised to see that the Happy Hour menu was available, even on a Sunday (11-7, I believe...) and got to sample a few more smaller portions at reasonable prices. My small chopped salad (not a HH item) was GOOD, even with the dressing pre-added (prefer it on the side...) and my half-size Nashville hot chicken flat bread was pretty good, though I might order a different one if I return; they ALL look pretty tempting!! Great variety of apps, lighter choices and full entrees. Looks like they also have some good brunch options. We used to frequent Matt The Miller's Tavern when the Grandview location was still open. This location in Dublin isn't as convenient to get to from our house, so our visit frequency to MTM's has gone down precipitously since the pandemic. Which is a shame, because we LOVE their "pretzel bite" appetizer which is really more of a fried donut bread that you dip in their cheese or mustard dips. I also think MTM's has one of the better fish & chips in Columbus. The service here has consistently been friendly and efficient. The interior decor has an upscale brewpub feel to it. If I had one gripe other than them not being in Grandview anymore, I would say that their draft beer list seems to have shrunk since before the pandemic. read more

Been here acouple of times in the last couple of weeks . Both times it was a beautiful eve to sit out on their patio . One time I had the pork tenderloin and the second time I had the shrimp and grits. Both were very good. The calamari was very tasty but for three people it could of been alittle larger potions . I have been here a few times now. And I'm underwhelmed by the menu and the actual food. For this visit I had the black and bleu flatbread. It was ok. There's a lot of flavors going on there and it's very messy. It would benefit from less sauce, having the steak cut into bite-size pieces, and maybe add some arugula for freshness. Whatever the reddish sauce is, it's unnecessary and makes the whole thing a mess. Just go with the reduction and leave it at that. The service was great, very polite and attentive. read more

We ate at Matt the Miller's on Christmas Eve and we're a bit nervous from experiences at other restaurants that overbooked on and around holidays, so we were pleasantly surprised when we were immediately seated. The sound level was very low, and the service staffs' demeanor was quiet, mannerly and quite efficient. We ordered the pretzel bites as an appetizer, and they were HUGE! More like small rolls. They tasted like soft garlic bites than anything pretzel related though. There were a couple burgers ordered, which were fine, if not exceptional. A pork tenderloin sandwich was recommended and ordered as medium, but perhaps a tad underdone, at least as considered by the person that ate it. The meatloaf was enjoyable, and the margherita flatbread had a nice cracker crust and a nice blend of cheeses, but was rather greasy. We did not order desserts as the portion sizes are generous. Food was fairly good though not worth going back for due to the fact that the whole restaurant has a horrible mildew smell. I see a bad smell mentioned in a few other reviews over time, and clearly the owners/management have done nothing to remedy the situation. When you are served a salad without any dressing? That's just nuts. I got the miller salad which was decent, but holy onions! And I love onions! I also ordered soup since I'm not a huge fan of ordering steak out.. and after all The steaks came wrong, I thought soup would Be good. Well I was wrong again! No one likes cold soup. The waitress was absolutely the worst she clearly did not want to be there and would hardly fill Up any water glasses. When you are at a place where the cheapest steak is $30 sorry but I shouldn't have to ask for a water refill, but she sure filled up Our wine and beers fast! The final straw was when the birthday girl ordered her cake and she literally slammed it down in front of her. She just turned 14 and this was supposed to be a special dinner for her which ended up being the worst ever. I wasn't going to complain, since my food was decent? that was the final straw for me. I would love to say this seemed to be just an off night for her, but we were in the big party room and the other waitress seemed super annoyed as well. First time to Matt the Miller Tavern. Had lunch the weekend of the Memorial tournament, 2024. Restaurant was very clean and nice decor. Solid service. The pretzel bites were excellent. Lived up to the hype. Comes with garlic sauce but the spicy (and sweet) mustard was excellent. We had the tomato basil bisque and loaded potato soup. Both were outstanding. Entrees- shrimp and grits were good. But not great. The grits needed a little more flavor but the sauce, shrimp and peppers made up for that. Also had the turkey club- excellent as well.
