Always a good time. Love hanging on the patio with a nice cocktail and a cigar! This time tried "The Nice List" cocktail. Did not disappoint and service was great as always!

Stopped in with some other Yelpers for a night cap after a recent event. It's a fun, semi swanky space. Their patio is great on a nice night, and the fire pits help make it even better. I will say their pricing is a bit high, especially considering their location, but hopefully they're able to make it. Their beer selection is seriously lacking, with the only a few options. They really try to push their spirits, which unfortunately isn't my taste. The 2 drinks my wife tried to order they were missing ingredients for Borge, which wasn't ideal. It's a cool space, but again, their pricing is a bit out of hand in my opinion.

This recently opened cocktail bar is a welcome addition to Jamestown's nightlife. The atmosphere is great: it's classy while still comfortable, and sophisticated without being stuffy. For those so inclined, there are cigars on hand as well as drinks. Currently, the drinks menu features classic as well as signature cocktails as well as a few low-alcohol options. Alcohol-free and barrel-aged offerings are billed as coming soon. I'm not much of a drinker, so I opted for a Barcelona Spritz (vermouth, prosecco, soda, orange oil). It was smooth with a nice orange flavor. My wife got to try the Smoke Fashion (a smoked cocktail with maple bourbon, sweet potato, sugar, and orange bitters) and the Rye Tai (rye, Cointreau, oregeat, and lime) and enjoyed both. Barrel & Co seems to have a wide assortment of spirits on hand, including a few local products courtesy of Fainting Goat. Prices here range from $10 to $15, and the latter isn't unreasonable considering the technique involved. Speaking of which, the lead bartender (Jaesa?) whipped up drinks with skill and ease. While I look forward to seeing Barrel & Co expand its offerings (a spin on a White Russian would be great), even with its current menu, it's a great place to drop in for an after-dark drink.

Jamestown has finally opened a new bar and it's called Barrel & Co. and it's wonderful! Beautiful building inside and out and the decor is really chic, plenty of places to sit down and get to know someone, me and my friend only got a couple drinks and they did not dissapoint! I tried a smoked old fashion and I recommended my friend try a minty Moscow mule but with tequila and the drinks were good! A bit costly just a heads up but they know what they're doing! There is seating outdoors and they also have heaters too, great date night spot!

A new hangout in Jamestown, had to check it out- very cool vibes! The decor and atmosphere is a nice mix of upscale and relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I tried a mixed drink with elderflower and it was very tasty and refreshing. We meant to just stop in for 1 drink but ended up staying til it got dark. Enjoyed the patio space so much!

I've heard of this new high end whiskey bar. The interior decor is very inviting, it creates an amazing ambiance. The staff were courteous and attentive. We met up with some friends and the wonderful owners. They had a local musician playing earlier but we missed it because we had dinner next door. One of them shared beef jerky and sticky rice to share with all of us. And the nuts were a perfect snack, special treat from Asia. They also have a nice cigar selection. Outdoor patio has a nice setup and I can't wait to go again as the weather gets warmer. My friends and I ordered beer, cider, and cocktails. Everyone has a great time and enjoyed the experience. I will definitely be a regular!

This is a nice casual spot in Jamestown for a couples date nite or a group friends outing. The ambiance is classy and intimate. There is also a nicely sized outdoor patio with fire pits. We arrived and the owner greeted our group of four and quickly directed us to a seating area. He carried a fourth chair over to accommodate us. There is a nice selection of wine and beer. Our service was satisfactory and everyone was really nice.

We ended up here on a Friday night, and weren't disappointed at all. It offers a delightful escape with its superb drinks, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. Nestled in a cozy setting, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. Whether you're sipping on their expertly crafted cocktails or enjoying a few beers, the place delivers a top-notch experience that keeps you coming back for more. With its warm atmosphere and friendly staff, it's worth a visit.

Took my husband here on a surprise outing with friends. This place is elegant, offers crafted cocktails, and perfect environment to smoke a cigar. You can't smoke inside the building, but there is a spacious patio with comfortable sitting to sit back and relax. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and followed to our choice of sitting and provided with a glass of water for each person. Waitress came back to take our drink order. My favorite drink was The Mob Wife, it has a hint of sweetness and light. Old Fashions are a must for the hubs to pair with his cigar. We went on a Friday evening and got to enjoy the sunset view. Music was calm jazz music, I would prefer a little bit more upbeat music after sunset, but that could be a personal preference. Simply Thai is right behind and you can order food to eat at the Barrel and Co or walk right in over. We went with the second choice and then went back to end the night with one more drink.

We didn't have reservations but were seated right away, which made for an easy start to the evening. The space has a modern, relaxed vibe that feels perfect for a casual dinner or drinks. We started with the Lobster Nachos, which were a fun twist since they're made with crispy potato wedges instead of chips. They were topped with lobster, bacon, scallions, and a creamy sauce: rich, indulgent, and great for sharing. For the main dish, I had the Ribeye steak with a side of cauliflower mash. The steak had a nice sear and great flavor, and the cauliflower mash was smooth, creamy and delicious, making it a great alternative to traditional mashed potatoes. A solid first visit with flavorful dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. Earl's Landing is a great new addition to the downtown High Point dining scene, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu. Try the Lobster Nachos if you want something unique to share, they're a standout starter.

The perfectly cooked soft center, the crisp exterior, and the sticky ssssaaaaauce it's covered in... It's savory and heavy enough to be a meal but I was being generous and decided to share the appetizer with my spouse. They do offer a spice scale and they don't hold back. I foolishly tried the spice level 3 (out of 5 being the hottest) and should have chosen a 2 spice level. But the cauli was so good I fought through the pain. Worth it. I could have easily stopped there but we also ordered the garlic naan (also yessssss) as well as the Lamb Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Both those entrees were delicious but the Korma really stood out to me. The rich and creamy sauce was very unique to my pallet and when I returned, I ordered the Chicken Korma. Clearly I love a good sauce. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very spacious and would be great for groups or a romantic dinner for 2 (or 3 if you are into that sort of thing). The service was excellent and our server was patient when we ask questions about the menu. Fortunately, a lot of the dishes have descriptions on the menu so you have a good idea of what you are ordering. Looking forward to returning to Peppers again .... for the cauliflower... and the naan....

We were seated immediately, and given time/space to look over the menu, but with our server still hovering nearby in case we had questions or were ready quickly. When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here. Pillowy, soft, fresh, and generous with the garlic.

You'll also find a really neat classic style pool table that has been freshly re-felted for those that like a distraction while they imbibe. There's also plenty of merch, both branded for Fox & Rocks, or just because they're interesting products. Grab your favorite drink on the rocks and wander around perusing the selection. They have a growing amount of bourbons and whiskey available, as well as several beers on tap from NC breweries like Sycamore and Red Oak, and of course some bottled or canned selections as well. Finally, I just have to point out some creative things. The Carolina Core soccer club mascot is the fox, and that is part of the reason for naming the bar this way. It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

With 20 rotating taps, there's something for every taste: craft beer, wine by the glass and by the bottle, new specialty pours to try and mocktails, making it a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike. Seasonal cocktails were flowing the nights we visited--peppermint espresso martinis, spiced nightcaps, and cranberry-ginger mules kept the holiday spirit high during the cold night. Then karaoke took over, with the whole room singing along to crowd favorites like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Sweet Caroline," that Hawaiian Christmas song haha plus there was a dramatic, everyone-at-the-bar version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You." It's the kind of cozy-but-lively night where Christmas spirit meets late-night funand no one wanted the music to end. The super peppy bartenders kept the atmosphere energetic and welcoming, even on that rainy night. This place is perfect for meeting friends, girls night out, first dates or lingering after a great meal. Weekly events like trivia nights, karaoke, and live music keep the vibe lively and fun, ensuring there's always something happening. The whole building is open so if you need a quite, romantic spot away from the others to talk, maybe lay out a card game or just to escape that "song you hate on karoke", patrons can sit at other, comfy tables throughout the establishment (and take your drinks). Whether you're there for the drinks, the entertainment, or the community feel, Bevelry delivers a consistently great experience.
