Barrelhouse Burlingame has quietly become one of my favorite stops in the area and a lot of that credit goes to the people behind the bar. Met Rob for the first time tonight and I'm already a little annoyed at how good he is. Solid drinks, great instincts, calm steady presence that makes the whole thing look way too easy. Quiet night but he still showed up and delivered like he had something to prove. First time meeting him and I'm already plotting my return. Well played Rob. Well played. We were looking for a dog friendly place to grab some drinks. They allowed the dogs inside and outside. We dropped in Saturday around 6:15pm. It wasn't that busy. Came on a Wednesday evening and thankfully not packed. Loved that Barrelhouse has an abundance of seating - bar, booth, as well as an outdoor patio. They have so many great specialty drink options but opted for something sweet, the Peach Freeze. I absolutely LOVED this drink. Comes with white wine, peach puree, lemon, and peach liqueur. Tastes like juice, and cannot taste the wine at all. My boyfriend got the "El Fuego" The Heat. I was not really a fan of this. Has Blanca tequila, mezcal, Serrano pepper, pineapple, agave and lime. Definitely way too strong for my liking! If you want something with a little kick, try this one out. We ordered another drink to share, Hibiscus Haze, which has reposada tequila, hibiscus, agave, and lime. This one has a sweet flavor at first, with a little sour aftertaste, but refreshing. Six a cute pink drink with a flower topping. Great vibes, ambiance, and music! Would definitely come by again to try their other drinks. I loved their selection of unique cocktails that you could sample here - they also have a limited happy hour menu where you can save a few dollars off some beer and wine. New fav bar. I'm so obsessed with their drinks and empanadas. The minted matcha, London essence and whiskey smash were 10/10 and I'm so picky with my cocktails. Definitely coming back to try the others!! The beef empanada had such good flavor and if you love mushrooms and pepper Jack cheese you'll love the mushroom empanadas too. Chimichurri was good with the empanadas but I wish it came with it instead of costing an extra $1.50. I also enjoyed their outdoor seating area. Overall loved this place so much!! read more

Okay this place deserves all the stars. We had the best Wednesday cousin night at Barrel House in Burlingame and Fiona truly made the experience. She was hella chill, super attentive, and just matched our energy perfectly. You know when your server just gets the vibe? That was her. The drinks are consistently so good. My go-tos are the Minted Matcha and the Java Jolt. I literally order them every time and they never miss. What makes this spot even more special for me is that we've celebrated some really meaningful moments here too. We've come for a birthday and even stopped by after our SF City Hall wedding, so it's one of those places that holds really good memories for us. I don't know why this place has mediocre reviews! The drinks are unique, fantastic, and a perfect blend of alcohol and flavor. I had the Mexican Bonfire and the Maverick, and was thoroughly impressed with both of them. My friend ordered Old Fashions that looked quite impressive as well! The price wasn't bad for the drinks (~$17 per for a nice cocktail). The service was fantastic from the bartender, who was easygoing and gave great recommendations on drinks. The ambiance was really pleasant with a nice outdoor patio style seating with nice decor and plants all around. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual conversation with a friend of mine and nothing drowning out our conversation. It's a metered parking lot but free after 6pm. There was an event happening (wine walk) so the streets were crowded with people doing a wine crawl. We think we will participate next year.
