Great cocktails and mocktails, friendly staff, and good vibes all around! Wednesday karaoke and Salsa music/dancing on Thursdays.

Came by for their relaunch after a series of renovations. Super vibey, lounge-like with red accent lights. One side is filled with booth style seats and the other is a lengthy bar. Service team is really friendly and brings great energy to the space. Tropicana - rum, guava, mint, lime, syrup - incredibly refreshing, citrusy Pretty in Pink - gina, strawberry, green tea, lemon, syrup - also refreshing with the strawberry and green tea balancing out nicely Electric Boom - vodka, kumquat, butterfly tea, coriander, lime, syrup - another refreshing drink, citrusy, bright All three of the drinks I tried were vibrant, flavorful, and artistic. While the menu does have more spirit forward options, it seems like a big part of the menu leans semi-tropical, citrusy, and bright. I do live high quality drinks like this and Vinyl Room knocks them out of the park.

Suchhh a cute spot in Burlingame! It's like modern retro inside and there is so much potential. It's spacious and not overly loud of anything. The waitress was super sweet and accommodating. The drinks were also delicious.

I came on a Sunday night for the relaunch after a series of renovations and it's so beautiful. The place was very Vibey almost felt like a bar you would find an SF so this was a great addition to the Burlingame area. There are a lot of booth as well as counter space. My partner and I ordered two drinks: 1. Pretty in pink - gin, strawberry green tea, lemon syrup - this drink was so good. I finished it within a few minutes. 2. Tropicana - rum guava mint lime syrup. Also super good and refreshing. 3. Electric boom - vodka, kumquat, butterfly tea, coriander, lime syrup. My pallet for cocktails are typically leaning towards light fruity refreshing, and all of these hit the mark. They are happy hour deals are pretty sick as well, so I would definitely be coming back after a workday with some coworkers!

Came here on a Saturday night after dinner, before the crowd so it was nice and quiet. Love the cozy vibe and friendly bartenders. I usually asked for low proof cocktails on night outs (I'm lightweight and don't like alcohol taste/smell in my drinks) but not all bar/club could make me drinks that I like. Bartender here taught me how to ask for the exact amount of alcohol in my cocktail in the future and it worked. I tried their Snowdrift (this one can't be made low proof but it's nice for cold nights) and Midori Sour. Will definitely come back on another night to try their Salsa night and other drinks.

Came in for a couple of drinks and ended up having such a great time thanks to the service. Naun, the bartender, really made the experience--super friendly, attentive, and clearly knows their craft. Every drink was well-balanced and thoughtfully made, and Naun gave great recommendations based on what we liked. It's not just about good cocktails here--the vibe is elevated by how welcoming the staff is. You can tell Naun genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows in every interaction. Definitely coming back for both the drinks and the top-notch service.

Great ambiance. I've been here on multiple occasions from Thursdays with a DJ to chill Sundays. Always a good time and great service. The waiter Naun is super cool and knows his drinks extremely well. I highly recommended coming here and checking it out. Music is always playing.

    Do they have parking?

There is tons of public parking around the business in public lots, and there are spaces in front. If you go on a Friday or Sat, there is more competition for parking spaces.

Do they play hip hop music?

Depends on the night and the DJ. I've been there on Fridays and Saturdays (pre-pandemic) and the DJ's generally played Top 40, Hip Hop, and EDM mixes. They (used to) have live music occasionally too which is always fun, but not as much for the…

Do they charge at the door?

I don't believe so. No charge on the week night when we visited.

What's the average age here?? My friends and I are 21/22 would we fit in?

Anywhere from 21-40. It's diverse and a fun, non serious kind of place.

Hi! anybody know what kind of music the dj spins on a friday? i asked the management but they never responded. thanks!

I made it for the first time last night, and will certainly be making it a new part of my dance habit... (The next ones are June 13 and July 4, I think.) This month there was an intermediate class at 7 and beginner class at 8; the teachers were helpful and engaging, and found a good balance between fun and challenging for classes with a pretty wide range of skill levels. Social dancing was from 9 to midnight. The DJ, one of my favorites from Swing Central, played a great mix -- he always seems to do a good job paying attention to the energy of the room and varying the mood and tempo accordingly, keeping people happily dancing for the whole night. They're at a new venue in Burlingame starting this spring, which is a nice space for dancing. The dance floor is smooth and feels spacious although it's not huge; it stayed pretty busy for most of the dance, but in a way that mostly felt intimate rather than crowded. There's a kitchen area off to one side, with water and some snacks, and a kind of lobby area near the entrance that was good for cooling off and chatting. Unlike some other dances, where the really good dancers tend to keep to themselves in one corner, here people were doing a lot of mingling, even more so than at Swing Central. I'm pretty shy, but got asked to dance several times, and found many people approachable enough to do some asking myself.

We sat outside, and the atmosphere felt tired and uninspired. There was nothing particularly inviting or memorable about the space. We ordered the bruschetta sampler ($24), choosing the mango, salmon, mushroom with prosciutto, and tomato mozzarella varieties. Surprisingly, they all tasted almost exactly the same. Nothing tasted fresh or vibrant. The bread was especially disappointing--bland, lacking texture, and seemingly devoid of flavor. The mango wasn't sweet, the tomatoes tasted like nothing, and even the mozzarella lacked freshness and character. The wine was equally underwhelming. My husband ordered the Tempranillo and I had the Albariño. Neither was enjoyable; both tasted harsh and overly alcoholic rather than balanced or flavorful. Even the presentation missed the mark. The glassware felt dated and unattractive, which only added to the overall feeling that the restaurant is past its prime. Unfortunately, this was not a memorable meal for the right reasons. With so many great dining options available, we won't be returning.

About once a month, Kohl Mansion hosts musical performances (chamber concerts) in the Great Hall, a very intimate setting nothing like a symphony hall. Think of a Victorian era sitting room/parlour with a gloriously high ceiling and this is what you get - musicians on a slightly raised stage in front of a (non-operational) fireplace, and just several rows of seats surrounding the stage on 3 sides. I felt like I was enjoying my favorite Beethoven string quartet in a Beauty-and-the-Beast setting. You know what I'm talking about - that scene with the Beast sitting in front of the fireplace w/ the doggy footrest? Concert performances start at 7pm, but their resident musicologist, Kai Christiansen, gives a pre-concert talk at 6pm. If you are under 30, you are really in for a treat in the form of a generous discount - their "Gen Y & Z" discount tickets are only $15, compared to $45 for adult and $42 for senior tickets. To my fellow under-30 yelpers... get on this before you make it over the 30+ hill!! The parking lot fills to capacity with concert-goers so I recommend arriving no later than 6:30pm to ensure you get a parking spot. Complimentary refreshments are served after the concert - e.g. wine, cheese, charcuterie, fruit & other finger foods. One of the best refreshment spreads I've ever seen to be honest...without sounding too gluttonous. ;) You can meet and mingle with the musicians at this post-concert reception. So glad I found this place. Can't wait to be back in the coming months.
