I was also surprised the fee was very modest! (They put out the red walking carpet!) It was so dreadful thinking about calling moving companies. I've been told horror stories of bad moving experiences like carelessness (not handling items properly leading to damaged  items later on), and overcharging on top of that. Everything was completed professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. What really impressed me was their willingness to go above and beyond. In addition to the tree trimming, they hauled away several pieces of furniture and boxes I wanted to discard, and they even helped move some furniture around my property at no additional charge. The owner was an absolute pleasure to work with--professional, genuine, honest, and incredibly reasonable with pricing. The Good: As movers, they're quick and efficient. They got the job done with minimal issue…read more(nothing was lost or damaged), so no complaints there. The Bad: John, the owner, is at best careless and at worst dishonest. I read the other negative reviews here, and that all seems pretty on-brand. He will bully you into accepting his shady practices. PDQ moved my stuff twice. The first time, John pressured me into signing a document saying they wouldn't be liable for anything damaged during the move. When I questioned him on this, he seemed offended that I would even ask and assured me that if he damaged anything he would pay for it out of pocket just because he would "feel bad." Then why have me sign a document? He just wanted me to take his word. I caved and signed it, and luckily nothing was damaged during the move. They moved my stuff into his buddy's storage, which he claimed would be prorated if I didn't use the whole month (it wasn't) and I could pay by credit card (I couldn't). The second time they moved my stuff, John brought an extra mover just so he could get "in and out" quicker (the rate for an additional mover was not worth the time it saved me). Then, his incorrect math overcharged me 0.5 hours (see attached photo). He was rushing me to sign the check, so I didn't bother to check his math (my bad, but still...). I didn't catch this error until I was going through old documents years later. 0.5 hours at $225/hour is... well, a lot of money. The entire experience left a poor taste in my mouth, like I had been taken advantage of. Personally, I would look for a mover with a bit more professional courtesy.

After over a week of calling I finally reached David who explained he had an unexpected situation and no ability to contact me. I can understand that but no phone call even days later to explain the situation. The biggest issue is I have not been refunded the money after texting multiple times with no response. He said he would send it, communicated a technical issue and has not responded since. The reviews from others are great and my friend had great things to say. But not a good company it appears if a problem happens. I hope he makes it right and I get my money back.

And when I contacted them about it they said they would get back to me and never did. I'm pretty sure this isn't even a legitimate company. They literally showed up in a Uhaul van. Seriously guys? If you care about your belongings pick another company to move for you.

Used Muraway in January for a combo of moving stuff and packing things away for storage. I just…read morerecently had to move again and uncovered the extent of the damage to my things. We had 3 man crew and on the initial move, one of our large standing shelves were damaged beyond use during transportation in a 10-15 minute drive. I was told their insurance policy will cover up to 10 CENTS per lb of item damage. Meaning our 50-60 lb shelf would only be covered for $5-$6. I asked the crew to disassemble my bed frame and provided tools and instructions that came with the bed frame. I asked if they could keep the instructions and tools with the frame or give it back to me. They disassembled it fine and told me they wrapped the instructions and tools to the frame. Today when I moved it was no where to be seen. Finally, in our initial move, I asked the crew to shrink wrap my mattress and store it away. I also told them it was 200-300 lbs. When two crew members tried to pick it up, I recommended asking the 3rd for help but they were insistent it was unnecessary. They began to struggle about halfway during the walk and ended up dragging the mattress on the floor. I didn't notice the extent of the damage until today when I unwrapped it fully and noticed they had ripped it. Picture attached. Overall wouldn't recommend. The crew was young and inexperienced. Performance overall wasn't good. I didn't give a review initially because I thought they did a good enough job and they were all nice and hard working, but after seeing the damage to our things I think it was pretty mediocre.

We had a whole day of moving a house of 31 years with them, and they all went above and beyond. To be honest, the whole buying a house process stretched out that my mom had to reschedule twice--- but Lisa gave so much grace and patience. Then, today, moving day--- it was wild. While I initially thought the big truck wouldn't get filled-- Hugo, Ivan, and Vova found a way with their Tetris like minds and got most of our belongings in all in one piece and even put two beds back together! I think the biggest help was just them offering so much more, particularly asking questions and double checking if we preferred something to be moved in one place or another. Best believe, we will be referring you all to more friends and family. Incredibly personable, efficient, and helpful beyond what we could imagine. Thank you, guys... seriously.
