AFD movers were absolutely amazing! First, Mark was able to help us out securing movers within a three day notice. He helped us figure out how many we needed and the services AFD provides. We were given a great deal, other moving places would've charged us $50-$100 more and hour but AFD provided us with a very reasonable quote. They also called us the day before to confirm the move, which you don't see a lot of places do (just in case life happens and you have to reschedule). Then came the actual move. Andrew and his team were terrific! He had contacted us to let us know they were 30 minutes away. And they got to our apartment right on time! We had an on site move, going from a ground floor apartment to the second story, and Andrew and his team eased our worries with their steadfast hard work! Their fast work care with our furniture made this whole process a lot easier! We own two vintage pinball machines that were the only things left to us from our grandfather who passed a few years ago. We know they are big bulky items that most moving companies would've charged us extra for, but AFD did not! Andrew and the team took great care with them, that really eased our stress. They mean so much to us that it was very heartfelt to see the team take great care of them. Overall I would recommend AFD Movers to anyone! I had to move from Irvine to Chino Hills, last minute, with a ton load of stuff. These guys showed up on time and were extremely professional. They worked extremely fast, wrapped up all the mattresses and couches, and we're extremely careful not to damage anything. The price was very fair but I gave them a very good tip because their work was excellent. Absolutely zero complaints. I hope I dont have to move again but if I do Im going with AFD Movers. Trust me, I've used other moving companies and I always had issues with things getting damaged or guys working too slow to delay time. Go with AFD these guys are the best by far. I didn't even bother calling another moving company for quotes. I trusted the reviews and was really impressed with their ease during scheduling. We had an afternoon booking to have three movers meet us at our new rental house after our 3-day commute down the west coast. We were running 4 1/2 hours behind and they worked with us, pushed their stay time back, and hung out until our moving truck arrived. They worked EXTREMELY hard after what, I'm sure, was already a long day. Their prices were great, their staff was so nice, and we really did have such a positive experience. The Worst. Avoid These Yo-Yos at All Costs. After 6 1/2 years of rebuilding and literally hundreds of trucks and trailers navigating our steep hill, the AFD driver was the first to get his truck so completely stuck that he blocked all four properties the driveway serves for over THREE HOURS. While the AFD crew refused to call a tow truck, they kept trying (and failing) to get the truck unstuck, blocking other crews and workers who couldn't leave because of it. Eventually, they unloaded the truck (wouldn't let a little thing like blocking others stop them), and only then did they finally call a tow truck -- something the neighbors had been begging and yelling at them to do for hours. Meanwhile, workers were forced to wait and stay on the clock while AFD's incompetence dragged on. The language and communication were a joke, and the supervisor on the phone couldn't care less. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more clueless crew. If you want The Five Stooges, call AFD. If you want movers who actually know what they're doing, keep looking... read more

He and his partner worked quickly and effectively which was very important when you are paying by the hour! Neither of them dragged their feet and never complained. 3 month ago my family and I moved from our old place to this new place. We were pretty concerned about all our heavy things, our awkward shaped furniture and fragile items. Let me tell you, I have not forgotten how helpful our ADF movers were, and truthful. Unfortunately names I do not remember, but they'll know who they are. It was a great day thanks to them. We thought our day would be stressful but they were our heros. I was so amazed of how fast the problem solved and organized everything. I remember being concerned and confused of how our heavy furniture would be moved or organized. With one glance, with second mover explained what he planned to do. We were just in awe with them. So impressed! We decided to get them in-n-out because we appreciated their flexibility and patience with us. I tried moving some of my stuff but they were not having it. I know we hired them but man, they sure know how to make you feel like a lady. My 7 year old daughter was nonstop talking to them. Turns out one of them was a dad and knew exactly what to say to her. It was very nice to connect. Unfortunately one of our dining chairs got chipped or small corner broke. I don't remember but they were honest of how it happen and gave us a pretty nice discount. Because of their accountability we totally didn't care. We were just so happy to have moved everything we worked hard to have finally in the new place. Wow! Just wow! The team is so professional and efficient. My cross country movers from Chicago could not fit my 9 foot sofa through the door so it had to be hoisted onto the second floor balcony, which they couldn't do so I had to find new movers. I had been looking for movers for a month to hoist the sofa, and every company was charging 3 hours minimum plus a hoisting fee and it was out of our budget. I might as well have bought a new sofa! I finally did a quote request through Yelp. AFD answered so quickly and I got my sofa done THE SAME day for a FLAT affordable fee. The job was done in less than an hour and the 3 guys were so friendly. When we move out of this rental unit, I'll definitely be hiring them again. We had three movers for our cross-county (15 min. drive) move. They arrived on time during the arrival window (however, I did only get about a 5-10 minute notice before they arrived). Were they the epitome of customer service and kindness? Not exactly. Did they do a thorough and careful job of packing our items? Absolutely. It was a long day due to a difficult refrigerator but they didn't complain or leave the work undone. Really appreciate how helpful they were in helping us move our belongings to our new home. This is my second time using ADF movers (different name/owner 4 years ago), and the service was even better than before! The 2 movers, Anthony and Cristian, were friendly, accommodating, and had great personalities. Moving is a labor intensive job and they had a positive attitude throughout. I know our move wasn't easy with the large heavy boxes (plus stairs), and not once did they deter from providing great service. I hope I don't have to move for a long time, but when I do, I'll use ADF movers again. 10/10 recommend. read more

They are extremely professional, do a fabulous job of communicating (before and during the move), and get the job done well! They are a hardworking team! We reached out to a company we used before (that also has 5 stars / perfect reviews on Yelp) and they came in with a price that was a few bucks more, but when we said our move-in date got pushed back - they increased our rate an additional $50/hour. We decided told them we were going with someone else and they brought it back down. Uhhh, no thanks. Moving is already stressful as it is. Well, no games here with this place (formerly Nomad)! We hired AFD Movers for a local move, including packing and moving. We found the crew to be careful and hard working, but there were also a few problems. The good: The crew was hard-working and mostly pretty careful. We especially thought they did a good job assembling, moving, and disassembling our furniture. They showed up on time, were receptive to feedback, and completed the move in a reasonable amount of time. The bad (1): AFD uses the word "free" a little too freely in their marketing. They will say things like "free packing" or "free furniture disassembly", but what they really mean is that they charge the same as any other moving company -- you pay for time and materials. Personally I think this is straight--up false advertising. The bad (2): There were a few other minor problems. They didn't do a great job packing our art or plants (just threw them in a box) and some of these items suffered minor damage. Also none of the crew spoke great English, so communications were sometimes difficult. Overall, If we were going to move again, we would consider AFD again but wouldn't automatically use them. If we did hire them again we would expect to pay for packing materials and probably give a little more feedback about our expectations when it comes to art and plants. read more
