One 12" Supreme ordered on-site to go. I ordered and took a seat along the wall to wait and immediately noticed the place was filthy. The corridor to the back door looked like a badly run day care. Half eaten plates of cold food and McDonald's bags were everywhere. Children were playing in a tray of pizza dough like it was modeling clay. Disgusting, but okay, let that one go. Pizza came and I hit the road home. Opening the box, the first thing I noticed were the large par-cooked wedges of colored peppers on top of the pie. Large wedges are great in antipasto, but not so great on my pie. And I love green peppers in a supreme pizza, but properly portioned and fully cooked. Hmmm? Interesting, I thought. Open my mind and give it a try. The next thing I noticed was that Gio's had failed to cut the pie. Hmmm, again. Never seen that before in a take-out pizza. Maybe that's just how they do it. I did not ask for it to be cut. Lift the pie out of the box onto my cutting board. The bottom of the box was soaking wet. Not greasy wet, water wet. Can't explain the physics of this one, but my disappointment was mounting and the product becoming increasingly suspect. These folks advertise "New York style crispy thin crust". Definitely not. Good crust, but nowhere near thin and crispy. Gotta give Gio's five stars on their pizza sauce. As good as it gets. Tossing the par cooked peppers, the pie was excellent for what it was with one picky exception. Their ham is portioned into small cubes, rather than a traditional thin slice. Looked like something from a Spam ad on TV. Well hey, I love Spam and am probably being too picky. Gio's? Not now, not again, not for me.

Great little locale Pizza at Barro's! I recently visited Barro's Pizza, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu had a great variety of options, making it hard to choose. I finally settled on their signature pizza, and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a taste sensation! The service was impressive, with our order arriving quickly and the staff checking in to ensure everything was to our liking. In addition to the great food, the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to other places I've been to. Barro's offers excellent value for such high-quality pizza. In my opinion Barro's Pizza is the best pizza the valley has to offer. It is Chicago style pizza with the thick crust. They also have the best lunch deal in town. For under $5 you can get two slices of pizza and a drink OR a slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink. Their salad bar has a pretty good variety of items. The ranch dressing is amazing. read more

The calzone had a lot of ricotta and not a lot of other ingredients in it, so if you're not a big ricotta fan, this probably isn't the best choice. That said, the ricotta itself had a different flavor than other ricotta I'm used to. The calzone doesn't come with sauce inside, and the side of sauce is pretty small. I was charged $0.50 for an extra... I probably could've used two or three sides of sauce since the calzone had none. That being said, the sauce itself was excellent... very close to the flavor of sauce that my family makes. This sauce really gave the calzone a good Taste, it just needed more!
