    Mega Meat Pizza

Now THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! This is the Barro's I know!! Management reached out and righted the wrong. Stopped in to pick up our carry out order and the staff was very friendly. The pizza was super hot and fresh. Upon arriving home, the pizza was still piping hot. Biting into the pizza, that cheese pull to topping ratio was spot on. I can truly say, the last time must've just been an off day because this was definitely an ON, GREAT DAY! Kudos to the chef for sure. Chefs kiss! We'd definitely be back and thank the entire team for the redo! Barro's has the best pizza, hands down!

Booth and table - open seating

My first time here and trying to find the best pizza spot in the Valley. I was skeptical of the reviews at first. Dined in on a Saturday night. I like the layout of the restaurant. They offer table and booth seating available with flat screen TV to watch. A variety of food options to choose from. I ordered the Barro's Special with a side of a garden salad, which is not pictured and large fountain drink. The service was great with no delays. Highly recommend and looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!

Best wings in Ahwatukee, next to native wings. The pizza is the best, price is perfect! A must try if in the area

We ordered a bacon and mushroom pizza with 24 traditional buffalo wings. They had the Vikings and Rams game going on the tvs. Music was at a perfect level. The customer service was great. Our pizza and wings were awesome, pizza was hot, filled with a good dose of toppings as the cheese melted away. Wings were well cooked and bathed in plenty of sauce. The missing star is because the restaurant smelled dirty. The further away from the door or counter the stronger the odor. Maybe the play area needs a good cleaning. But other than that overall good experience.

I didn't have time to dine in I took us to go well I'm super impressed with a prompt and made to order meatball sandwich and pizza about 22 minute wait. I was so impressed that meatball sandwich it may not it look pretty but looks aren't everything this was by far one of the best meatball sandwiches I've had in a while. The pizza Was cooked evenly and perfect it was not Dowie at all ingredients you could tell they were fresh I was really enjoy the sauce Right amount of sweetness and not overpowered with too many spices. This place is a good on the go for lunch just call ahead.

First time here and had a coupon for a large one topping. The feel of this place reminds me of a place where I used to live, it was a nice familiar feeling. The staff was friendly and my pizza was piping hot and fresh. It was so hot my toppings wanted to slide off. I let it cool a bit before diving in. I got a chicken pizza. The first piece of chicken was rubbery and chewy. The other pieces were yummy. So I'll chalk it up to a bad piece not the whole pie. I liked the thin crust and the sauce, no issues there. I would definitely come back and try some other items.

Cold, small, more crust then pie and was now more expensive...

Went to Barro's on Baseline and 24th for lunch, never had issues before. I got two slices which were are now a dollar more, no biggie portions are great and slices are awesome... Then I get the two smallest, coldest slices I have ever had at Barro's. When I mentioned to the staff since two brand new pies came out that didn't look any better it was met with a more indifferent and? Used to be good quality food. But now more expensive and for less, plus cold... walk in for cold small pizza.... no thanks, won't be back.

Great pizza for a reasonable price. The staff was very nice as well. You can't beat 4.75 for pizza and unlimited drinks.

I visited the restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day with my mom and we had the loveliest time. The service was excellent, the ambiance was so nice with acoustic live music that created the best vibe. We loved the food too, we ordered the Italian chopped salad and it was great along with plenty of delicious freshly baked bread. For dinner, we ordered the Butternut Squash Sacchetti pasta with frangelico cream sauce and almond dust, and it was delicious. But the dish you must try here is the Mafalde Norcina - a ruffled ribbon pasta with wild mushroom, sausage ragu and truffle cream. This dish was so packed with flavor, I finished every last bite and it's a really good size portion. There's a nice large bar and bar area along with plenty of parking. My two favorite dishes that never miss are the Lasagna and the Chicken Parm. Like clockwork, it has always been impeccable. Sadly my most recent experience will likely be my last experience. I ordered the Chicken Parm and when it came out there was something missing from my plate. Instead of the usual Rigatoni Pasta with Vodka Sauce there were a couple of stale chunks of potatoes and some sorry looking asparagus spears. I asked the bartender where is the pasta. She responded that it no longer comes with pasta and that I could order some at an additional charge. It was at that moment that I knew I would never return again. Never in my entire life have I ever ordered Chicken Parm at an Italian Restaurant and not have it come with pasta. That is like ordering a hamburger and it doesn't come with a bun. Then they tell you that you are more than welcome to order a bun at an additional cost. It was like the ultimate slap in the face. I understand that businesses are under financial pressure in these tough times. I can assure you though that this restaurant does not suffer from this fate. There is simply zero excuse for this type of behavior from ownership. Their meals are already priced near the top of the market here in Scottsdale, and rightfully so as their food is top tier. But to raise prices and then remove a staple item off of the menu is asinine. Again, I really do not like writing negative reviews for businesses because I am a fellow business owner as well. However the consumer in me cannot stand for this type of treachery. I am sick and tired of paying more and getting less. This is not meant to deter others from experiencing this place. It is meant to let management that loyal customers are dissatisfied with their business practices. Finally, I am not a cheapskate either. I always tip at least 30% which is way above the average. I am not tone-deaf, I sympathize with restaurant staff and wage gaps so every little bit helps in the service industry.

That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. You know how you go to a hamburger joint and what you're served looks nothing like the photos of their menu? Go to CiBO's web site and look at their menu: What you see in their photos is what you get. One visit and next time you look at their menu online, you'll salivate. Yes, the food is that good. I ordered the calzone. Delicious. Getting through it wasn't pretty... but it was excellent. Huge, very generous entree. Excellent flavors. Our server was delightful, attentive without being a nuisance. Our water glasses never reached empty, and the stories about the birthday boy (and others) were never interrupted. We never made it to desserts. Too much food and amusing stories. CiBO: È andata benissimo, brava.

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
