Clearly the best pizza in Tucson, and the "small" garden salads we ordered were huge! We had their Barro Special pizza with green pepper, ham, pepperoni, onion and mushrooms. With the salads the 12 inch served two of us and we took two slices home. I took off one star because it was cold! 70-degree day outside and felt fine when we entered. But when we got seated the ceiling air conditioner blowers kicked in and chilled us and, ultimately, chilled down our pizza. Kept going in and off while we ate, which was annoying. We went for lunch and took advantage of super cheap lunch menu. $3.50 for lunch - a slice, salad, and a drink!! It's a pretty cool spot with TV's, and they serve beer and wine. Pizza was good for the price, pepperoni was perfectly crisp, and so was the salad - the salad was big enough for 2. They also serve wings and sandwich's - they just aren't part of the lunch specials. Service was great. The menu was explained to us, and they came back to take our plates and tell us a bit about the place. They're a chain from Phoenix. Barro's Pizza never disappoints! This is now the only place we go to for pizza. They have tons of toppings and it's easy to customize any pizza. They are always polite and super fast. The inside is always clean. They had a little area for the kids. It's very nice, especially when you want to eat pizza and have conversation while the little ones are busy at play. I recommend trying any pizza with the white sauce. We have ordered many different pizzas and we like them all. Sometimes it makes.it difficult to decide but at least you know you won't be let down. Tried Barros yesterday for the first time ever! Won't be the last it was great. Now I got three slices and a drink for lunch special. It was roughly $10 and a great deal. Slices are big and honestly the two slice option would have been plenty. While I was there I got to see the salads being served and I wish I would have took pictures. Salads looked amazing next time I will try the pizza and salad option for lunch. I had mega meat, pepperoni and sausage slices of pizza. I heard the cashier's giving out LEO discounts for lunch that is awesome!! Will def be back. I will get pictures next time. read more

Ordered carryout a couple of times from Barro's and was very happy with it both times. I've had the Barro's Special pizza and a pizza with sausage. It was my very first time going to this pizza place, I had placed an online order and when I went to pick it up they told me it would be out in a minute. I waited for 30, which I didn't mind I used to work for a pizza shop before. The manger working on Tuesday night 9/11/2023 felt bad for the wait and gave me half off my order and a free drink! Not a fan! The wings were missing any sauce and lots of burned pieces then the celery was bendable from being old. The pizza is way thick but I guess some people like a thick dough. Lots of olives for toppings but I just felt it lacked flavor. There are other pizza places that I will go to before this place for take out. I did not eat there but the atmosphere looked relaxed. We are Barros Pizza fans. Have done many pickups during covid and used to dine in regularly. It's great pizza and reasonably priced. Dining in get a pitcher of beer and an XL pizza for leftovers. It's affordable to add toppings, and they don't skimp on the toppings. I'd say the thin crust is more like regular but if you love cheesy pizza Barros is a score. We took a Barros pizza (requested double cut) to a party and everyone asked who-where, and it disappeared. Have not tried other menu items so far. read more

Someone brought a whole pizza into the office and I was not impressed. Went there with my wife and I thought the slice was good. Wings are decent. A little on the scrawny side, but hot and crisp if you eat there. They have a decent number of flavor options. They also have wine and some decent tap beers selections. They have done a great job with the space. It's clean, inviting and there's lots of it. They do have gluten free pizza crust and gluten free bread for their sandwiches. Have not tried the sandwiches yet, but a buddy, whose palate I trust, says they pass the eye test, but end up being a lot of bread. I can throw a rock from where I work and hit this place (don't worry I won't do that - it's a figure of speech people) so I'm likely to visit again... soon. read more

Holy lunch specials! You can get a slice of pizza, a salad and a drink for like $4! How is that possible? Sure, its not the fanciest salad but it was good for what you pay for. And the pizza was good, I ordered a pepperoni slice and it was hot, the cheese was gooey and delicious. It wasn't as busy as I'd expect it to be at lunch, probably because this place hasn't caught on yet. But they had plenty of seating, the place is huge and nice comfy booths. Tried Barro's Pizza for the first time. Great location right next to Bisbee Breakfast Restaurant. Has decent parking and music inside is not overwhelmingly loud. Place was clean and spacious on the inside. Has a little children's spot with a couple arcade games, tv and little tables and chairs on one side of the sit down areas. That's a plus for families. There's a bunch of pictures of Chicago so I'm guessing this place originated there? We heard Chicago pizza was supposed to be good pizza. Staff: Mediocre; wasn't welcoming but also wasn't rude. Just, mediocre. Prices: decent. They have lunch specials until 3pm. We tried 2 of their lunch specials; 2 slices of pizza with salad and drink for about $6-$7. The other one was one slice with salad and drink for about $4-$5. Pizza was mediocre. In our opinion, it was too doughy and dough was a bit tough. Just your average pizza. Salad was just iceberg lettuce with slices of tomatoes, pizza cheese (the shredded cheese that they throw on a pizza) and some croutons. Comes with dressing of your choice but definitely did not like it. If we come back we will prob try their subs. Don't think I'd come back though. Today was Barro's grand opening. I love Pizza and I had been eyeing the building for a while so when I saw the "We are open" sign outside, I changed my dinner plans. This place is big with roomy booth's, 40 inch TV's and a fresh paint smell. The staff seem nice, the price is fairly decent and the pepperoni pizza is a salty lover's paradise. It's extremely salty to the point that I had to remove some of the pepperoni's, but the overall taste is good and fresh. The dough is soft and doughy but not necessarily in a bad way. The sauce is light and good, I think my favorite part was the cheese. They have lunch specials so I know I'll be back, but I'll probably only get a cheese pizza. read more

Our new favorite pizza place! The place is large, clean and has an amazing kids area in the back corner (you can sit on the other side and not be bothered if you prefer). The girl working the front counter was very friendly and helpful. I got a lunch special- 2 pieces of pizza, and side salad and a drink for $6.50! All of these items are ready immediately which was great since I shared with my toddler. Pepperoni and sausage pizza were both good. Ranch that I got with my salad was great too. My husband ordered the small hot wing pizza (their version of a buffalo chicken). For a small, it was still a good size & delicious. Cherry on top was enjoying a meal while our toddler sat at a kids table next to us watching Disney Jr & then playing when she was done eating. They also offer military discount which is always appreciated. We can't wait to come back. Thinking this is a great place for my mommy group to have lunch soon! Thick bread crust with flavorless toppings in a self serve environment! Toss your own Cesar salad is BS too! Rather go to Pizza Hut. The crust was thick and soft and there was just the right amount of cheese. The salad was definitely bigger than I expected. I was figuring it'd be some toss in side salad or something but it was a full sized garden salad. That was nice. I tried the agave vanilla cream soda at the fountain was it was delicious. Used to love your breadsticks with cheese. 6/29 ordered and they were awful...dry with very little cheese...much less than picture on this website or any other visit I've ever had including phx loc. complained to manager sending 1/2 back. Saturday was our first time in. Very spacious and clean. Our cashier as well as the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a little glich while taking our order the system shut down in the middle of our transaction. We found out after my girlfriend noticed a gentleman that came in after us, had received his to go order an hour's hadn't come up yet. I went up to the counter to inquire if I order had actually gone through oh, it had not but they got on it immediately and got it out to us as fast as possible. They were very gracious and upsized our meal to which we had not asked for. This was once THE best pizza in Tucson. The "Mega Meat" was ONCE THE best meat pizza as it had so much meat topping that included both crumbled and sliced sausage and had plenty of every other meat. The pizza stood apart from all others. Sadly, the economy has now come to Barro's and that Mega Meat is now a mini meat pizza. So sad, they had a winner and just started putting nearly half as less meat topping on top. If you ask a restaurant associate, they will say, "Oh, its just the person making it today". They won't admit they no longer Mega Meat that pizza. Here's a suggestion.......why don't you offer the 'original' true Mega Meat for those of us who are willing to pay an extra charge. Call it whatever you like, but, don't continue to call this mini-meat, "Mega Meat". Bring it back! read more

I stopped by last night after a movie at the mall, and I ordered a small pizza with Italian sausage and onions. I was really hung whe I saw the box I thought I might've gone too small; when I actually picked it up, I was surprised at how heavy it was. The pizza was excellent. The crust was light and the sauce was very tasty. My only observation is that it could've benefited from a little more onion.
