Great service, ambiance and delicious pizza. We ordered the butternut salad and it was really good!

We tried some of the more interesting dishes which combine some surprising ingredients in pizza, pasta and salad. Salad- was delicious, a good portion and fresh Pizza- we chose the pizza with figs. The Brussels sprouts were intriguing to us and were not bad. However I think adding mushrooms to this would have added some more umami flavor to contrast the very sweet sauce and flavors. Pasta- delicious and fresh. Really yummy and well balanced flavors Ambiance- cozy and small. Definitely get here early to avoid a wait

We finally got back to Falora again on Saturday and had such a great dinner. There were four of us and we had two orders of their delicious freshly baked bread, two salads and three pizzas along with some Aperol Splitzers. I don't think you could be disappointed with anything you might order, but we have found our favorites over the years. We love the butter lettuce salad and the kale salad. As far as pizza, the Margherita, the San Genaro and the Fauxrizo are fantastic! Falora is a comfortable, cute little place and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it!

Adore this restaurant! I wanted to treat myself to an early dinner and decided to stop here after it popped up on my Instagram. The dining area inside is small so if you want a take inside, get there early. I loved all the windows (perfect for those evening sunsets) brick walls and the visual of the wood fired oven. I ordered the focaccia bread, butter pecan salad and sorta torta for dessert; the entire meal was delicious. Between the ambience, food and service, Falora is top tier.

I ordered a pizza from here while I was inside of the bar, sidecar, I got the Bianca pizza and added pepperoni. It was very good, even the crust was yummy. They are 12 inch pizzas so not too big. Definitely would get it again if I'm back at sidecar

After hearing some good things about Falora from a friend we decided to give this place a try. We walked up and after a bit we were greeted and asked if we have a reservation, we did not but there seemed to be plenty of tables available. After about 10 minutes we were seated. The restaurant was nice they're really trying to make it seem high end but still casual. There was a bottle of water and some olives waiting on the table. We were greeted by the server and after looking over the menu we ordered. My daughter got the margherita pizza. My wife and I split the cavatelli and the el fauxrizo pizza. After a bit the food came out, the cavatelli was pretty good but only slightly larger than an appetizer, my daughter's pizza looked great and she enjoyed it. The pizzas were much smaller than I had expected and on paper thin crust which tastes great but was not super filling. The fauxrizo pizza had a tasty green sauce on top but otherwise had very little toppings. There was maybe a single piece or maybe two of chorizo per slice and a sprinkle of beans. I guess there was corn but it was hard to tell because there was so little of it. I know some people like a pizza without very many toppings, but I myself really prefer a pizza with more toppings on it. Overall it was a decent dinner and the service was friendly but I left wishing I had ordered another entrée because I was still rather hungry when I got home.

Not impressed. The place inside is TINY so a reservation is a must. Just send them an email on their website. All of the wood around the restaurant they use for the pizza oven is a nice touch. Service was great and the pizza came out super fast. We shared the Giardino pizza but unfortunately it severely lacked flavor. The crust was perfect but it was just crust, cheese, and vegetables. No garlic or seasoning of any kind. The vegetables were sparse. The chili oil added zero flavor and wasn't even hot. I asked for a side of parm, which is about a tablespoon and they charged extra for it without warning. This helped add flavor plus covering the pizza in chili flakes. I'm glad I finally tried this place but I don't plan on returning.

Great pizza option in Tucson, thin crust with just the right amount of char ---Margherita pizza: simple but when this is done right you know they know what they're doing ---za zucca: interesting but I always prefer the red sauce pies The place is small so I'd recommend reservations if you can!

This cute pizzeria is located in a shopping center on Broadway and Country Club. The Italian inspired atmosphere passes was the cutest place for a girls night. Service was fast and friendly. They were knowable about their items on the menu and gave suggestions. I ordered the Butter Pecan Salad- so fresh and delicious! We also had the Cura (pepperoni pizza) and the Panna Cotta. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We'll definitely be back!

We shared a Margherita and a pepperoni pizza. They were both good solid wood fired pizzas. We also had the Cavatelli, I was not a big fan, the noodles were so thick that it dominated any other flavors. The service was great and restaurant was beautiful.

Salads are delicious! No seating inside but the outside seating despite the fact that it's on broadway wasn't too bad. The freshly baked bread and spread was great and The Kale salad was very tasty with some unique flavors that reminded me of being in the forest. Great friendly service and everything was reasonably priced.

Falora is a charming little Italian spot with very good pizza and a solid set of vegan options and substitutions. First things first: we're bread fiends, and their bread was GREAT. It came out so hot I almost burned my fingers on it, and was absolutely delicious -- especially when dipped in balsamic and olive oil. 10/10, no notes. Will absolutely order again! For pizzas, we got the Arrosto (a sauceless pizza with feta, eggplant, yukon gold potatoes, dates, and white truffle oil) and a Marinara pizza with added vegan mozzarella and vegan chorizo. While I really enjoyed the flavors of the Arrosto, particularly the salty-sweet-earthy play between the dates, feta, and potatoes, it was a little on the dry side. We were really happy to have flexibility of so many vegan options, and plan to go back and try more pizzas and salads! One note: it got LOUD over the course of the evening. When we first arrived, it was lively but quiet enough to easily chat. Over the course of our meal, it ended up getting so loud that we actually gave up trying to talk because we couldn't hear each other at all. It might be worth trying to go at less busy times if you're sensitive to noise or just prefer a quieter atmosphere.

    Hazelnut gnocchi. Vegan and delicious!

The estimated wait for two was 10 minutes so we grabbed drinks and headed upstairs to their cute/loft lounge. As we passed the entrance we already heard the host increasing wait time to 20 minutes. For drinks she had got the house red cabernet and for me the bartender and I whipped up a little custom cocktail (see pic). Moments later our table was ready. Note: Penelope operates on a novel "community-waiter" system so don't be confused if a totally different person comes by to: take appetizers, check on you, order entrees, check on you again, and order dessert! We've often had four different staff during a meal here and all are super friendly with experience-filled opinions about everything on the menu. We ordered the Burrata and Tomatoes app which arrived in barely 5 minutes - the cheese is traditionally mozzarella-like but here it was almost ricotta-soft... and melded deliciously with the mildly acidic slices of ripe tomato and lots of pistachio pesto (nice twist chef!). We split the Sgt Pepper pizza this time, craving both sausage and roasted chilis. It arrived in 15 minutes with ample sausage and just a few burnt bubbles (totally ok because we know these thin-crusts must be flash broiled at super high temps (around 1k degrees). We demolished the 'za but both of us would like to have seen a bit more green chili. We were looking forward to the olive oil cake however, at 7pm, they had just sold the last slice (confirmed by our "second dessert waiter" who wandered by a few minutes later ;) Atmosphere is casual-elevated and sound levels aren't bad despite the density of tables - likely due to the 20 foot tall ceilings. Parking is free/easy in their private lot and it appears they do a popular takeout business too. We are both looking forward to their return to downtown this fall with Penelope's II !

We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside.

We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.

Roughly 2 dozen toppings are available, ranging from $3-$8+. I opted for the meatballs ($8.50) and was slightly disappointed. The meatballs are crumbled within the calzone (understandable) but not pronounced in quantity. The murals on the walls are super cool too. I loved how they had hand sanitizer at the table. Seating is pretty limited, so I'd definitely make a reservation. Service was great and everything tasted super fresh. We ordered the Meatballs & Jalapeño Cream, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Garlic Knots, Papas con Queso Pizza, Penne Arrabbiata, and Tiramisu. Everything was amazing but my favorites had to be the meatballs and the pizza. Only downside was that they were out of lemonade, which I really wanted to try. But the food was so good that I'lol for sure be back, so I'll just grab it next time.

I went here on a Saturday for…read morelunch and despite the summer heat the patio was shaded and breezy thanks to some overhead water misters. The kitsch level is high but so is the quality. You order at the window and it seems like they bake it fresh. We waited maybe 15 minutes for hot out the oven pizzas. I was so impressed with the quality ingredients and the sizes of the slices! They're not lying about the size. These are GIANT slices. Just 1 slice is enough for an adult or teen. My littlest needed to break it into two meals.

Went here Friday night and was excited as I had never noticed this place before. As my husband and…read moreI walked up, we walked inside a small seating area, then came back out to the bar area, looking for where we should order or get menus. After a bit, a customer at the bar greeted us and gave us a tip on how big the slices of pizza were. Soon after, we realized where the menus were, followed by a server at the bar greeting us and giving us information. I was glad for his help, but there was a good whike in between that I feel was a little weird and lacking of service. They have a small indoor seating area where you can also get fountain drinks, as well as an outside covered patio that has a couple ceiling heaters throughout . You order at a window near the bar, then seat yourself. Your food is done brought to you. We attempted to order a couple slices of the specialty pizza, only to be told that the specialty pizzas could only be ordered as a whole pie. So we ordered a 12 inch pizza half company combo and half carnivore. We also got an order of the sweet chili wings . The sweet chili wings were cool, not bad, but also nothing to brag about. The pizza I was actually disappointed in... it reminded me of pizza from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. It was thin and had a crunch at the bottom. I will say that I like my pizza dough, thicker, so that probably affected my opinion of their pizza as well. Glad I tried it, but don't think I will be back.

So many things to love, including that it endeavors to remain quirkily undiscovered. There is no…read morevisible signage so you'll need to deliberately be told to seek this place out (awesome)... and it's worth it. Because of it's tiny venue and big reputation you will likely never walk in and get seated right away. Never. Fear not, they do a brisk take-out business but you must walk around the corner (20 steps) to their side window where pickup orders are placed. Bonus: Crooked Tooth Brewery (a cool industrial bar) is directly across the alley and you are allowed to bring your pizza and eat it there. We were catching a play at the Rogue and sought something within walking distance, hello Anello! With their rotating, locally-sourced menu, we ordered what was new: seasonal roasted veggies ($11) - incredible; coupled with our fav Verde pizza ($17) + pepperoni ($4). And two Old Fashionables ($13) - strong, delicious, and not too sweet. We split their one-size pizza (roughly 12" medium) in order to save room for their famous, rotating desserts. Their 'zas are super thin crust and really need to be eaten straight from the oven so that the bottom never has a chance to get soggy. The pesto/parsley puree was divine and a nice change from traditional marinera. It paired nicely with the savory/plentiful mini pepperonis too. We were torn between the olive oil cake and the blue corn lemon tart... so we got both! ($9 each). An excellent call as we carefully paced our way through, one slow bite at a time. Service was outstanding and we never felt rushed. This is a small, local, eatery with a blooming reputation for both quality and creativity that honestly deserves Bib Gourmand consideration - although I would rather it remain off the grid! Parking can be a challenge, especially evenings when both Anello and Crooked Tooth are hopping but it's a short walk from the trolly too. FYI, they are closed Sun/Mon.

Clearly Anello has taken the crown for the best pizza in Tucson. They are hard to find (no…read moresignage) and have a limited menu, but what they do, they do extremely well. This is not the kind of pizza you want to carry out. The bottom crust is so thin and delicate, it will wet out in 15 minutes. This is pizza you order and eat on-premises immediately. I ate my pizza in a fashion I have never done before - I broke off a piece of the outside crust to use as a carrier for a piece of filling. This worked well. The crust is perfectly light and airy. Next time I have to try a loaf of their bread - it looked incredible. If you are a pizza purist you will love this place.
