What is most upsetting is that I was told my teeth looked nice, yet the dentist failed to fully address the concern I brought up. Now I am being told I need a deep cleaning, just as they have claimed in the past, while my insurance has questioned and denied it because the documentation does not support that need. I know my dental history, and I know the difference between needing routine care and being pushed toward treatment that does not match my actual condition. I even referred my coworkers to this office because I believed in the care I had received in the past. When one coworker mentioned that she also did not feel she received a proper cleaning, I chose to give this office the benefit of the doubt because I had never personally experienced an issue before. Unfortunately, after today's appointment, I can no longer say the same. I contacted the office immediately to explain my concerns. Not only was my issue not resolved, but I did not receive a call back, an apology, or even an offer to bring me back in and correct the problem. That is unacceptable and not the level of service expected from a professional healthcare office. I am requesting that this matter be properly addressed and that I receive the service I paid for. They're dishonest and look for things you don't have in order to charge you exorbitant prices. I came here to get my teeth treated. The dentist seemed hesitant in his diagnosis, and the hygienist was even worse. I don't have the best teeth, but I do maintain good daily hygiene. The hygienist recommended a deep cleaning because I had tartar and plaque. The cleaning cost $795. Then the supposed budget coordinator arrived, and the treatment for my teeth would cost $12,185. At another place in the same area, the treatment would have cost me $5,533. Even so, I paid half the cleaning, $395, to start, and they only cleaned half of my mouth, on the right side, both upper and lower. During the week, I got two second opinions from other dentists and called dental insurance companies and plans. The result: I have no plaque, no tartar, and a cleaning wasn't necessary right now. I had a broken tooth, and these dishonest people at Gentle Dental wanted to put a crown on me for $3,050. The other two dentists recommended the following: you have 70% of your tooth still good; it's best to preserve it by getting a filling that, with care, will last and keep part of your natural tooth. Think a thousand times before going to Gentle Dental. I recommend Corbin Dental Bayside. Dr. Lublin got into an accident and they suddenly became impossible to get in contact with. I paid over $9000 for dental work that is now unfinished and they are not contacting me to let me know what is what. I have called, left voicemails, emailed them, and actually gone to the office only to find the gate down. I was supposed to have a cleaning done today. However, as you can see from the picture below, the gate is down. According to their informational voice message to their patients, the office was supposed to re-open for business on August 1st. Today is the 24th. I can understand if Dr. Lublin is still hurt and cannot perform his duties, but what I do NOT understand is no one responding or giving any information to the patients. They don't even have a sign on the gate! I actually like Dr. Lublin and wish him well. I don't know whose fault this all is, but at this point it doesn't matter and this is just plain old bad business. If they rectify this by doing better at communicating and getting a dentist to cover Dr. Lublin so that his patients' dental work can be completed, then at that point, I will change my rating.
