Then they took camera photos claiming they have to even tho I wanted just the cleaning and restate that multiple times. After that they came back and wanting to do just a few x rays. Ok, I suppose I should have been more firm. It did look like they just wanted an extra $$. That was the first red flag. They suggested deep cleaning - sure, even tho that was questionable. The first appointment was uncomfortable and painful on many levels. Injections were the most painful ones I've ever gotten. Treatment was rushed - under 25mins. Water was spraying everywhere. Cleaning itself was quite painful despite numerous anesthetic injections. My neck was in pain afterwards. I mean just horrible experience. I told S, she's not doing any of that again. She started giving excuses - I'm not interested in empty excuses. I told her I'll reschedule with someone else for the left side - after that I'm done with this office. Oh did I mention reggaeton and r&b music was blasting loudly all this time. Seriously?!

I looked around everywhere and was able to come in! What a relief! Dr.Garemani, was so gentle, polite and knowledgeable! I mentioned I was scared of dentists, and she kindly took her time and explained with every detail what she was doing. This helped me to relax and avoid being tense. I took a few X-rays and this was the first time it was not painful. Dr.Garemani was so efficient to fix my hurting tooth and just in time before my flight! Dr. Gonzalez sat with us and explained how to ensure our continued good health and what we needed to do and not do on a daily basis. One of the most thorough and informative experiences I have ever had at a medical appointment. The office is in a lovely old NY building and the office is so beautiful and intimate and wonderfully decorated. It is cozy and comfortable. But when I changed my insurance and Dr. Flamm wasn't covered anymore, I still came back here to have a root canal done and paid out of pocket because I knew he wouldn't screw it up, it was worth the peace of mind.

I had a traumatic experience 4 years ago that has not just affected my life but my ability to bring myself to a dentist. So recently a crown broke and I had to find a dentist.... a really good one.... I did my homework and came up with a few in NYC... By fate or luck I ended up in Dr. Tetri chair. He is really really good at what he does...but for me it was refreshing to not be forced or pushed to do more than what was needed.... I mean if you want the works there probably is no better place to get it I have studied the photos he is the best in town...... and someday I may want that but for now I just want a dentist that is great at what he does and loves what he does, a trustworthy Dr. So far that is what I have found... I've never had to wait longer than five minutes for my appointment. scheduling is really easy, and the give great reminders in advance. They had great protective gear during the pandemic, and took the extra effort to keep patient safe. I doing as much research as possible, given a very unknown disease. Dr. Vincent actually went and took the extra effort to get an additional suction and vacuum unit to keep patients and staff safe. Highly highly recommend.

Some unique aspects of the practice is they offer Saturday hours, which is something I really appreciate. My appointment was with Dr Vincent Calamia whom was very nice and patient with me despite the fact that I act like a big baby at the dentist. My appointment was relatively painless and I am looking forward to coming back for my regular cleanings and check-ups.
