Looking at making an offer on a house and the sellers had Barry (BPG) perform an inspection and there was a lot of stuff that appeared to be missing from the report. He told me he'd come by to do handyman stuff and we discussed details over the phone. Apart from this, I also wanted him to look at a space at home to install cabinets. We had a time and date set up two days from our phone call. The day before, I texted to confirm our appt for the next day and didn't hear back. I left work early and went to my new place but there was no sign of him. I called and no reply. After a half hour, I texted him and he replied saying he was caught up in something else. He then called saying it's only to look at stuff and I'm far away. I told him to come as I had blocked out this time and I was waiting. He was apparently at home and came by 1.5 hours after our scheduled appt with his son!! Did not call or let me know he was going to be late or not come. He just decided not to show up and let it be! When he arrived, he had his son with him and looked at the stuff to fix then said he had no tools! He said they can be done by a local handyman. So, this guy didn't get the information correctly first, second he didn't show up or call to inform me, left me waiting for 1.5 hours and didn't get anything done. This is extremely passive aggressive and irresponsible behavior.! But, I had been trying to get people to come as early as possible and most people were much more responsive but very busy and scheduled far out except Barry!! If this is the way he works, it's easy to see why now! read more
