Roof Express had great reviews and was quick to respond. Unfortunately, that was the end of their good communication. Friday afternoon: Abdul quoted me an appointment window of 3-6pm. At 6pm, when I hadn't heard anything, I texted him, and he said someone on the team had an emergency and he needed to reschedule for Monday. I wish he had let me know proactively, but I understand, given the circumstances. He said he could accommodate my schedule on Monday and would come between 3-4pm. Monday afternoon: 4pm came and went and I didn't hear from Roof Express. At that point, I decided to give up -- but at 5pm, I got a call from a different employee. He didn't apologize for missing the appointment, but instead told me he'd arrive between 6:30 and 7. Monday evening: 7pm came and went, and no one showed up. I compared Roof Express with many other roofing companies and their proposal was the most professional and thorough, including satellite photos and square footage and locations of all vents, etc.. Also, the owner and project manager were very knowledgeable and easy to reach. I am still debating on the top 3 companies to go with since this company was about 15% more expensive than the other quotes, but if you can afford $6K more from a $40K investment, it probably is very well worth it for such a stellar company. I just can't do it at this time with having to pay off some of my Uncle's debtors after he passed, so watching every $1K. I also didn't have the time to do a lot of negotiating, so maybe they would have come down? He said they would consider discounts for a group roofing since my neighbors need to re-roof too.. but I don't have the time now, so will have to book it asap. read more

Unfortunately our experience was not great but worked out in the end. The project manager, Habibi was very friendly and responsive to all our issues. Unfortunately, there were many of them. They delayed our project twice without explanation. The labor team quit mid project. They knocked on our door and said they were quitting bc Express Roofing was not paying them. Then called the police to our home claiming they were unpaid. Despite saying they wouldn't, both teams walked and ran on our neighbors roofs which affected our relationship with them. They left a GIANT mess in our front and back yard. Damaged some of the plants in our garden by throwing debris down. They broke our sky light (they did replace it). Then our roof leaked after the first rain less than a week after completion. They left tar stains on our freshly painted white home. We had to call several times for them to fix issues that seemed obvious and should not have required us constantly calling as they came up. I'm grateful that Habibi fixed the above issues but like I said, there were many. I'm hoping there are no more leaks as our rainy season starts. I will update. read more

From our initial contact to when the crew wrapped up, the Roof Express team provided excellent service. They are very professional, diligent, and WELL priced. Our house was newly renovated when we bought it in 2019 but we discovered by 2024 that the roof was very NOT new and that the contractors that renovated our house simply slapped on new shingles on a very old roof. After heavy rains we discovered a small leak in our attic. We worked with Habibi to get an honest assessment. We got assessments from two other roofing companies and Roof Express was the one we wanted to move forward with because we felt we would be in capable hands. Everything was clearly explained to us so we felt reassured at all times about the process and confident in their ability to do the job well, considering it was a major investment. We were impressed by many things like how hard working the crew was, the fact that they completed the job in 3 solid days, and that they arrived on the job on time every day. But we were most impressed with how CLEAN the crew left our premises each day AND they wanted to make sure any debris that fell into our neighbors yards were cleaned up and taken care of. We recently hired Roof Express for our full roof replacement of our existing tar and gravel roof, and we're very happy with the results! From the initial consultation, Nav was on time, respectful, knowledgeable, and strong communicator. Nav provided a clear and fair estimate, and answered our questions. The crew was courteous and kept the worksite clean without damaging our existing landscape (which can be a challenge with all the old gravel from the existing roof. The 3 layer modified bitumen looks great. While we had initially quoted to also replace the 6 downspouts, we went with Nav's recommendation to unclog and keep the existing downspouts to maintain the asthetics as he deemed that they provide adequate drainage. Discovered a leak after a recent storm and needed a roofing specialist to evaluate my roof ASAP. Used Yelp to identify roofing companies and 5 companies responded. Out of all of them, Roof Express was available the same day and was able to come out and inspect my roof. The company is owned by Abosufian Merzayee and I think he previously did alot of roof insulations / attic clean ups. Then he repivoted his company to do roofing and also has a construction license in case add'l work is needed for the home. Nav was patient and explained the cause of my leaks immediately. One of his guys also went into my attic crawlspace and shared a few pictures to indicate where the leak was coming from and confirming it was the area that Nav idnetified on the roof. Nav was thorough and was able to provide me a quote by the end of the day. I wasn't able to check how they compared to other companies but after checking with a few friends who needed minor roof repairs, it seemed like it was about average. He also provided me a full roof repair estimate, which was middle of the pack compared to all the other estimates I received. All in all, I was very happy with their service. Roof Express did a very good job on my home so I wanted them for a second job on an apartment building. They are very efficient and really know their business. They got all the permits and did a very good job. The job turned out to be more extensive due to the very poor condition of the structure under the old roof material but they adapted and charged me a fair price for the additional work. They documented their work with photos that I could pass to my insurance company and met with me personally on the roof for an initial estimate. They completed the job in a very reasonable time and the finished job looks great. I hope I don't need another roof done for a long time because it's an expensive thing no matter who you use. Another roofing company had loosened a skylight on my roof by mistake while fixing a different skylight. I could tell it was drafty in the room with the skylight, but I didn't have a ladder or the expertise to know if something serious was wrong or not. Habibi came and told me he was happy to help me figure it out, no matter whether it was a small or big issue. He went on my roof with me and figured out that there was a control on the skylight that could be tightened, and went up on his ladder from inside the house to tighten it, solving the issue. I offered to pay to make the visit worth his time, but he refused, saying that if I was happy, he was happy.
