Last night I had my Start-up company's 1 year anniversary party at Barsky Gallery and the experience was phenomenal.We were given 7 cocktail tables with black table Cloth and one 8" table where we put the trays of food. We were able to fit approximately 50-70 people Last night and served rose , lemonade, water to the guests and dessert. There were plenty of space to put snacks and beverages.I had 8" back drop where guests took photos and on the photo that's the Mayor of Hoboken Dawn Zimmer who was my guest of honor. Each one of my guests were very impressed by the space and they loved how elegant the gallery set up is. I am definitely booking Barsky Gallery for my future events. Owner of Bucket & Bay surprised me with bringing a Gelato Cart for my guests to enjoy some gourmet Gelato so the Gelato Cart was outside of the Gallery and there were plenty of space there for forming a line and chit chat right outside of the gallery. So if anyone wants to have an ice cream cart or something fun outside of the gallery it could be cool. read more

Perfect place for art lovers, decorators, interior decorators....and possibly a private event. I was lucky enough to visit the gallery during the grand opening and have come back twice since then. On a plus side - great art selection for those like me who are in a process of decorating a house (even my highly critical interior decorator has approved!). After speaking to the owner, I found out that the art could also be rented (ex: for corporate parties). One artist does art on granite (think of the unique end table) which makes an absolutely unique furniture piece and a topic of any party. On a minus side - there is a lot of buzz about this new gallery, and my favorite piece is not there anymore - someone must have purchased it. read more

Five Stars just doesn't seem like enough...we had my sister's Baby Shower at Barsky Gallery with about 40 friends and family. We mixed up the tables, some traditional and some high tops to give it a more free flowing, cocktail party type feel. Everyone was raving about the Gallery Shower!!! It was perfect in every way and I couldn't have pulled it off without Al's help. I live out of state and didn't actually meet Al until the week before, but we spoke or emailed often and he was so responsive to all my crazy questions. He helped give advice and recommendations beforehand and peeked in during the event to make sure it all ran smooth. As a wedding, event and party planner, we're constantly looking for venues that produce a WOW Factor! Well in my quest to finding the right venue, I ran across Barsky Gallery and it met all the specifications given by my client Alex for his 30th Birthday Celebration! My client and I were graciously received by the owner (Al Barsky) who extended himself far beyond our expectations and the call of duty. The atmosphere was cozy with great visual ambience and lends itself for a gathering of mature individual to come and feel a warm presence. I held my aunt's baby shower here in December. I was able to come and view the gallery in advance, and was also given advice about furniture rentals and catering. Al was very helpful and kept me updated about anything to do with my event. The venue is beautiful and was the perfect space for our shower. We had about 25 people at our party and everyone fit comfortably and also was able to have a place to eat. The serving tables worked out great and Al made sure that the venue was clean for the entire length of the event. He even helped some of my family members carry in food. We also rented the furniture that Al recommended and it worked out perfectly. read more

I held my sister's baby shower here in October. The space is absolutely beautiful and the service is top notch. Al, the owner was very accommodating from start to finish. He is very thorough and helpful in providing vendors for furniture rental and food catering. He helped with the décor/setup and even managed the music for me when I was playing babyshower games. The guests are still raving about the venue and turnout. Al also provided an ample amount of parking space to my party across the street, free of charge. We had our wedding after-party at Barsky Gallery in October and it was absolutely perfect! The entire day went very smoothly and everyone commented on how wonderful the venue was for the event. Albert was a huge help and even went out of his way to lend us some last minute items that happened to be missing on our end. He was extremely accommodating and responsive throughout the planning process. I would recommend having any type of event here from a sit-down dinner to a cocktail style reception to a birthday or shower. Excellent venue for a special event. Elegant, professional, and easy flow for guests to go about. Al is an excellent host. He will assist with any rentals needed, audio visual, chairs etc.... I just helped plan and execute my friends wedding reception at The Barsky Gallery. The beautiful artwork on display makes it unnecessary to decorate. We had about 75-80 guests and it was still very comfortable to move around. There was plenty of parking available across the street. I can't say enough good things about Barsky Gallery. I recently threw a surprise 30th B-day Party for my fiance (turned into a engagement-party as well). We had a cocktail style party with about 45 people. Al set up the rentals and and 2 bartenders I hired and the party went off without a hitch. Al was great to work with, venue speaks for itself. If you haven't been there you should check it out. I recently gave my boyfriend a cocktail party at the Barsky Gallery and I must say it was perfect! I invited about 60-70 guest which was just right for the space. The gallery gave the party the cool modern artsy feel I was looking for which impressed my guest. Al, the owner was very hospitable ensuring the night was a success. We recently had a party at the Barsky Gallery and the space was great. We had about 40 people and had catered hors d'oeuvres and wine and beer. It was a great space for the amount of people and the artwork made the room. Al was very accommodating and did not interfere with the party. Barsky Gallery is a promising new art venue in Hoboken! It has a modern, industrial feel to it because of its location, but the display design expresses a surprising warmth. I enjoyed the wide variety of art that was being shown when I visited: a lot of abstract and commercial pieces, but also some concrete illustrations and sculptures. I look forward to my next visit, and to the growth of this gallery. read more
