I don't often go to old town, but Barstool Scottsdale is the official venue for the University of Michigan Alumni Club, Phoenix's football watch parties. Which is no surprise because Dave Portoroy, the owner of Barstool, is a Michigan grad. I've checked out this sports bar twice, both on football Saturdays. With it being old town, parking isn't easy, but I've been able to find street parking both times a few minutes away by foot. Ambiance (4/5): Pretty awesome for a sports bar. There are a ton of TVs, which is number one for a sports bar. They play the sound during MIchigan games, which is very important. There's both a downstairs and upstairs area, both with their own bars. As well as a patio in the front. There are booths, high top seating, bar seating, and VIP areas. Despite the size of the bar, it gets packed which takes away from the experience for me. And at night, they have a DJ and they start blasting music, so the vibe changes. Service (3.5/5): For the watch parties, we have had our own waitress. She has done a good job both times taking care of a large group, which isn't easy. Outside of that, it can take a while to get your drink at the bar due to the crowds and not having enough bartenders. And the first time I was there, the upstairs bar wasn't open when the game started, so there were some logistical issues there. Food (3.5/5): Pretty solid for bar food. I've had the mozzarella sticks, giant pretzel, and the chips and three dips. The portion sizes for all three of the appetizers were generous, especially the latter two. The giant pretzel definitely lives up to the namesake. Good food to munch on as you're watching the game. Drinks (3.5/5): Barstool has a full bar so pretty much what you would expect at a sports bar: a decent list of cocktails, beer, seltzers, and wine. What stands out to me is their group drinks. I've done the giant margarita (for two people) and the giant Moscow mule (for two people). Beyond the presentation (huge glasses/mugs) that make an impression, it's always fun to do a group drink. The drinks are a little overpriced, but it is Old Town. If you're wanting to watch the game, Barstool Scottsdale makes for a solid choice. Go blue!

BARSTOOL REVIEW ***HALLOWEEN EDITION*** Absolutely do Halloween at Barstool with your friends. At least once. DJs were fire and so is the view from the top. Do or do not order a kamikaze, but expect a line at the door, queens. It's all part of the experience!

I was at Barstool Scottsdale during the NCAA tournament. We were looking for a place to watch the games and this certainly fit the bill. Seating is a challenge because the majority of booths are probably for bottle service or have a table minimum. We were able to get seating along the rail upstairs which was fine. Waitress still stopped by occasionally to check on us. I had a few IPAs (Church Music). They were cold. I didn't eat. This is a fun place to watch a sporting event but it is fairly generic. Probably won't have a bad time here but I imagine it is all based on your group.

The atmosphere is great and the drinks are reasonably priced. The food is average bar food. Maybe the burgers are a good bet. The turkey sandwich & egg sandwich were a bust. The service was great! I would have to give a suggestion: wipe down the menus! I felt I needed hand sanitizer after touching it.

Very energetic place in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Service was solid, food was very good. Specifically, the Turkey Avocado Club sandwich was my favorite. Highly recommend the pesto aioli. Seating is a bit odd and hard to gather with everyone. There are many places in Scottsdale that I'd like to try, but will be back sometime soon to try other menu items.

My wife and I came to Barstool Sports Scottsdale to watch March Madness games here and this place is a vibe! Service here is outstanding, and Taylor our bartender was very kind and sweet and gave us solid food/drinks recommendations. This place definitely has all that you need when it comes to a sports bar: food/drinks, atmosphere, tons of TV, DJ, and more importantly ... friendly staff! We are Scottsdale locals and will definitely be coming back here!

If you're looking for a good vibe on a weekend night or a chill place to watch football during the day, barstools the spot. Food is nothing to write home about but it is decent. Service is always great. Jaylen is probably the best bartender in AZ, and Taylor is really great too. Love coming here.

This place is awesome and the and the bartenders are friendly and helpful here. The nachos and quesadillas were delicious and so were the drinks. The atmosphere of this bar was cool. It was crowded when we came for my sister's 30th Birthday

Barstool is amazing for events and watching March madness! Kaylee was an incredible waitress. We appreciate the service! The egg rolls are AMAZING and a must get. Service, ambiance, and food were great! Good vibes all around :)

Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.

Here are a few of my reasons... Restaurants don't survive if you're not crushing it with food and service. In a part of town where most places don't last more than a few years, Social Tap has been doing it for over 10. Not only is the food good for "bar food," but they also bring lots of it. To wash it down, they have a legit beer menu. But what's good food if it's not served well? I've found the staff very welcoming. From the hostesses to the servers and bartenders to barbacks, they genuinely make Social Tap feel like a community. The staff is never too busy to make sure you're taken care of and to ask how you're doing. For those who like to watch their favorite out-of-town team, like me (Go Cubs Go!), they're very open to changing up the channels for you. It's a small thing and takes little effort, but it makes it feel like you're more than just a "local." Inside or outside, upstairs or downstairs, Social Tap (and the Balcony Bar up top) is a great place to watch some sports ball, chat with friendly staff, and unwind in Old Town Scottsdale. It's the ideal place to "hang out" from early afternoon until the crazy nightlife begins to take over. If you stop by and see someone sitting at the end of the bar when you walk in, hanging on every pitch when the Cubbies are on, that's probably me. Say, "Hey," and let's chat.

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

The staff were very friendly and explained they had to open the wine bottle and make the first pour which was fine with me. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink. While I am being a little critical, Pour Decisions has its purpose. If you're looking for a spot to hang out in a big group, Pour Decisions is solid given how large of a space it is.
