Calexico Chicken Sandwich and house made applesauce
    Marc L.

Stopped in here on our way to a Giants Spring Training game on a Sunday. Went in like 5 minutes after they opened and it filled up quickly. Waiter was REALLY friendly. My Soda was never empty. So really good service. Had the Club Sandwich, which was excellent. The Onion Rings were crispy and the onions were fresh (not mushy). My wife's in house made applesauce was the highlight. Almost like eating a Dessert. It's a small place and filled up fast. But definitely will try to come back next time I am in town.

My meal at Karsen's Grill was great. My dad and I ordered a burger and chicken sandwich to share, and both were very juicy and tasted delicious. The fries were also yummy and the portion was very generous. The place itself is a small sports bar with very few tables, but it feels very cozy and has a nice vibe to it. The servers are absolutely lovely - they were so friendly and helpful and made the experience even better. I enjoyed my experience here!

Karsen's Grill is a quaint local bar with good food by the SFG's Spring training ballpark in AZ. Their burgers looked great but we opted for shrimp tacos and a sandwich dip. Both were good, but nothing exceptional. Good choice after any ballgame.

Talk about a little local gem. MichaelAnn is running that place. I don't think there was one person that walked in that she didn't know. She made great dirty martinis and was so funny. The place it's self was so small but in all the right way. The hallway to the bathroom is decked out in classic memes The food was decent! Hard to judge being an East coast foodie in the desert

Friday grilled fish taco special and delicious rings

We had lunch here. It's small so we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly. We ordered their Friday taco special and chicken fingers. We found out that the chicken fingers aren't available when the Friday fish special is. So I ordered the club sandwich with french fries. The good news is that their onion rings are excellent as is the club sandwich. But the grilled fish tacos were sorely lacking in fish and the fries were super salty. And it was in excess of $40 before the tip. Seems high to us for the quality of the food.

I came here on a whim and had the MOST fun!! The bartenders are hilarious and very interactive and the guests are so nice too!!! The chicken tenders were to dieeeee for and the buffalo sauce was one of the best I have ever had. They need to bottle it!!!!! this is the best little bar and restaurant in old town!! I will be visiting in the next couple of days to try more menu items!

Great service, atmosphere, and food. Cozy space and worth the wait if they are busy! Check the daily specials! Repeat customer and will certainly be going back!

This is the second time going there and we had to get the S&P wings again, so good!! We tried the queso after seeing it on the table next to us. With a big portion and the house made chips really made the dish. The burger was surprisingly really good to me. I'm not a big mushroom fan, but with them being soaked/marinated in Pinot noir the flavor stood out. Plenty of cheese and a cooked perfectly. I guess I forgot a pic of our drinks but the Tradition marg (3oz pour) is a really good if you like em tequila forward. She got the Prickly pair marg, also very good. There is a good vibe to the bar with a good, dry sense of humor with creative signs with funny sayings. The bartender Michael Ann is great too!

Food was ok. Service was fine. Ambiance small bar and six tables. Tight fit for groups. Overpriced food and drinks. Everyone's experience is different.

Chicken salad sandwich and onion rings.

I'm a huge fan of chicken salad and this recipe is definitely one of my favorites. I dont know what gives this sandwich a bit of special zing (is it a bit of dill?) but on its toasted sourdough bread it was to die for. Onion rings were a bit well done but still delicious. We also had the chicken Phillie, which was fantastic. Tiny little place with great service and a lot of heart. Oh, and all the tables have purse/bag hooks. Big plus, given how small it is.

Great local bar in downtown Scottsdale. Very friendly staff with a full bar and a good selection of bar salads and sandwiches. I had the chicken salad sandwich with onion rings. Very solid. Not much seating inside and out.

A little extra in the shaker!

So glad we tried this place. Living here and dining in Old Town can be a bitch parking sometime. We got lucky during a weekday and a little past lunchtime. Food was excellent...wants to come back and try other things, the bartender/waitress was easy to talk to and had great recommendations for our first time, adding this joint to our rotation!

    Green Chile cheeseburger
    Damacio U.

If food were a sport, this place would be the undefeated, undisputed champion of the green chile burger division. Picture a hidden gem so dive-ish, it practically wears sunglasses indoors. I've been here several times, and every visit has me convinced they sprinkle some kind of magic into their seasoning. As a native New Mexican, I'm practically a green chile burger snob. But this burger? It was so perfect I almost wrote it a love letter. Juicy, spicy, and grilled to perfection--it checked all the boxes, then went ahead and drew more boxes just so it could check those too. Oh, and the fries? Crispy little pieces of potato heaven. The service? So good, it made me want to invite the staff to Thanksgiving dinner. The vibe? Somewhere between "cool and chill" and "how do they do this magic?" This isn't just a meal--it's an experience. Eat here. Your taste buds will thank you.

Food is good. Very expensive for burgers plus they add a fee for using a credit card. Good food but poor on value.

It's a very not-Scottsdale Scottsdale bar, which is to say that it's down-to-earth, unpretentious and not too pricey. It has an incredibly strong live music program, with music at least once a day and twice on weekends during the summer, and twice daily during high tourist season. I've found that people--regulars and visitors--are friendly and easy to talk to. OTT is closing in this location and will be reopening in the old Back Door space directly behind it. The space will be larger, but I expect the cold drinks, great music and good vibes will transfer well.

However, the walls have a counter with the stools, so you can order food and eat there! It's super crowded all the time (this was our third attempt getting my inside across 2 days), but so worth it! Our drinks were made quickly, but ordering them was a little trickier. They didn't have many people working (2? 3?) so it was easier to order at the bar then flag down a server. With it being a small space, it was would've been nice to order from a server. We had the prickly pear margaritas and the house margarita. While they tasted good, I'm not sure how authentic they were. But they were served icy cold, so can't complain too much! They were also a decent price. We also had their red pork and green pork tamales. The red was my favorite, with a hint of spice and flavorful pork. The green one was good too. We also had their nachos, which were pretty classic and appreciated by the group! Food came out in about 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable too. The best was the live music-- It's free! Lots of country classics. I would arriving around 1/1:15 pm, finding a seat, getting a drink and ordering food, and listening to the well-played tunes. It only has 1 small TV, so I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for a bar/pub to watch sports. Make sure to check out popular, well-known Rusty Spur Saloon for cold margaritas, delicious Mexican food, and dance worthy live music!

Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink.
