Goodwood Tavern is hands down one of the best spots in Scottsdale. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, with an awesome vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and know how to make you feel right at home. The food is absolutely amazing--everything we've tried has been delicious--and the prices are surprisingly reasonable, especially for the quality. The location is perfect, making it an easy place to meet up with friends or spend an evening out. I honestly don't have a single bad thing to say. If you like me and you come from out of town and you can't eat too many foods or at certain restaurants because you're a plant based eater this is the spot. They have a very, very, very delicious plant based chicken sandwich that you will not be disappointed about, it was very good nice and crunchy and it hit the spot. Here around 5 pm on a Saturday. Not a packed house but busy enough to have staff on their toes.This was the 3rd time I've had their Mini Chimis. First 2 times I had it, they were perfect. This time, not so much. But their Blue Cheese & Bacon Guacamole almost made up for it. You don't get alot for what you pay for but it was tasty. Right consistency, bacon & blue cheese, 2 of my faves in a guacamole dip, you can't go wrong. Server that brought out our food was very nice! My friends and I were visiting for the weekend. We stumbled upon Goodwood Tavern because we were bar hopping and decided to check it out. My friends went to the bar and were waiting for someone to get their attention. They mentioned one female bartender that was working, but she didn't seem to notice them or just ignoring them. We concluded that they were being ignored because there was a nice, older gentleman at the bar who was serviced and he ended up buying my friends a drink because he felt bad that they were waiting forever at the bar and no one was helping them. Mind you, my friends were sitting RIGHT next to the man that was helped. For someone else to see that my friends were purposely ignored and he ended up just ordering for them says a lot about their customer service. read more

I didn't expect this treatment is Scottsdale. We spent like 5 times what we should have spent cause the security guy kept clearing drinks from our table without confirming if we were done. I've been in quite a few times over the years and I have to admit, the place has quickly become a favorite. I'd left the scene of what is oldtown when I felt I'd reached the cutoff age. On Saturday, 05/24/2025 at approximately 1:30AM, I visited this bar with a group of friends and had an extremely disturbing and violent encounter. I attempted to use the basketball arcade machine located inside the venue and inserted a $20 bill. The machine was on, but it malfunctioned--no buttons worked, and no basketballs were dispensed. I calmly approached a bartender to explain the situation and ask for assistance. He referred me to the "manager"--a large man with long hair and full-arm tattoos. When I explained what had happened, he didn't make eye contact and dismissively told me to speak to the bouncers instead. When I asked again if he was the manager and how I could be compensated, he suddenly became aggressive, shoving me hard in the chest without warning. I nearly fell backward into nearby tables. As I tried to regain my balance, he shoved me again with zero explanation or justification. Immediately afterward, two bouncers came from the front of the bar, forcibly grabbed me by the arms, dragged me out, and threw me out the front door--again, without a word or explanation. My arm was injured in the process, and I was never refunded my money. What happened to me constitutes assault, and I am seriously considering legal action. This establishment is not only unsafe but appears to have a pattern of aggressive behavior, as supported by other reviews citing rude staff and questionable practices. No customer should ever be physically assaulted or treated with this level of disrespect. Stay far away from this place. There are plenty of bars that treat people like human beings--this is not one of them. read more

Came here on a mission for late night food. Was able to secure some shrimp tacos, and nachos. The nachos were insanely good, however the shrimp tacos were meh. The tortillas were soggy, and way too small. For bar food it should be easily edible -- these were sadly not easy to consume. The actual flavor profile was great though. Drinks were moderately pricey, but reasonable for scottsdale - and the service was a solid 4/5. Overall I wouldn't make my way here specifically but if it was on the docket for a night out, I'd gladly grab these nachos and just add the shrimp next time! read more

Goodwood Tavern is a dive bar with exceptional food for a dive bar. Not usually a dive bar person BUT never found one with a chef. You have to order at the bar. Remember dive bar. But whatever you order you will be pleased with. Great sandwiches and burgers. Good stuff. The ambiance is chill and fun so you get that as a bonus. A Bonus! Frankly we enjoyed the bar and were blown away by what we thought would be par or sub par bar food. The food was great. This is what happens when a grown man thinks he has the right to put his hands on a 115 woman. As you can see I was on the bench dancing, which in downtown is typically allowed. I was unaware that I couldn't do this. However when I was asked to get down, I respected it and immediately got down. He then shoved me by my chest from the bar all the way out the front door yelling. She's not allowed back in here get her the hell out. He aggressively put his hands into my chest like I was a 200 pound linebacker that just got into a bar brawl. I then tried to confront him and ask for a manager which he came out saying he was the manager, which I know is a lie. He then proceeded to try and deny ever putting his hands on me, but in the same breath saying "well, I made a face." I didn't know that making a face gave him the right to put his hands on me and again treat me like I was a 200 pound grown man. I can only imagine how many other people he has treated this way or put his hands on in situation that did not require him to do so. This is what happens when you're on a power trip and think that you're invincible. I am in the bar industry have been for the past 15 years. His behavior was completely unnecessary, and the situation was handled completely unprofessionally. If this is the type of people that they employ, what does that make this establishment? Trash! I literally was on the bench for maybe a good 30 seconds before he asked me to get down which again I kindly got down immediately after he asked me to do so. That did not give him the right to shove me on my chest, which is still hurting today because again I am 115 pounds soaking wet. He was a grown ass man! I would love to see the camera footage from inside of the bar showing the way he handled me. My parents taught me to never put your hands on a woman. I can only imagine what his home life is like. Never again will I ever step foot into this establishment and I would recommend you don't either. This guy is complete trash. He wanted to deny ever touching me, but in the same breath, make an excuse for why he did it. He didn't apologize for hurting me. He didn't apologize for any of his actions. He tried to victim blame me and make an excuse for why he did what he did. Again, the situation was handled completely unprofessionally when he asked me to get out I told him OK I will leave. He literally confirmed it in my video that that is what I said, but then still continued to shove me and put his hands on me. Guy needs a new profession. read more
