Updated review: Outgrown. Definitely not the same spot I remember from when I used to frequent it. Stopped in a few times and unfortunately the vibe just isn't what it used to be for me. At one point I asked for change for pool and a water. The water showed up, the change never did. Not a huge amount of money, but little things like that leave an impression. A few of the bartenders have a certain je ne sais quoi.... unfortunately not the warm, welcoming kind. There's a level of attitude that just doesn't match my personal experiences or memories of this place. The crowd has changed too. Different energy, different vibe, and maybe just not one I blend with anymore. Suppose I've grown up and maybe it's time to move on. It's a shame because this place was genuinely a staple for me and earned those five stars once upon a time. Back then, it was the staff and the atmosphere that made it. Of the latest visits, the only person who carried that same familiar energy was Derek. He wasn't even behind the bar, but as always, it was a pleasure seeing him. Walking around with friends in Old Town Scottsdale and had a great time here. It was 1pm on a Sunday, so not real busy which worked since we had fun playing shuffleboard. They also have pool and darts. Drinks are inexpensive and the bartender was doing great at getting our drinks to us. It's not fancy but it's exactly what we were looking for an afternoon hang out. I'm sure the place gets busy later in the day. All different parts of the place is covered in dollar bills with writing which makes for cool decor. My friends and I stopped by Patties on a Bachelorette trip. The vibes were awesome! Their big thing is having a bunch of dollar bills on the wall, which created a really fun aesthetic. There were a bunch of people there, even on a Friday during the day, so I'd imagine it's pretty busy at night. I'm not sure if they served food, but it seemed like the drinks were fairly standard. Ended up doing a mini dive crawl down in Old Town. This was our second stop. I had a mixed drink and my friend had a local beer (limited offerings/mostly IPAs). Patties is very big, definitely the largest bar we visited in Old Town. Bartender was extremely friendly. It seems like you could encounter people of all ages here and at least during the day it wouldn't matter. There is just a very cool, laid back feel with multiple rooms for all to enjoy. However, there were plenty of DB bros at Patties in shorts, slippers, muscle shirts (sans the muscles) and backwards baseball caps: Rotflmao! Patties is in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale where restaurants and bars abound. It came highly recommended by a bartender and waitress we spoke to in Scottsdale. I had a good time here. The bartenders were cool and attentive. The ID checker in front, and other staff were chill. There were more women vs guys, the music was bumping, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Came here for St. Patrick's day and awesome place!! There were so many people and it was crowded with everyone (and young people and older people too, so many people came out) just drinking social having a good time. I was a bit overdressed since came straight from work though, so if coming here would advise to wear normal or even cute sporty stuff. Soooooo I have been here quite a few times! The most recent was Friday night! Ok, warning....background story...my birthday is today!!! So me and my boyfriend were staying at a super cool hotel not too far from Pattie's. We had the hotel golf cart drive us over there close to midnight lol! But wait! It gets better lol!! I went to the first bathroom on the right...you need to walk back into the establishment like you're exiting! Ok cool! U got it! Then as I went to wash my hands in the sink there was fresh strawberries and alcohol throw up in the sink! Hey it happens right??!! Ok so we walked around and made friends whatever!! Then I had to go to the bathroom again so I went to the one that was in the back with 2 stalls!! What what??! And like a dumb a$$ I left my phone in the stall and so my phone got hijacked!! The good news is it was eventually recovered without a ransom fee!!! Phew right!! But!! Here's the videos and pictures that were randomly taken while my phone was kidnapped!! This place is an absolute joke. Multiple phones were stolen the night I was there -- several of my friends' and random girls we didn't even know. Security did NOTHING to help and acted like it wasn't their problem while people were clearly upset and panicking. On top of that, they were openly letting in people with obvious fake IDs, making the entire bar feel unsafe and completely mismanaged. It's beyond unacceptable that a place would have this many thefts happening and show zero concern for their customers. I will never step foot in Pattie's again and would strongly warn anyone thinking about going -- they clearly don't care about your safety or your experience. Avoid this place. read more

Do not put money in the touchtunes. They will skip your songs if they don't like them. Place used to be a wild "no rules" type place where you could smoke in the bar and blast your favorite songs.
