This is a great spot to check out if your looking for a causal place to hang with friends. It defiantly has a sports bar feel, with a ton of TV's. The menu is more diverse than you would expect but the burgers are pretty flipping good. Beer and drinks combined with a fun crowd and you have a hit. One of the best sports bar experiences I've had in a long time. The place is huge -- crazy high ceilings, a giant two sided bar and a separate outdoor-ish covered patio with a totally different (cozier) vibe --- but somehow still feels welcoming and chill. Maybe it was the great service we got at the bar and the really good happy hour specials we stuffed our faces with while watching Monday Night Football. The place feels a bit higher level than your average sports bar, food-wise: our margherita pizza came out just the way we like it, tavern style; a nicely sauced, not overly cheesy and very thin crust round pizza cut into small squares. It was just the ticket to go with our bottle of wine. There are dozens of TV screens big and small scattered around the place to watch games on, and the massive outside patio sports actual comfy booths and tables to sit at -- not just lawn furniture. We stopped in for Monday night football and had a nice experience. There really isn't a bad place to sit if you want to watch the games. TV's are everywhere inside and out. Unfortunately with the weather, we weren't able to sit outside as most of the TV's were covered due to the rain but it looks like they have a great patio. I didn't catch our server's name but she was excellent. Constantly checked on us and never left us waiting. We ordered the fried pickles to start. They were crispy and delicious. They come with a side of ranch. Next we ordered The Arcadian Pizza which is thin crust with provolone & mozzarella, red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, onion. A nice crispy crust and flavorful. We also ordered the Baby Back ribs. Slow roasted baby back ribs, choice of side. We ordered the Mac & cheese. Super flavorful ribs and fall off the bone. We were fans of the original Arcadia Tavern, so we finally went to the new one. We asked about happy hour, as cocktails were on special, but the Maple Old Fashioned wasn't, we get that, its a premium 14 dollar drink, so how about an old fashioned using well liquor? No, it didn't qualify for happy hour. You can't use well whiskey? We asked what cocktails did qualify for happy hour, and got a vague answer about, "well maybe rum and a soda or something else and soda". No specific list of what qualified and the waitress who was very nice, had no clue. I saw that domestic beer was on special, so, I asked "what is a domestic beer?", the waitress said it was basically Coors, Miller, Bud. I pointed out that they had several other beers on tap, from all over the USA (you know, domestic), including ones brewed just a few miles away. Nope, evidently that's not domestic. I don't have a problem with what you sell for happy hour, but please, on your happy hour menu don't be vague and misleading, list what is actually included so we don't have to play a silly game with the waitress. We decided to leave without ordering, and we went to another place and quizzed the bartender about what a domestic beer is, and what a well cocktail is, and they got it right. I recently went to dinner here on a Monday night. We had a very friendly server. She was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menus and was very attentive. We had the cornbread as a starter. It was warm, flavorful, and came with honey and an apple butter. Delicious! We also had the fish n chips and Arcadia smash burger. They were very tasty and the fries had good seasoning. This place is great!! Whether your in a big group, by yourself or on a date, they got you covered. We went here for the first time during a football Sunday and it was packed with fans from all over the USA. All the TV are marked with the games. Even during it's busiest time, the staff worked like machines. The service was great and the food came out on time and was great. We had buffalo chicken wings, they were grilled then fried and we enjoyed them a lot. We also ordered the BBQ bacon burger and it was cooked exactly how we wanted it and the onion rings were pretty big and crunchy. The desert cookie was very good too. This replaced a Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers and it seems very similar on the inside but the food was a lot better. There are still plenty of TVs to watch the game from any seat and a lot of drinks to choose from. We started with the skillet cornbread and it was really delicious. With the apple butter and honey it was basically a dessert and a lot of cornbread for 2 people. I got a steak salad and really enjoyed it. The steak was cooked nicely and not chewy like some steak salads tend to be and all the ingredients made it seem more like a steak bowl than just a salad. Seemed to only have 1 waitress working the patio on a Friday night. Don't blame her at all but took 10 minutes just to get a box for leftovers. Food runner messed up wings and gave ours to another table. No problem, but no offer to make things right. Napkins were already dirty so asked for new ones. The name "Original" is a little misleading for those who knew and loved the ORIGINAL Tavern a decade ago on 48th and Indian School. The true OG Tavern was the perfect Family spot... where parents rode bikes with their kids after practice, and where kids rec league jerseys were retired to the rafters. It was a gem in the 'Hood. This is essentially the old CBC with a new sign, new menu and wall coverings. That doesn't make it bad though. It is still one of the better Sports / TV hangouts in the 'Hood. read more

I made the mistake of ordering the half rack of ribs. 5 small ribs just doesn't make a meal in my not professional opinion. They were good just didnt feel like I got the typical half rack. Maybe it was my fault and should have just opted for the full rack. Either way I still feel like I was a little shorted for the amount they charge. Fries were also good. Same staff, loud TVs and only a Chiefs bar BIG difference is how they charge\bill for drinks. Dbls aren' dbls,, they're billed as dbls but you get 1/2 shot additional. What a great addition and relocation to a neighborhood gem! The menu is great and the ambiance inside is perfect for any time of the day. We did find the patio to be VERY loud with traffic noice at rush hour time. I met my husband there for happy hour. We snacked on the tasty Fried Pickles while we waited for our daughter. The bartenders were fantastic and service was great. After we moved to a high top for dinner our server, Lauren took great care of us. Our daughter enjoyed the salmon entree, my husband loved the perfectly cooked Steak Salad and I enjoyed the house-made Southwest Egg rolls. Please watch your ending bill. Savannah decided she deserved 3 tips on one bill. She added an autograt and didn't tell anyone , added an additional $17 on top of that, and charged my friend a penny on his card for an additional $60 for herself. I have worked in this industry for 20 years and that is completely unacceptable to do to people. Luckily I asked my friend why he was charged a penny and the manager DID refund it.
