I do not recommend any one to go to this location to buy a car. Barstow Auto Sale buys most of their cars from auctions sales and when they purchase those vehicles, they do not fix it up at all. All they do is clean it up to make it "look nice." They do not do any mechanical work to the car unless it is visible to the customer. They don't care for their customers. They only care about money and ripping their customers off. They will sell the same "make and model" with different "car years and mileages", for the same price. When I bought a car from them, they told me to oil change it. They did not even pump the gas for me, it was low on empty! Not even a month later when I purchased a car from them, my car over heated. They were nice enough to fix it, but it was only for a temporary fix, because the problem started occurring again. If you want a honest car dealership, I advice you NOT to shop here! You might get lucky and get a decent car if the previous owner took cared of their vehicle, but other than that, good luck. read more

We bought our 2005 Chevy Silverado extended cab from them in October of 2015. They never came through on fixing a leak in the roof, which caused some damage in the headliner which we had to fix on our own. They also promised to put nerf bars on the truck, but they've yet to do that too. We keep getting the run around and we are ready to file small claims against them. Don't go to them! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT buy a car here. I repeat, DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealer. They will void their contract and not hold up on the deal. They charged me for my tags in the contract, DID NOT pay them, then stuck me with the bill. I was forced to pay the tags out of my own pocket (while already paying for them in the contract), to avoid having them expire. I have spent 3 weeks trying to deal with them in regards to getting this issue fixed, and every time I call I get the usual "they just left the office", or "the manager is on vacation". This place sold my mom a truck that is a lemon, its funny how right after i mean like a month after her having the truck it was already in the shop, the truck had miss mached breaks, brake calipers that were stuck alignment that was off by a million miles a Cadillac converter problem a blown head gasket that's fixed with the head gasket sealer Hydro booster that was going out that's now been replaced master cylinder that look to be off of another vehicle power steering pump that was seized and the list goes on, in my opinion I wouldn't buy anything from this dealership it is awful how people do that two others just to make a buck.. she has tried calling and every time she or i get no one to pick up... read more

On 1-7 we stop by the lot to look at car because a few years ago my husband bought a truck from there and the service was great well this experience was mind blowing on 1-7 we seen a car we like we do we spoke to Christian the sale person was very nice we took the car for a test drive and on the test drive we notice the car was grinding so we took the car back to the lot and told Christian he said he would look into know that we were very interested and had 98% of the cars price here come zak very unprofessional telling me do the paper now or you could lose the car to the next people because this is be sold for a x employee I tOld him no my husband has to come look it over ... we came back that evening and my husband noticed there was a hairline crack in the brakes so that would be fixable so we left after both Christian and zak to is the car will be fix ASAP tomorrow which was 1-8 so they lied the car was never look at we called a few time and they to us it's across the street getting fix so we discuss was to go do the paper work and pay the money and so when we get the zak pulls up laughing o shit I forgot to send it out at that point I was done with him but we still did the paper work and paid for the car cash left the car with the promise that he would have it done by noon on 1-9 ... car was not fixed til after 3:30 pm when we get there we finish up the other paper and I proceeded outside where zak is Imme is with a few people so he turn and said how are you lady's we said fine but I have one question are you going to put the paper license plates he said no you have a paper in the window I told him we all need the paper state Law as 1-1-19 you have to have it he responded very aggressively and yelling your try to tell me how to run my lot ... I bought a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500hd and the price was fair. I was able to get them to drop the price because of the mileage on the truck. When I drove an hour and a half to check it out and buy it , it did not pass smog because it had headers. So they told me that I would have to come back tomorrow, I refused and was going to walk but they offered to deliver it to me. I agreed and they delivered it the next day. When he got here we took for drive again and we did paper work and when he left we popped the hood and it had a radiator leak. I called to let him know and he pretty much told me that since they gave me a price cut on truck I could take care of the radiator leak myself. I understand that when I buy a vehicle with that many miles I will have to do some work to it , but for radiator to go out as soon as he leaves and they won't take care of it or meet me half way is kinda BS. I can not anything positive about Barstow Auto Sales. I wish there was a negative star option and I truly wish that I could meet people in person and warn them about the pathetic things that are happening at this business. Dan and Jimmy seem like nice people as other reviews have said. However, that is a part of their scheme and that is how they take advantage of nice people. I was originally told to go to Barstow Auto Sales by a "friend" that contacted me saying I could get a great deal lifting my new truck with them. It has been less than a month since I lifted my truck, got rims and tires through Barstow Auto Sales. There have been multiple problems and safety issues. I have had to replace parts on the lift kit after my rear sway bar end link came off while I was driving and caused significant damage to my frame! I found the wrong bolts, my OEM bolts, were placed and I had to take it to a professional mechanic to have the entire kit looked over and tightened, he found multiple discrepancies including I did not receive the steering stabilizers I paid for. Instead, they installed basic Fox shocks, knowing I paid for something different. The most recent mechanic I went to at West Coast Wheels & Tires proved to me that I was lied to and overcharged by 700 on my wheels alone. I have no idea how much I was overcharged for my lift kit, rims, or other services they did on my truck but after finding this out I decided compromising the safety of family and being so dishonest was enough and I had to warn others about this. I will say that Barstow Auto Sales does not install the kits themselves but they outsource to another business. This is the fault of Barstow Auto Sales and the other company combined. I wish I would have listened to a co worker of mine when they said this was a shady business, it would have saved me thousands of dollars in repairs on a brand new truck and lift kit as well as countless hours fixing the mistakes others know they are making. I recently bought a 2003 jeep wrangler from barstow auto. When I bought it it didn't have a spare tire.So the salesman said he would get us a new one.We waited and waited still no new spare tire. So I called him and he told me that he ordered one but it was the wrong bolt pattern and that they were hard to find. This went on for 2 months. So I called him back and he told me come on down we have your spare. So we went down to the store and he tried giving me the wrong sized bald tire. Then he told me he understood what I meant when I told him it wouldn't work. And that he would talk to his 4 wheel drive buddies and get me one. 2 more weeks went by and I called him back and he told me he tried to give me a spare for my jeep and I wouldn't accept it. Then he proceeds to tell me that he never promised me a new spare and that it's not a safety issue.so he wasn't going to help me anymore.And if you read this person I am talking about Why don't you call me and fix it.
