I received their email of $1500 off. I work all day, so i decided to reply to the email from their Internet Sale Specialist who invites me for a test drive. One Internet Manager and one Internet Sale Specialist in the email with me. Ask - Answer and i got their quote for a Nissan Kicks SR Premium Package. It totally different, like $7000 more for the OTD Pricing from the website. I just gave up and they ask how much i expect. I just show them the pricing from their " own website ". I did not low ball anything. So they agree and ask me to come to the Dealer soon because incentives from Nissan end today, April 30. I hard check my Credit to pull up the Interest rate. After that was what i waste my time and also lose my money for taking the shift off, hard inquiry my credit score for nothing. I went to the dealer and sat with sale guy. And then the Sale Manager came over and tried to get me any pricing up north. He said he can only give pricing right now. Come on, your sale team member agree that OTD and invite me to come to do paper. That is ridiculously amateur. The Sale manager agree with that and left again. He came back and wanted to knock me up with a higher price. I said no but eventually i agreed to round up the number and do the interest that my bank provided me but with their lender. He left again. Third time , he tried to play words with me like your number you show is net price before tax, bla bla bla. Look at the photos i attach. Advertise Pricing that company show $26750 , tax and fee show $2945.97. Sum up the 2 numbers will come out to $29695.97. He wanted to play words with me like $29695.97 is the net pricing with tax and fee , and wanted to add $2945.97 one more time. I was tired with this guy, no respond and decided to leave. For the whole story, i did not low ball their pricing. Whatever their mother company want to sell , i agree to pay for, but when i come to the dealer. All dramas and traps. Even when the sale team member agree with the OTD pricing. You still have to deal with their sale manager with all bs reasons. ONE MORE THING: THE CAR IN REAL IS NOT SIMILAR TO THE ONE THEY ADVERTISE. THE WHEEL LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ON THE WEBSITE EVEN THOUGH STOCK # IS SIMILAR. I GUESS THEY SWAP FROM OTHER MODEL FOR OTHER CUSTOMER. SO WHOEVER BUY THAT CAR AND DO NOT PAY ATTENTION OR CHECK CAREFULLY, WILL END UP BEING A LOSER. Do not purchase a used vehicle here!!!! I traded in my jeep and they ended up giving me $1,000 less than what was originally offered. I ended up getting an Audi Q5. I was the last customer of the day and they were closing. I was driving home and immediately felt the brakes grinding. Since they were closed, I called the next day and was told to take it in no problem. Then to my surprise my door handle broke off. They have had my car for a week and refuse to fix it. Alex, the service advisor had the nerve to tell me that it was my fault!! It's illegal to sell a vehicle in California with faulty brakes. Not only did he remove old tree sap from the windows and some of the hood, he left the inside spotless and even arranged two stuffed animals that were in the back seat! Small details that mean a lot. Frankie was his name and he is awesome l!! Also as I waited I was approached by a very kind and knowledgeable salesman outside. He offered to take me for a test drive in the new EV Leaf. We spent several minutes at a table discussing numbers and negotiating, only to then have a salesperson come back and tell us that someone else had signed a contract for the vehicle. The whole situation made no sense. First we were told someone had signed paperwork, then we were encouraged to sit down and discuss offers, and only a few minutes later we were told the car was officially under contract and unavailable. It felt like our time was being wasted and that nobody was being upfront with us about the status of the vehicle. To make matters worse, comments were made implying that my parents couldn't afford the vehicle. Whether that was intended or not, it came across as rude, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. On three different occasions, I was told over the phone that my car was ready for pickup, only to show up and find out it wasn't ready each time. This has wasted my time and made the whole process stressful. I understand that delays can happen, but giving inaccurate information repeatedly is not okay. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership. Everything seemed fine on day one, but after that, the experience completely fell apart. They make sure to get a review from you before the transaction is actually complete, which now makes sense why. The vehicle had cosmetic damage that they agreed to repair, and it was even written on the due bill, but getting them to follow through was like pulling teeth. Communication was terrible, and no manager would ever return calls. They also try to pressure you into paying for unnecessary add-ons to inflate the price of the vehicle -- things like SWAT, paint protection coating, and a "lifetime battery" package. These extras added nearly $6,000 to the bill. They claim you have to pay for them because they're "already on the vehicle," but if that's true, then those costs should already be included in the advertised price. Otherwise, it feels very misleading. The only reason we ended up getting the vehicle was because I refused to back down. The only way I was finally able to get responses and resolve issues from the sale was by contacting Lithia Motors corporate directly. Once I did that, things finally started getting handled. My husband and I listed our vehicle on Facebook Marketplace. The details and pictures of the vehicle were posted with mileage. We were contacted via Facebook messaging by an individual named Bertha. Several exchanges were made regarding mileage, the condition of the vehicle, the condition of the tires, how title was held, and the VIN number was provided. After providing the information and telling her where she could view the vehicle for a test drive she stated: " I did some research on your vehicle, and based on all information that we have, I can offer $11,500.00,and we can close the deal ASAP". We responded in writing that we accepted her offer and required either cash or a cashier's check to complete the transaction. Bertha responded: "Sounds good. I represent a dealership, its a check that can be cashed out at any bank." There were more questions and exchanges regarding title and then Bertha stated that she represented a dealership called Lithia Nissan of Clovis, located at 370 Herndon Ave., Clovis CA. 93612. We were asked to bring the vehicle to the dealership at 1:30 pm. Upon arrival with our vehicle, we were informed by Martine, Internet Specialist, that they would inspect our vehicle by driving it and having the engine scanned. After the inspection, we were advised that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle but he needed supervisor authorization to complete the transaction. After making us wait for more than 30 minutes, Martine indicated that the agreed price was a little on the high end. Martine made this statement despite the fact that we had a written offer that was accepted in writing. We were then informed that another level of authority was needed to approve the purchase. Approximately another 30 minutes passed. Martine then informed us that we were only about $500 apart. At that time we reminded him that we had a written offer that was accepted and we were not there to renegotiate price. Our vehicle key was taken for a second alleged inspection by the general manager. After 15 minutes the general manager tried to point out minor cosmetic blemishes on our 9 year old vehicle in an attempt to evade the contract. We informed the general manager that Lithia Nissan was violating a written offer and acceptance. At that time our key was returned and he rudely walked away. While this seems like a minor dispute, i believe it is indicative of an intentional misrepresentation without the intent to perform. This tactic is used by car dealerships to deceive members of the public to get them to bring their used motor vehicles to the dealership under the false pretense of a written offer for a particular price, only to try and renegotiate a different price after requiring the used car owners to spent countless hours waiting and being passed around from person to person. read more

When I bought my car the sticker price was $13000. They don't tell u that they add an additional $3000 in crap u don't need when ur signing the paperwork. Things like paint protection. Negotiated that to $2000 with free oil changes included for the life of the loan. During the test drive the windshield washer fluid level light was on. Sales guy said I just needed to add fluid and it would go off, but if it didn't just bring it back in. Brought it back in and now they want to charge me $215 just to diagnose the problem, which is obviously the sensor. I was considering trading the car in for something else from them, but I'll go somewhere else. They will try and tell u anything u want to hear to get the sale. I recently purchased a 2022 Mazda cx5. The finance guy Many Paul with out my knowledge added oil changes at $1999. And extended warranty at $5999. to the total amount financed. I did not agree to purchase this additional $8000. i asked for a copy of the purchase contract 2 times on that day and he said he could not provide me with a copy. Instead he said he would email me the copy the next business day. When I finally received it by email I called and emailed Many Paul and asked him to fix the loan contract to what I did agree to. The purchase price plus taxes and $37 a month for a warranty. I returned to dealership and met with Many Paul I asked for the General manager and also told Mr Paul that I was there to return the car He said He had a no return policy. then Mr.Paul said he would correct the overcharge that I never agreed to. After that I again asked him to provide me with a copy of my new purchase contract and he again said he could not provide me with it . He stated that the bank does that . I kept a copy of what I believe was a corrected contract with a lower payment. I also recorded our conversation. Mr. Paul is less that truthful and is misleading. I contacted the bank and filed a complaint and will be contacting more agencies. in the hopes of resolving this costly matter. Consumers be warned. This Nissan of Clovis dealership charged me $1,295.00 for a SWAT theft-deterrent device they claimed was already installed and mandatory. After contacting KARR Security Systems directly, I received confirmation from multiple representatives that no device was ever installed or registered to my vehicle. Despite providing proof, the dealership continued to deny it for months. It took four months before Rigoberto Heredia, the sales manager, finally took the time to properly investigate my issue and only then did he confirm that I was right and the security device had never been installed. He ultimately resolved the issue and approved the refund, but it should have never taken this long. Charging for a nonexistent product is a serious matter and appears to violate multiple California consumer protection laws regarding misrepresentation and improper add-on fees. I hope this review protects other buyers from going through the same situation and reminds them to be ready to file complaints with the DMV Investigations Unit, the Better Business Bureau, and Lithia Motors Corporate if needed. Dealer Add Ons are a scam they do not increase the blue book value of your car in order to get financing. READ THIS I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience with this dealership was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel others should be aware. When I purchased my truck, I made it very clear that I did not want any dealer add-ons. Despite that, I was told more than once that I had to purchase them in order to even qualify for the loan. That turned out to be completely false. When I sat down with the finance manager to finalize the paperwork, he was confused as to why I was never offered an extended warranty or gap coverage -- and in fact told me those products could have helped reduce my interest rate. He was able to add those options, but I was still forced into keeping the dealer add-ons I had specifically said I didn't want. The add-ons themselves were never properly explained. For example, I was charged for something called "SWAT" and paint protection, but I have found no evidence that the paint protection was ever actually applied to my vehicle. I was also told the truck came with a brand-new battery and a 7-year warranty, only to later realize I was simply charged an outrageous fee for the warranty coverage rather than being given a new battery as represented. None of this was disclosed clearly or fairly. To make matters worse, after the sale I discovered damage on the rear bumper that had never been mentioned. Since the truck was backed in on the lot, I didn't notice it until later. The truck was also not even cleaned properly before delivery -- very disappointing for a major purchase. I want to point out that my salesperson was great to work with. The problem was the overall sales process, which was hectic, overwhelming, and deceptive. I feel like the dealership knew how badly I wanted the truck and used that to take advantage of me. I had bought a vehicle for my wife at another dealership just a few months earlier, and they had no issue removing the add-ons I didn't want. This dealership, on the other hand, left me with thousands in unwanted products, a higher final cost than advertised, and a very sour experience. I would caution anyone thinking of buying here to read the fine print carefully and not to accept claims that add-ons are required to qualify for financing -- because they aren't. What Dealers Can Exclude California law allows licensed dealers to exclude the following from the advertised price without it being considered deceptive: * Government fees (sales tax, registration, title, smog fees, tire fees) * Official document processing or electronic filing fees * Finance charges 3. Dealer Add-Ons This is the gray area. * If an add-on is mandatory (i.e., the dealer will not sell the car without it), then under California's existing DMV advertising rules and consumer protection laws, it should be included in the advertised price. * If an add-on is optional (like extended warranties, paint protection, GAP insurance, etc.), then it does not need to be in the advertised price -- but it must be presented as optional to the buyer. The problem arises when dealers say the add-ons are required to get financing or to buy the car. That crosses into false or misleading advertising and unfair sales tactics, which can be a violation of California law even if SB 478 doesn't directly cover it. read more

Please read, I should have looked at all the reviews before going to this dealership. I feel sorry for people that they take advantage of. We came in on July 8th and met with Joseph. He was very patient with us and let us drive several cars. The following day I took the day off to drive back to Clovis and make a purchase. Joseph again met with us at 5pm. We were and are very happy with how we were treated with him. However, the sales managers Aaron and David and finance person Marcus Cruz not so much. Aaron ( Sales Manager) was rude and condescending saying "oh you are just trying to get a car for cheap". He also tried to tax the car registration and tags. David (Sales Manager) low balled our trade in and made promises of $16,000 to be financed through a credit union. And that none of the additional charges for the SWAT and Glasscoat could be removed even when we stated that we did not want them. At one point we asked for our keys back but they never brought them to us. In the end, he showed us a monthly payment of $276± for a financed amount of $16,000. Finally at about 8:45pm we met with Marcus, in finance. We were rushed through the signing process and were not able to view the documents. We were presented with a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty that covers everything from oil changes to mechanical issues (which he just wrote on a piece of paper). And because we were Costco members, he said, our rate would go down to 6.74% with a $49 increase to our payment for the warranty and there was no deductible for any repairs or maintenance. But never saw any actual documents, just a paper that Marcus wrote on. Then rushed again, "sign here, sign here, sign here", and out the door in 15 minutes. We asked for copies of everything that we signed and Marcus said they would be in our email. No email was ever received. We sent messages to Marcus, Maria and Joseph the next day asking for our paperwork for our transaction, warranties, credit report and service records. July11th we received an email from Marcus with no message and documents that we signed on our phone which we already had. We replied to him and asking for the complete package and still no response. We were finally able to talk to Isabel that afternoon and she sent over the contract and warranty information but nothing else. When reviewing the contract the total financed is $21,000 not $16,000. It was not disclosed that that was a $5,000 increase which raised our payment significantly. Also, when reviewing the warranty information it was for 36 months or 36,000 miles not 5 years or 60,000 miles, as promised. Plus there is a deductible and you have to ask for reimbursement for these services at which there is a limit. Needless to say this experience was been horrible and misleading (except for Joseph). As of July 11th we still had not received all the documents that we signed. July 12, got an email and phone call from the Finance Manager, Bobby Lopez and he asked us to come back in on Monday and they would make it right. We went in on Monday, July 14th (which is an hour one way) and met with Isabel not Bobby and she canceled the contract and went through the new one. She told us there is no 5 year/60,000 mile warranty available and never asked us about being a Costco member. Mysteriously she was able to remove all add-ons and additional warranties. We did keep one warranty for fear that they had sold us a car that might not be all that was promised. We never saw or spoke to Bobby. We will NEVER buy from any Lithia Dealership again!!!! And I would suggest that none of you do either. They make money not only on the cars but the financing. They get 2% for anything under 60 months and 2.5% for 72 months or more. Don't let them bully you. Just walk away. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! They have had my vehicle for extended times and will only give me an update when I text in. Will not answer my calls and very difficult to get anyone on the line. My vehicle was also given back to me and stated everything would be fine until they get the next part it. Well I tried to start it the next day and it won't start, which was not the reason for taking it to them in the first place. I've had nothing but false promises and shady dealings. After talking to salespeople I was pressured multiple times to pay more after stating that I wanted only the vehicle I was looking at. Then be told on multiple occasions that my vehicle was ready for pick up only to show up and the vehicle was not ready after 4 days. On Saturday, May 17th, I confirmed online that a Ram 1500 Tradesman was in stock at the Clovis location. Based on that confirmation, I made a two-hour drive on Sunday, May 18th, only to be told upon arrival that the truck was on another lot and I would be contacted when it became available. I was later notified by salesman Preston on Sunday, May 25th, at 4:21 PM that the truck had arrived--followed just nine minutes later by another message informing me it had already been sold. Still attempting to do business with Lithia, I scheduled a test drive at the Mission Hills location after confirming with Becca on Saturday, June 7th that a Ram 1500 Tradesman was available. I received confirmation and booked an appointment for Sunday, June 8th at 11:00 AM. I drove two and a half hours for this appointment. Upon arrival, I was forced to wait an additional hour, only to be told that--due to a "miscommunication"--the truck had been taken home for the weekend by a mechanic and was not available for the test drive. To add insult to injury, the sales staff at the Mission Hills location--including a salesman named Bob (or Robert)--openly cursed and made inappropriate jokes about other potential customers within earshot of both me and my wife. The level of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and disregard for my time and effort was appalling. This experience has been beyond frustrating--it has been insulting. I have wasted hours of my time, spent money on travel, and received nothing in return but misinformation, disorganization, and blatant disrespect. I will not be doing business with Lithia in the future. Furthermore, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sharing my experience publicly in online reviews for both the Clovis and Mission Hills locations so that other customers are warned about this kind of behavior.
