Suuuuper unimpressed. My husband and I -- middle-aged, nicely dressed, we definitely look like serious car shoppers -- went on a weekday last week. It was not crowded at all. We wandered the lot for a good long time, looking at various SUVs although everything was locked and we couldn't get a good look at anything. We were expecting a sales person to approach us, but we were totally ignored. For a long time. Finally we thought, "Maybe we have to go inside?" So we went inside where various employees were. We looked at the cars indoors. No one greeted us, no one approached us. I made eye contact with a guy who was just sitting alone in his glass office. Nope he ignored us too. It was weird. What am I supposed to do? Walk into the guy's office and say hey? So we left. It was bizarre. I've never had an experience like that at a car dealership. Then soon after, I reached out to Costco's car buying program to see if we could save a few dollars that way. I learned that Future Kia was part of the program. Costco said someone from Future Kia would be in touch. Sure enough, someone emailed us and asked us to come in. I replied sure, but I'd like to see the Costco prices first, please. Ghosted. No reply. It's been a couple more days. You know, I could have mentioned, "Yeah we already came in and wandered around for a good 20-30 minutes and were ignored by everyone there, so we don't want to waste our time again -- we just would like the price list that Costco says you're supposed to give us," but I didn't want to seem rude. But it's true -- we already went all the way over to Clovis and wasted our time. Now we want the Costco price list and are being ignored some more. I guess a Kia is not in our future, and that's fine: we usually buy Toyotas, and that's what we'll probably do again. People at Toyota will walk over and greet you and tell you about the cars -- even though they don't have anything on the lot to sell you. read more

I leased a 2023 Kia Soul from Future Kia of Clovis. The original deal went ok but dealing with their leasing company Hyundai/Kia Leasing has been a nightmare. They lost my title but didn't tell me this. So I buyout the car at the end of the lease for $17,158 but they can't give me a title because they don't have it. This has been going on for two months with no end it sight. Dealing with the people Hyundai/Kia Leasing is a nightmare. They don't make notes about discussions with them so everything has to get repeated every time you call. I will never buy another Hyundai or Kia again. When we first got here, there was no parking, ie. they have overstock of cars probably due to their bad service. When we walked in, nobody greeted us. We were ignored. Associates walked right past us and stood around as if we were invisible. After standing for 10 minutes, we decided to go outside to look at some cars. Walked back into the office and still no greeting or help. Associates just sitting and chit chatting, pretending we weren't literally standing in front of them. They don't seem to want to sell cars. Zero Accountability - Avoid Future Kia of Clovis Service I am beyond frustrated with the service department at Future Kia of Clovis. While I understand that EV battery replacements require internal approvals, the lack of communication and blatant dishonesty I experienced is unacceptable. We dropped our EV off on March 23rd, and what followed was a week of broken promises: Failed Updates: We were promised updates on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday. Each time, I had to be the one to initiate contact. No Documentation: By Saturday, when my advisor was off, no other staff could help because no notes had been updated in the system. Convenient "Coincidences": After being told they were waiting on the East Coast office (which was already closed for the day), I filed a BBB complaint. Minutes after the BBB notified them, the dealership suddenly called me with a "denied" status, claiming the closed office had just called them back. To add insult to injury, after a week of being ignored and lied to, they still charged me hundreds of dollars for a "service" that resulted in zero solutions and a denied repair. The lack of transparency is insulting. I shouldn't have to chase down a professional for a week just to get a status update. Buy and service here at your own risk. read more

Worst service department EVER. Normally I take my KIA to Selma Kia but they were booked out really far and my Sorento needed immediate attention. Checked Clovis Kia and saw they had appointments available the following week so I called and made a service appointment to bring my Sorento in. My appointment was Thursday March 5th. My service advisor Diana let me know they'd run the diagnostic and call me with the estimate. They called a few hours later and let me know it was my "charcoal canister and the lines leading into it" which they said would cost me $2900 and they'd have to order the parts because they didn't have them in stock. Diana told me the parts would be in Monday morning so my car would be finished Monday end of the day. Monday rolls around and she never calls to communicate with me what's going on so at 4:30 I called and was told the parts didn't come in but tracking showed they'd be there Tuesday morning. Tuesday comes and again Diana never reached out so at 4 I started calling and calling and calling but the phones rang and rang. 35 minutes later I got someone to answer and locate Diana only for her to say the parts YET AGAIN hadn't showed up. I let her know when I dropped my vehicle off that I only had my rental car until Wednesday and she assured me that would be more than enough time. Yeah well guess what my husband and I had to extend our rental TWO MORE DAYS because my Sorento went on got ONE issue that takes a few hours to fix and they had my car an entire week! They finally finished my car Thursday March 12 at 4 in the evening. Diana took $300 off my total and put the blame on the parts not coming in. From now on I guess I'll just have to wait long wait times to get into Selma Kia since everyone at Clovis Kia could care less about the customers. Don't bring your vehicle here! read more

Love my car however I hate the service department at the dealership. I have an issue with my car relating to a hybrid battery and they wouldn't even schedule me for an appointment. They basically told me that appointments are several weeks out. I asked for them to give me a day they just said it would be weeks away without giving me any type of answer. I have had to reach out to another dealership outside of town who at least has put me on calendar. I may have to find a local repair shop that deals with hybrids due to not being able to get any assistance here. Eric Stafford and his team in the Service Department was just awesome. We had just purchased a Kia EV6 in San Diego (where we live) and were on an anniversary road trip to Yosemite. We were having some difficulty with EV charging our new vehicle. He quickly diagnosed the issue and found that a software update was needed. His team promptly serviced the vehicle and also gave us a free courtesy wash. We could have been stuck for hours with an unscheduled maintenance issue, but the issue was remediated in about a little over an hour. Just great professional service. $159 charge just for an oil change of a 4 cylinder Kia sedan !!!! That's unfair, unjustified and uncalled for !! If Kia believes they can push their customers in order to remain eligible for their car warranty to bring their cars to the Kia dealership and then overcharge them via these unfair fees for the regular maintenance, then they are making a massive wrong miscalculation !! I've leased kias multiple times before and never been asked to pay such a high fee for an oil change !! I have leased and leasing other cars too and do not recall paying more than $90 for an oil change of those cars ever before. I'll further escalate their unfair practice with the corporate or regional office and will do the car's oil change at another local Oil Changer while having this car leased . This likely would be my last Kia lease from Future Kia of Clovis unless they change their approach toward their customers and start treating them with dignity, honorably and fairly. read more

Clovis Kia - A Nightmare Experience I recently and present had a terrible experience with Clovis Kia that I feel compelled to share. I took my 2021 Kia Seltos in for service on February 11, 2025, and what followed was a frustrating ordeal that I wouldn't wish on anyone. First off, I was informed on February 13 that my car's oil was completely empty, but the service team had no explanation as to why. This alone raises a huge red flag about their service quality and attention to detail, but it only got worse from there. They promised to arrange a rental car for me, but there was no follow-up communication on the 13th or the 14th, which was very disappointing, especially since it was a Friday. After waiting patiently through the weekend, I finally called on Tuesday to find out what was going on. It was only then that they mentioned a rental car was ready for me. When I arrived at the dealership, the service representative, Robert, informed me of a serious issue regarding the oil not reaching the pistons and that they were waiting on guidance from Kia. This left me feeling uneasy and questioning the competence of their service team. Now, as of February 27, I have yet to receive any updates from Clovis Kia. I did receive a call from Kia Corporation's Customer Service on February 25, but that hardly compensates for the lack of communication from the dealership itself. The fact that it took an outside entity to reach out to me speaks volumes about their customer service--or lack thereof. In summary, my experience with Clovis Kia has been nothing short of a nightmare. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and a seemingly incompetent service team are not what I expect from a dealership, especially one representing the Kia brand. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for service, as my trust in Clovis Kia has been completely shattered. However, they still have my vehicle and if it does cool and give it like it should be running. I will come in and change this review and then write exactly how it improved but at this time I'm just so frustrated. What is my vehicle fixed? It's still under the main warranty plus I have a warranty up to 150,000 miles sold to me. I don't know what their issue is all they're looking at is the signs. Do not have your vehicle towed here. Horrible customer service. No follow up. On hold forever. Had my 7 day old new vehicle towed here because of mechanical problems...again after 7 days. Car had been there all day with no updates unless I called & no ETA on a diagnostic. It's a Friday and my birthday and I had non-refundable plans out of town with family. I had asked about a courtesy vehicle and was told it wouldn't be a problem. When I called back an hour before closing, I was told no courtesy vehicle until the diagnostic was completed to ensure there was no outside influence and that he didn't know how long it would take, it could take days, there is no estimated time. SMH. And I did not know they were an independent dealer. Will never deal with this dealership again. If there was a zero star, I would have given. Have filed a complaint with kia customer care & BBB. Called today 08/18/25 for update. Was on hold for extended periods of time again or couldn't get through all morning. Diagnosis has been done to determine that it is a CAN communication issue. Basically electrical or computer related. Asked about courtesy vehicle. Was now told further diagnostic is needed to ensure no outside sources caused issue. Lol therefore, not able to get a courtesy vehicle. This place is a joke and why their rating is low and all the reviews/complaints are similar to mine. read more

Best car shopping experience ever! Unlike Selma Kia who approached us like vultures asking us numerous times to look at this look at that we asked them about 7 times " can we please just look???" They never left us alone. We bolted out of there after looking at only a few cars. Went to Future Kia and NO one approached us until we were there at least 20 minutes into looking at the cars we were wanting to test drive. Rich approached us very professionally, not vulture like and calm and very kind. He listened to us and then took us inside to cool off and get water. Then we asked to test drive and he brought out the exact color I wanted and interior too I loved. At first we wanted to test drive a Sorento but realized as retirement age folks and only myself would be driving 90% of the time I didn't need a three to car and the Sportage was perfect. Rich did a great job of taking care of all the car buying steps and paperwork and then we met Josh and he helped explain the contract part very well and also a very kind gentleman like Rich. Future Kia of Clovis is the WORST. I took my Kia Sorento to have them look at my sunroof which the bracket was broke on 07/26/2025. They broke the spring and ripped my headliner. My car is worst then when I dropped it off. Than the Service Manager Nathan (whom was no where to be found when I picked up my car and tried to dismiss me after he scheduled an appointment with me for the following Friday so he can review the damages) lets me know there is nothing he can do because the mechanic's note. Nathan informed me on Friday 08/01/2025 that he would only allow two (2) mechanics work on Kia's sunroof (that spoke volumes, that he knew they messed up). When Future Kia of Clovis called for permission to remove the bracket they NEVER stated that the spring was broken. PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! As of August 2, Kia has had my vehicle since Monday. This is Saturday came to pick up my vehicle. The repair order says that they could not duplicate the problem when I brought it in the lift gate was not opening and I had the Service advisor right there and it would not open now. I understand that Nathan the service manager has been writing the Repair orders and the information is correct incorrect so again Nathan the service manager at Kia Future Kia Of Clovis is lying. I have a meeting with him on Monday. We'll see what he has to say. The bureau of automotive repair has not got back to me yet, but if they can't resolve, then I will pursue a civil suit against Kia Service department and Nathan. read more

Restoring my faith in car dealers! My retired in-laws were T-boned by an uninsured driver in Paseo Robles, and I live way down in S OC. They had planned on driving their current, spotless 2016 Kia Sorrento forever ~ and it looked the part. They didn't have "extra" funds, but I was determined to get them a new Kia ('23 or newer), which they loved. Let me tell you, there are some dealers that give the industry a black eye ~ I'm talking about you, Kia of Palmdale who trumpets "no dealer mark up" but requires you to purchase $3,500 in "manditory upgrades" like TWO different exterior paint protection packages, and $450 to etch your VIN on a catalytic converter (done free at AAA!). I was also challenged with finding a Unicorn. It had to be a hybrid (not too bad), but also had to have the grey / not black interior AND be a non-dark exterior (Yeah, I'm down down to a handfull). Oh! And I had to do all of this by phone and email. And they needed it now, as they had no vehicle. I reached out on Future Kia's website after finding one that met their specific requirements. Most of the time, website responses would be delayed, automated and slow. Not them! Future Kia of Clovis responded like a well oiled machine, while every person (and we spoke with EVERYONE through the process - from the GM down!) was honest, knowedgeable, didn't pull any punches, and willing to REALLY work with us on a challenging situation. The proof is in their performance. Not only did we get a 2024 (and a price far cheaper than Kia of Palmdale's '23 ~ with more equipment on it!) But because my 80 year old in-laws were recovering from the accident (and PTSD it seems), Michael, the GM arranged to have a team of drivers deliver the Sorrento all the way out to Paseo Robles, walk them through all the intricacies of the car (pairing of the phones, the infamous "getting the garage door opener" to respond) the very next day! And we got the deal done VERY fast without setting a foot in their door (which was 2+ hours away!). So to Michael, Juan, Derek, Adrian and the entire team ~ THANK YOU for making a horrible situation so much better! I can't recommend Future Kia of Clovis strongly enough! read more

Whenever I call, I can hear the call connected as they lift up the phone receiver, then that brief clack of plastic you get when you hang up on someone. The service here is terrible, I had to pay almost 80$ for them to check if my left turn signal wasn't working ??? I told them I needed the socket and if they could fix it but they wanted to charge me more for a diagnostic to see what was wrong with my car after I told them ?? Also when I asked for my car back because I didn't want to pay for that they said they'd still have to charge me 40$ because they took it back to look at it. I'm so disappointed with Kia, it's the worst car, it has gotten broken into twice and stolen once, why make a car so easy to steal that all the have to do is bust open your wheel and push a button and my car is gone.
