I was on a friends' trip in Nashville and we stumbled upon this place. Our waiter Christopher was amazing and brought some fantastic energy. We sat at a picnic style table in the building. We were informed that food is delivered family style. They have forms that you fill out to place your order. You place the form at the end of the table when you are ready for waiter to put in your order. Also, they have card that you place in a holder if you need assistance. The only issue we had was when the runners brought our food out they did not call out the names we placed on our forms. Our waiter attempted to correct it but they still didn't do it. The names would have been helpful especially since some of ordered the same tacos and one of our friends has a shellfish allergy. The tacos were delicious. They are smaller but reasonably priced. The corn was tasty as well.

The food here is very very good. These are traditional street tacos, this is not your fast food hard shell tacos. We really liked the pork belly tacos, but all the tacos were good. Christopher was our server, nice guy on the top of his game. Their chips and guacamole are different from West coast chips, and it is a good thing.

My overall experience was great, sat at the bar, the bar tenders are super cool and attentive, the ambiance is SO cute, i had the honey dew agua Fresca 10/10!! I got the chips and salsa verde, also FIRE 10/10 i ordered 4 tacos and only 1 of the 4 were good, hence the 3 stars. The one that was delicious was the sesame one, but the carne asada, chicken tinga and the other chicken one, were honestly so underwhelming - i took one small bite of each and actually one of the bites (carne asada) i spit the bite back into a napkin. the pieces of steak were huge and rubbery. So disappointing so much food went to waste. And the overall flavors were very mid. was super bummed with the tacos but will come back for drinks and chips and salsa.

I loved the location of this restaurant, it was away from all the hustle and bustle and had a really chill vibe. My friends and I came for dinner and enjoyed everything thoroughly! There were two servers that were very friendly and gave us all kinds of cool suggestions of things to do in the neighborhood and they helped us select the most popular dishes from the menu. Everything was really good, the vibe was really chill and fun, the servers were very friendly. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. My friends and I were traveling so we took a Lyft to the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking around. The Restaurant has a very open feel. It's very large and has plenty of seating. We had an awesome table next to an open window. I'm not sure if I went. I'll return to Nashville, but I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody who is visiting.

This place was a little hard to find, but I recognized the firefly sign! We walked in and sat at the bar. Talia was our bartender/server. She was kind and causal. We got 4 tacos each, duck birria, & poke. My favorite was the duck taco and pork belly taco. They were the most juicy. The fish taco was fried and the ahi tuna taco was good but too sweet for me. I really liked the transparency here when we showed Talia a coupon and she said she didn't know and got her manager right away instead of asking extra questions. She was efficient and I appreciated her. I think the food and environment were very casual and cozy which I really liked! Def east Nashville vibes.

Came here for a birthday meal with husband and friends! It's literally been years since I have been to a Bartaco! CONSISTENT - Listen their guacamole is still one of the best around! So so good! Their "chips" are super unique/break your own tortillas into chip pieces!! I wasn't a huge fan of the salsas but everyone else loved them. MOCKTAIL/COCKTAIL - I got the ginger grapefruit mocktail and it was divine, highly recommend! Husband said the Margarita was good too! TACOS - My favorite was the cauliflower taco and I am not a raw cauliflower lover. The sauce was perfect! Order it as is. I said sauce on the side and just dipped it, but it was so good! Husbands favorite was (top) crispy pork closely followed by (next) duck! BLACK BEANS - this was a miss for me bc they were pretty flavorless. DESSERT - Free birthday key lime pie cup was phenomenal! Even if it's not your birthday ORDER IT! You wouldn't regret it! SERVICE - So great! I love the idea to put the card up so they know when to come check on you! So no one is hovering over you or never checking in! Love! Super great experience! AMBIANCE - love the boho decor, feels super cozy and upscale!

This was my first time going to Bar Taco on 05-07-26 and I got the Chicken Verde Tacos which had a good taste but the presentation of the food was terrible when I opened my box. It looked like they just threw my food everywhere and then one had less on it with NO lime ‍ on it either so I'm not sure if I will ever try it again.

If you're in Nashville and not eating at Bar Taco, you're doing it wrong. These tacos? Absolute perfection. Fresh, flavorful, and packed with everything you want in a bite. Every single one I tried was on point no weak links, just straight-up taco greatness. The vibe is cool and laid-back, making it the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy some top-tier eats. The staff? Super friendly they keep the good times rolling. And the margaritas? Dangerously smooth one sip, and suddenly you're ordering another round of tacos (not that you needed an excuse). It does get busy, and parking can be a gamble, but trust me it's worth it. Once you take that first bite, nothing else matters. If you love tacos, Bar Taco is a must. Go hungry, order everything, and thank me later : )

First time here but I will definitely be back. A little pricey, but the tacos (think fancy street tacos), chips and guacamole were all excellent. As was the salt margaritas. Fresh and interesting menu with many choices for hot sauce. Service was also very good, and attentive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options as well.

    - This is an absolute must try during your Nashville visit ! This unique flow of service accommodates a wide variety of parties. You could bring a family, a date, a group of girls, or a large gathering (although I'd call ahead, as they'd definitely need to push some tables together!) You could order using paper and pencil at the table, but the QR code provided allows for you to independently pick what you'd like with photos of each item and great descriptions. The prices are flexible , since everything is à la carte, you can decide how you want to create your meal. For a group of girls, we likely spent 12-20 per person and felt full and satisfied! Granted, we did not try any of the margaritas (next time though ). The green salsa as a starter was super flavorful and fresh, with a kick that was enjoyable and not overly spicy. My meat eating friends greatly enjoy the Baja tacos, and the pork belly! Personally, I tried the Brussel sprout taco and the cauliflower, as well as a side of the beans. I was super impressed by the usage of fresh ingredients and unique flavor profiles. The brussel sprout was paired with a sweet potato to be sweet and savory and fill your mouth with layers. The cauliflower tacos had a pistachio blend and some pomegranate seeds - sufficiently providing pops of sweetness and fun. You don't even care you aren't eating meat, I promise haha! Our service was also quick and helpful. It's good to note that their flow of service is that you will insert a card into a stand on your table to get the attention of a server, which is an adjustment from traditional USA dining where your server stops by often. Yet, that allows for uninterrupted service unless you want to be! I'll be returning here upon my next visit to Nashville FOR SURE!

The food was fresh, made to order and delicious. I loved it. My favorite taco was pork belly. The salsa and guacamole is delightful. The duck birria is a fave as well. You must try and tequila flight. Great service from Chase!

    Morgan H.

The place was a really cool vibe great for a first date and the service was excellent! The food was not the best, maybe it's what I ordered, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a taco place. The tacos were a nice size though.

    Assortment of tacos
    Michiel D.

Great place for fusion-flavored tacos in Nashville. We went there for an early lunch and were able to walk in and secure a lovely patio spot -- by the time we left the place was packed! We tried multiple tacos, including the roasted duck and pistachio cauliflower. All of them were tasty and none of them I wouldn't recommend. The only thing we didn't like was Bartaco's take on online ordering. You still get a paper menu and explanation by staff but initially can't order through them. When you have a question or an issue, you're asked to put an assistance card of a stand for personnel to see. Since we were international visitors, we couldn't order online and had to go through the process of trying, asking for more help, and ordering through the staff anyways.

When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

An open kitchen with a wood-burning grill sends heat and aroma across the floor, so the whole space feels alive and warm at once. The staff matched the setting, gracious and sharp from hello to goodbye. The food kept pace. The sausage and cheddar biscuits earn every word of their reputation, we could have made a meal of them. We ate family style, which is the move here, passing everything so the whole table got a taste. Tara's halibut was the runaway favorite, our server called it his top pick on the menu and he nailed it. The mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts vanished fast, and the tri-tip with spaghetti squash and the delmonico rounded out a generous spread.
