    Mixed Grill Wrap

Greek Cafe Grill is everything you want in a local spot - friendly, delicious, and affordable. They've been around for over 20 years, and it's easy to see why. The service is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. We ordered one mixed grill wrap and one gyro wrap - and while both were great, the gyro was the real star. It was massive and only $8.50, packed with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and creamy tzatziki. The flavors were spot on, and the portion was more than generous.

Delicious! They are very generous with the amount of meat. Chicken kabab made to order.

Nestled in the Green Hills community is Greek Cafe Grill, a restaurant serving some of the more authentic Greek food in the city. Greek Cafe Grill is a no frills restaurant with fast, friendly, and efficient service. Upon entering the restaurant, given it was my first time dining here, I must admit that I found myself to be a little confused on what to order. The menu was a little different than what was advertised on their website (I was able to grab a picture of their updated main menu). The staff was patient and I eventually settled on a classic- a beef schwerma platter. The platter comes with a good helping of rice, a small side salad, pita bread, and the schwerma itself. On top of both the salad and schwerma is a cucumber based dressing. The salad is also topped with feta cheese. Since I wanted to catch the Mavs playoff game, I quickly grabbed my food and returned home. I don't think I fully comprehended how much food I had gotten for ~$15 until I opened my to-go box. My first bite was the schwerma which was soft with a saltiness that complimented the spices and cucumber dressing added. The pita bread was perfectly warmed. The rice was fluffy with a subtle taste that paired well with the schwerma. The salad was just ok- which was totally fine since I hadn't come to this restaurant for the salad! I ultimately was only able to eat half of the dish and will save the rest for lunch tomorrow. 2 delicious meals for $15- great deal! I'll need to try out their lunch special and baklava soon!

I've been to Greek Cafe Grill a few times now, and it's consistently excellent. The food is fresh, flavorful, and portions are generous for the price. The lamb and gyro is one of the best I've had in Nashville! Passem is here every time I come and is so friendly and works very hard! Definitely recommend coming here!

Greek food is my FAVORITE so I am a bit picky but this place was only mediocre. I ordered the falafel wrap with pita and hummus. Actually, I ordered just a side of hummus but they misunderstood me and charged me $5 extra for the pita and hummus appetizer which I didn't realize until after I received my food because the receipt doesn't tell you what you ordered - just the amount. The pita bread was very fresh and soft and the hummus was spot on. The falafel wrap was also very good! I find that most falafels are very dry and these were not at all. However, they were not very crispy which was a little disappointing. Overall, I was very happy with the food. The restaurant itself is a bit cluttered. We ate there and every table was dirty and the parking situation is a bit tough since it is shared with a bunch of other stores. Tip - pay cash and get a 3% discount!

A quick, casual, and local spot for lunch that will fill you up! At first glance, this place looks hole in the wall and hard to tell if it was open until you see that the time falls within the hour of operations, a good sign that this place can be a hidden gem. I got the beef shawarma entree which has 4 pieces of pita bread, generous amounts of salad and rice, topped with a decent amount of beef, with some tzatiki sauce (optional, but recommended). It is a sizable portion and I'm happy because I was very hungry. Beef was marinated well and tender, but the dish itself can be a bit too salty and tangy, particularly the small bits of beef. The rest of the dish is fine aside from that, but it kinda didn't mix well. I also tried the fries my friend got and it was prepared very well, which is a great addition to a filling meal. One thing to note is that there is zero fine print in the check-in offer. I was looking forward to some baklava after showing I checked in on Yelp but they said "oh, this is only for the family meal" which is a bit weird.

I'd…read moresaved them in my Nashville bookmarks for some time after they received a lot of acclaim on Yelp - I believe at one time they were on a Yelp list of best restaurants in the US. We were certainly excited to try Uzbek food, as there's nowhere that serves it where we live. The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the outside and the parking lot is a little run down. However, the inside is very updated and super clean and comfortable. There's lots of seating, what appears to be a private room in the back, and some high-tech features, like a machine that you can use to alert waitstaff if you need a refill, a to-go box, or any other kind of attention. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Service was a little strange. I wouldn't say it was slow - every time we placed an order or had a request, our food or items were promptly brought out to us. However, the challenge came in getting the attention of our waitresses. Two ladies took care of us, alternating based on availability. One was very nice and friendly, the other a little gruff and irritable-seeming. But both were completely averse to coming in and checking on us without one of us flagging them down. Perhaps they're used to the little machines? I don't like using those because they come across as too demanding; I'd prefer to just be visited and checked in on from time to time by staff. Not so here. Despite not being very busy, our visit took a lot of time, even though the actual food service was fairly quick. Onto the food, the most important part. We ordered a lot because I wanted to experience as many unique dishes as possible. One waitress first brought out a complimentary serving of pita and what I believe was suzma, which the menu describes as a yogurt-based cheese. This was one of the highlights of our meal, actually, as the pita was hot, fresh, and very lightly charred. The suzma went very well with it. Then we ordered a chicken somsa and some Uzbek bread. The chicken somsa was alright; the pastry was delightfully flaky, but for me it was way too onion-forward. The Uzbek bread was another highlight. It was a temperature and textural delight - so warm and fluffy - if not a flavor bomb. It was great to polish off the remaining suzma from our complimentary treat. For entrees, my husband wanted to try the signature osh, while I ordered chicken shashlik. The osh was probably the better of the two but he didn't love it. It was quite greasy and the lamb was on the gamey side. My chicken shashlik had definitely been near charcoal too long; it had an overly-charred, unpleasant chemical-y taste. The accompanying rice had so much butter or oil in it that it was greasy, too, and although that imparted more flavor into it, I felt gross after a couple of bites. Everything was cooked well, just the flavors really didn't quite come together for us on this visit. It's hard for me to believe, given the average outstanding reviews and consistent praise this place gets, that our experience was an average one. Perhaps we just came on an off day or ordered the wrong things for our palates, since we're fairly unfamiliar with this cuisine. I would be willing to try again some day, but sadly our first visit didn't quite wow the way we'd hoped it would. I appreciate the clean and pretty environment and quickly prepared food!
