A few friends and I chose Doughbirds for a going away meal, and we enjoyed! The restaurant is spacious and well-lit. Great place for group dining. It wasn't very crowded, giving a relaxed vibe. There's free parking in the garage. Loved: service (very helpful, recommended my pizza); Spicy Hawaiian (nice balance of spicy and sweet) Like: rotisserie chicken; crispy chicken sandwich

Early evening stop in Green Hill area after another long day of work. We stopped at Doughbird for some pizza and a drink. I think of myself a a bit of a pizza guru. I have to say this pizza was nothing short of amazing. Crust was crisp, yet doughy. Toppings were just enough. You can tell this pizza was well thought through. Was much better than we expected. The bacon on The Aviator was amazing. A bit of a smoky flavor added to the pepperoni. We will absolutely come to this location again. I would rate the pizza an 8.7 out of 10. Very high score for a local pizza place here in the Nashville area. It was absolutely delicious! If you are on this side of Nashville, fly on into Doughbird. You will not be disappointed.

Met my wife here a while back for a date night out since we had a break from the action of work and my son was hanging out at his friend's house. We decided to hit Green Hills area since she works close by there. Here was our experience in a nutshell... Ambiance: Great corner location and dedicated parking in a covered garage with No charge (which is HUGE here). Restaurant is slightly more upscale than the rest and was clean. Service: I arrived early and asked about old fashions - to which I was told that during happy hour they were two for one...I asked what bourbon they used and she told me that it was jim beam so I asked if there was another choice l. She kindly replied that yes they had a house rye but it was a $3 up charge. I kindly accepted to get away from JB and sipped the nice flavor and taste the the rye had. and then ordered another after my bride showed up and ordered a wine and her pizza. Food: Food was average and honestly the portions we ran all considering the price...but hey it is Green Hills so there's that. Price: Heavy for a pizza and chicken place...additionally when the bill was brought out she charged 2 old fashioneds and the up charge making it a $17 Old Fashioned and didn't give me the 2-1 happy hour special - but didn't tell me when i asked about the up charge if that voided the deal..she just assumed i didn't care....not the greatest way to honor your advertising nor the customer in this regard. Summary: Skip the entrees maybe and opt for an appetizer and maybe a cocktail if you can go during happy Hour - otherwise I'd probably see myself at a more upfront establishment for the evening. Not bad but the flavor was lost on the non communication and small portions for the price - so for me value is under water here... But......Keep Munching Y'All!!!

Doughbird is a fantastic addition to the Green Hills dining scene adding a solid menu of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and course rotisserie chicken dishes! In addition to the tasty food, the interior has great vibes with lots of wood and industrial/art chic fixtures, leather seating, a beautiful bar and lots of perfectly planted and manicured greenery. Now, down to why we flew in to Doughbird, pun intended...we came for the dough, not the bird this time. A regular Spicy Hawaiian and Detroit Style Sausage and Mushroom were the choices and neither disappointed. Both were delicious, but the Detroit-style took it home, at least for me. Perfectly crispy edges, gooey cheese, and hearty toppings without being too dense and overwhelming. The Spicy Hawaiian had a great balance of sweet and heat, with just enough kick to make you raise an eyebrow. Pricing for the pies is a bit high for the size, but I chalked it up to the fresh and well mapped out toppings and cheese...at least that is what I tell myself. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails. The Bourbon and Bells was it! I had the summer sangria was great, looking forward to additional seasonal drinks as well. If you're familiar with this area, you know parking can be a pain, so the attached garage is definitely a plus. Service was friendly, though a bit slower than expected. We visited during off-peak hours and still had a wait, which was a little surprising. Overall, we really enjoyed Doughbird and are glad to have a location here in Nashville. Vibe was great, relaxed but modern and playful feel that makes it great for a casual meal or cocktail, or date spot.

Acoustics bounce a bit in this restaurant

This is located at a nice, upscale outdoor mall. It's right next to Anthropologie. The restaurant is across the street from the cafe where Taylor Swift used to play as a teen. Doughbird is quite popular, especially for large groups. It took a while for us to get our menus, as well as to get our food. The fried chicken I got had the perfect crunch and not oily or heavy. I felt the service was a bit slow, even though we went for an early dinner around 5pm. The waitress only came by once to refill our water. The high ceilings, hardwood floors, large windows and wood chairs made the acoustics horrible. It was very hard to hear the conversation from the person sitting 2 chairs away from me. We were a party of 5 so it wasn't a big table. I probably would go back but wouldn't be my go-to place.

Tried the Guac as a starter and it was very good. They added pickled jalapeño and vinegar tomatoes on the side. It truly complemented the flavor. My wife ate it, and she is not a huge Guac fan; so that says a lot for the Guac. Early evening Entrees were chicken parm and I had buffalo chicken sandwiches with fries. House made pickles on the sandwich were ok. Apple slaw was a good compliment to the buffalo chicken. Looks like they used the same breaded chicken that they use on the chicken parm for the buffalo chicken sandwich. Fries were good. Some very very hard and overcooked. Chicken parm was cooked well and the pasta was cooked well. One of my biggest pet peeves when out to dinner anywhere is keeping the drinks filled. No matter what it is, soda, tea, etc. That does not happen here. That would be my only negative take from this place. Other than that, we would definitely suggest checking out this place for lunch/brunch or dinner. They do have live music at night as well if that is your cup of tea. Pricing is a bit higher than some, so be aware that you may pay a little more to eat here, but the food is fresh and the menu is health conscious.

We should have had them keep their reservations and met them at the other restaurant. Arrived on time for our 5:15 reservations. Drink orders were taking and served within a couple minutes, then it all started to go sideways. After waiting about 20 minutes, our order was finally taken. Appetizers arrived cabout 10 minutes later which was a little long, but OK. At the time of order, we let our waiter now we needed to be out of there by 6:45 foot a movie, "shouldn't be a problem". Ends up taking about another 40 minutes to get our food, but not before the waiter comes back and let us know our order is coming up and we would like to have it to go? We decided to stay and eat. The four of us ordered Steak Frites, Ancient Grains Bowl w/Salmon, Market Salad and the Ahi Poke Bowl. The Poke Bowl was tiny, it tasted great but was so small I ended up ordering some fries. Fries came totally under done (like a couple of other reviews mentioned) Ancient Grains and Market Salad were very good too. Here's where the one star comes due to taking forever to receive our order and the Steak Frites being completely subpar. The steak was ordered, medium rare, it came well done. It also was a pretty bad piece of meat, difficult to cut through due to how recently it was. 3/4 of the steak ended up, going home and being fed to our pup. On top of that the fries were under done. When asked about it, the waiter said let me see what I can do. He came back with a 15% discount, basically the cost of the fries. It probably should have been the other way around a discount that took care of the bad steak and just pay for the fries. Probably won't be coming back on our next trip through the Nashville area, and I don't think our friends from Nashville will either. Too bad some of the food was good, but some of it was either bad was overpriced for what it was.

I selected the Kvarøy Arctic Salmon, while my wife chose the Springer Mountain Farms All-Natural Chicken. Both dishes exceeded expectations. The salmon was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. It rested on a bed of greens with a subtle lemon flavor that paired beautifully with the fish. The chicken was equally impressive--moist, tender, and packed with flavor. What stood out most was the incredible smoky aroma that hit before each bite, making it even more irresistible. For dessert, the Blackberry Lemon Bread Pudding was the perfect finish. Soft, warm, and bursting with flavor, it was a standout ending to an already exceptional meal. This place was a wonderful little experience. We were greeted with the sign outside, "Enter as Strangers and Leave as Friends," which is one of my life philosophies. We got there right at opening, so we got seated first along with one of their years-long regulars. A friendly local lady who provided us with pleasant conversation until the next patrons arrived, who were seated right next to us at the same table, family style. Then the next people, then the next. Sitting, talking, passing the food around the table. It was a nice experience. And the ambiance was nice, too. Plain, wooden chairs, white tile flooring, vintage holiday decor, it was like being in a grandma's house. Very comforting. The food came out one or two dishes at a time. Everything was good enough, but it also was apparent that it was mass produced in a catering style. The basics like the bacon and ham were very good, but the fried chicken, I wouldn't take a big piece, save your stomach room for other things. Whatever other things you grab, make sure you grab a biscuit and get ahold of their homemade peach preserves. That stuff was 10/10 excellent. It's so good, they jar it and sell it at the front desk. I totally recommend. Overall, breakfast is one of the most important meal of the day, so if you find yourself in Nashville, I would implore you to come and check out this city staple of over 30 years now.

Met a friend for lunch and started with the coffee and was rich and flavorful and so good that I enjoyed it without the accompanying cream/sugar. We decided to split the Harissa Caesar salad & Roasted Chicken Wrap. Both didn't quite reach the outstanding level, but were very good quality. I think there needed to be a bit more flavor for each. The salad was light, refreshing, and the olives really elevated it. The wrap's chicken was a bit too fatty in spots, well roasted, and yet needs seasoning or flavor. The cucumber yogurt was phenomenal! I definitely will return as there are other dishes that sound amazing!!
