What truly solidified that feeling was the unbelievable customer service, especially from Andrew, the manager who was there the night I visited. I went to cap off my birthday after a day at the parks, and in Orlando, not a lot of places are open that late, so I am so glad I ended up here! And even though we arrived at the tailend of their shift, the crew treated us like absolute royalty and with so much care. All the dishes were flavored to absolute perfection, the classic bartaco flavors but somehow elevated to a whole new level, and the customer service was something I will genuinely never forget. One of my favorite taco joints. We have been to several Florida locations and the one in Boulder, CO. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly wait staff is perfect for a great fresh squeezed margarita or cold can of beer. The outside patios have been great. The pork belly and fish tacos are my favorites with the triple dips and chips. I wish they would open one in St Lucie or Martin County, Florida. Our second time here, service is amazing, you can tell people really love and stand behind what they serve. It's a very comfortable bar, my only problem is the heat, I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to heat, but even the non spicy things were spicy. Although we did not get a drink the bar tender was making them with his heart and soul. They looked great. Our food was probably 4 out of 5. The tacos were stuffed and the meat portions was good. My carne asada beef was very dry. My chicken verde was very very good. No complaints on the Baja fish, sesame ribeye or the duck taco. The duck taco was by far the best. We did not feel rushed. We are never let down on Bartaco visits. We don't have them back home so we do search them out on trips. Because we aren't able to visit regularly we definitely overeat. I always recommend the carafe of Arnold Palmer. So refreshing. We literally get everything. My husband is obsessed with the cucumber salad... this visit it was extra spicy which he loved. I always get the guac... it is some of the best ever. And I love the quesadillas off of the kids menu... this time I added beans for extra protein. We tried almost all of the tacos. The pork belly is always my favorite. This time we also tried "new" flavors... carne asada and Yucatán shrimp along with the al pastor tacos. All of these were delightful. I was obsessed that you now can skip the tortilla and get your taco served in a lettuce bib. The Al pastor had SO much flavor. We had a great experience again at this Bart and Dr. Phillips. Tamra B. was extremely prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable with all the menu items and how to accommodate food sensitivities such as soy, gluten and dairy. My wife's chicken verde tacos, the roasted duck taco, and the campechano taco were all good; however, the standout was the chicken Verde tacos. my pork belly classic bowl was good and tasty. Do you know that Bartaco has transitioned to a non-fried brown rice base versus the previously very tasty fried cake white rice. This 'made the dish' in the past so I hope that they eventually bring it back in another season. The dish was still good; but, not epic as it was before. With 107° heat dome, sitting above Orlando and most of the US, the restaurant was still quite cold, which was very appreciated. I would recommend bringing in a light jacket if you have one handy. The music was quite loud so, in anticipation of this, we had noise canceling inserts to as a solution. It wasn't explained that you could order from the QR code or that you needed to place the sign up when you needed assistance. So that was frustrating. Someone in my party even said "wow someone bought all the baskets at Home Goods." The major thing that I didn't like was the ordering process. There were too many ways to order, via QR code, paper or with the waiter/waitress. The other thing I didnt like was the card method. Came in with my daughter while on our girls trip. This location is in a strip plaza so there's plenty of parking available. They weren't busy at all. When we walked in several staff members looked at us standing in the front waiting to be seated and greeted but took a while for the hostess to come over. Now, onto the food, everything was fantastic! My favorite was the pork belly taco; I could easily eat three of them. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and had a slight sweetness that made it irresistible. My second favorite was the Baja fish taco, featuring crispy battered cod, so good! We also tried the ceviche, which came with cod and shrimp, and it was incredibly fresh with the perfect balance of citrusy flavors. For drinks, we ordered the mint iced tea, which was only about $4 for a whole pitcher, enough to share among four people. It was so refreshing! My kids got their own tacos from the kids' menu and enjoyed their meal just as much as we did. Overall, Bartaco is a great spot for families! Stopped in for lunch! It was busy today a bit; I sat at the bar. I ordered the usual- salsa Rona and chips $3.50 and kimchi side and some cucumbers. Both sides for $7; finally I got a beef bow for 15 and a drink for $13. Definitely feeling hungry when I sat down now currently eating feeling kind of full. Every time I come here I get the beef bowl with kimchi and the pickled veggies on top of the rice; the rice always has a nice flavor and the pickled veggies and the kimchi and the beef together are perfect. If you haven't been here bartaco it's in the strip near Domu and the Publix across the street from the mocha tea. They've got great drinks and fun flavors. It's a favorite of mine. This is a good modern take on a lot of tacos. The one thing I didn't like was that the whole tables tacos came out on the same plate. This made it difficult to divide up to people, especially when you have a larger group. It is especially difficult when the vegetarian options are not separated. It can be as long or short of an experience as you make it for the most part-- you order via QR code, but the employees are happy to help out with any questions! They're always very kind upon greeting and can be flagged down using the little blue card at your table. If it's your first time here, make sure they know so you get the run down! Ordering: My cell service never works here so I'm grateful they've got WiFi to browse the menu! The ordering system also makes it super easy when you've got a big group-- no need to worry about Venmo-ing people since you can all make your own orders. You'll get your food in the order that it's made-- sometimes things take a bit longer than I'd like, but it's never too jarring. The Food: Don't miss their chips and salsa! Seriously, this is what keeps us coming back-- we are fans of both the red and the green salsa, and the chips are delicious too! We usually do a large trio and take home the leftovers to munch on the next day. I also love their lemonade and limeade. They're small but reasonably priced and made fresh! The tacos are pretty standard but small. I tried the Sinaloa Taco tonight and was a little disappointed-- the flavors were bland and the texture was off. But the fish taco was good as always! No waiting around for a server, and everything came out quickly. Amazing find! My husband and I were driving around the area and stumbled upon Bartaco, boy am I glad we did! Upon entering, we were immediately seated by the hostess. The restaurant has a cute beachy, relaxed vibe and they offer indoor or outdoor seating. Our server, Jill, came over shortly after we were seated and gave us a rundown of the menu and some drink recommendations. Jill recommended the eggnog martini, a holiday special, so I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint, delish! My husband tried the espresso martini, not on the menu, and he said it was well balanced, but did not feel like they were using a fresh pull of espresso. For food, we decided to try some appetizers and tacos. For appetizers, the duck birria and esquites were fantastic! The duck birria had a rich flavor and we could have absolutely had 5 orders, but we contained ourselves. One of the best taco dinners I've ever had! I sat at the bar since I was dining solo. The bartender was so friendly. He actually ended up ordering me one glazed pork belly taco and it ended up being my favorite even though I don't normally like pork unless it's Al Pastor. The glazed pork belly was sweet and savory and so yummy! I also ordered the spiced chicken verde which was my second favorite. It was tangy and fresh! The sesame ribeye is the only one I wouldn't order again. Don't get me wrong, it was good and unique. But a little too unique. it was a blend of Asian and Mexican and it just didn't quite work for my palate. I absolutely love this restaurant and am pleased to see they have one near me. We stopped at Bar Taco last night on our drive back home to Miami and had the loveliest experience! We sat on the patio with our dog, and our server Sam was an absolute angel! We had an amazing server (I believe her name was Paula) who explained everything very well, was on top of everything, and incredibly kind! We got chips, carne asada tacos, duck tacos, and fish tacos. My husband usually isn't a fish or duck person, yet really liked them! The carne asada was very yummy! We also got the churros which were amazing!
