Decided to go here after the corporate 5k race instead of staying near Lake Eola. It was pretty crowded when I came, but I ordered through the kiosk. I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown. read more

We were in the area for concert so we stopped by for dinner before head. The place is clean and easy to get to. We got lucky and got a parking on the side of the road. The decors are chic and very themed! Servers are friendly but we used the touchscreen machine to order. My hubby got the three tacos deal with chicken, pollo and pollo al pastor. The tacos are on the smaller side but for the price, well worth it. IMO the birria and philly cheese tacos were a bit bland, so I added the salsa and a lot of hot sauce when I got home. Went here after a show at Kia Center, luckily this place closes late and has good tacos. The pork al pastor and chicken both had good flavor and went well with the red salsa. It does get very busy at certain times, so I recommend ordering ahead to avoid long wait times. Overall, it's a good late night meal. read more

We tried this after searching Yelp for good tacos near us. In the pouring rain we were like , let's do it and walked in like soggy pups. There isn't a parking lot so you can street park or utilize a parking garage. Ambiance is really cute with inside seating. Wouldn't be good for large groups but 4-5 people each table would work. Service was standard, nothing extravagant or super friendly. You use iPads to order and then they bring it to you. First off, I love how you can order off a kiosk and you can customize everything. Sometimes when you order your food by saying it, doesn't convey what you're trying to say. I ordered the trio and it was absolutely perfect for the portion. I don't eat a whole lot, though, so it may not be enough for some. It was just under $10 for it and I would get it over and over again. I was with another person and they got tacos and they also enjoyed theirs. The atmosphere was that of a fast food/takeout restaurant, so nothing fancy or anything. It was clean, and that truly is all I care about. We ordered steak tacos and chicken rice bowls from delivery, so maybe it's different dining in. Everything completely lacked salt and seasoning, and even the green salsa did not offer the refreshing flavor you'd expect. The steak was also chewy and had no seasoning. I could always go for a margarita in a mason jar so it was a quick decision for me. The staff was helpful and directed me to the kiosk to place my order. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm and 10-12am. This is a great spot for late night happy hour. With these prices why would you go anywhere else? They have beer at $2.99 and margaritas at $3.99. You can order the margaritas on the rocks or frozen with a flavor shot of mango or strawberry. I decided to go with the frozen mango. It comes in this cool mason jar which I would like to take home with me if I could. It was strong and hit the spot. It was worth it for $3.99. Stopped by for a quick solo lunch, was greeted kindly and offered assistance if needed. Ordered on a screen at the counter which was super easy and allowed the customization I wanted. Food was brought to my table promptly and with a smile! Chicken taco didn't have any flavor even with salsa but carnitas tacos were delicious! Queso is addictive and with warm chips was perfect. There are a lot of good things to say about Tacos My Guey. The food and kiosk-based ordering system are amazing, but it does fall short in some areas, most of which cannot be helped. Starting with the food, the tacos trio was great. I have had some better tacos when I lived in Texas, but these are definitely at the top of my list so far in Orlando. The hot sauce also had some good kick to them. I got steak, carnitas, and chicken, which I believe were a nice combo. I was eyeing my friend's shrimp tacos though. They had an extra sauce to them that I think I will try next time I stop by. The birria flautas were also a great addition to the meal. These came with both birria drip and queso dip. The birria was decent, nothing to write home about, but the queso was a nice little addition that you typically don't see with birria tacos. It was an original twist on this old classic. One thing that didn't excite me about this establishment was the location. It was impossible to find parking downtown. Now, after a night out, I can see how it is a nice place to stop if you're walking home to your downtown apartment. However, during the day, get ready to walk a bit from your parking spot. I know the restaurant can't really help this, but it's worth mentioning. In terms of service, the kiosk-based ordering was great and convenient. The servers themselves were friendly, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, Tacos My Guey deserves about 15/20 Freys. The food was pretty decent, but its just hard to access this place. This is the type of place for people who want Mexican food but not real Mexican food. I actually came here because someone told me they had a good pineapple Agua Fresca and since we just finished walking around lake Eola, why not stop walk to here as well. We ordered chips and salsa, a pineapple Agua Fresca, an assortment of tacos and a shrimp burrito. The pineapple Agua Fresca was weak in pineapple flavor and sweetness. The free chips and salsa at your standard Tex Mex place is way better than what you have to pay for here. I RARELY ever add salt to foods when I go out to eat but I had to add salt and both my burrito's and chip's salsa to my burrito which was bland and lacked any type of seasoning. Also I guess I shouldn't have assumed I would get grilled shrimp because it seemed like I got pre-breaded fried shrimp in the burrito. I didn't try and of the tacos but were told they were just ok. Tacos My Guey is still a good little taco spot in downtown Orlando. I typically go here over a handful of other taco spots downtown and I'm rarely to never disappointed. Service is quick - even during their busiest times. The staff is still super kind and helpful. And most importantly, the food is still just as good as my first time visiting them. It is cozy in here, but honestly what taco spot isn't!?! They all tend to be small and quaint but as long as the food is good, that's all that matters. Also, the price point is great! They have a good lunch special - which I take advantage of when I visit them on my lunch break during the work week and they offer just a wide selection of options - which I appreciate. Though, I'm a creature of habit and get the same chicken tacos, I do also enjoy their birria tacos, their tostadas, their bowls and a plethora of their sides. Also, I LOVE the desserts!! I picked tacos al pastor and one steak taco with their agua de Jamaica. I loved their aguas because they were too sweet! Both flavors of tacos had great flavor and their salsa with chips was amazing. We also ordered a bowl to try with Al pastor which I also really enjoyed. They do sell margs and have a self serviced menu. Service was great but l enjoyed being able to order on my own. Wanting to grab a quick dinner that had gluten free options before going to a concert at the Kia Center in downtown Orlando, my wife found Tacos My Guey on North Orange. The synergy of delicious tacos and frozen margaritas allowed for a magical experience where we easily self ordered on the screen, had both our drinks and food within minutes, enjoyed ourselves while surrounded by Tex-Mex skull artwork, and had our tables cleared by the friendly staff before we set off quickly to our main destination. For my money, the Birria tacos was the bees knees. While I have gotten gluten free, I treated myself to the flour tortillas, which were deeply satisfying with the Birria gravy that I dunked with glee. My wife loved her tacos with the corn (gluten free) tortillas, despite struggling with brain freeze from her traditional frozen margarita. I myself didn't suffer from that as my mango margarita was lovely. But I too experienced the brain freeze when helping her finish her margarita. Had dinner there last night with some local foodie friends and we had a great time. I tried some of their vegan tacos (even though I am not a vegan) and they were tasty and the Tinga Taco was my favorite of the two I tried. But let me just say that their Frozen Margaritas (which I am ALL ABOUT) were delicious. I had the Strawberry Mango one and it paired perfectly with their Quesabirria which is a combo of birria and a quesadilla together and I thought it was fantastic! But the deliciousness didn't stop there because they even offer dessert so I had to try the Cheesecake Chimichanga, Strawbery & Nutella Chimichanga and the Churros. Each dessert was lightly fried and came with ice cream on the side which made it a nice way to end the evening. Overall the food was great, the level of service was excellent and I will most definitely be back to try more things on the menu. Just as an FYI, if you go after 6pm the parking on the street in downtown is free so that works perfectly for dinner or you have to pay the meter if you go earlier.
