I was in the area for a dental hygiene conference and one of my patients who lived in this area told me that I MUST try this place out before heading back to FL. I'm so glad I did! I went came around 3pm on a Saturday and thankfully it wasn't too busy, however I decided to order for take out since I had to get back to my Airbnb. It's pretty spacious and they have a lot of tables, plenty of parking on the plaza. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I had no idea what to get but decided to go with the 2 meats and went with the chopped brisket and chicken breast, both wow so delicious. For my sides I went with the carrots and Mac & cheese. I was told by the staff that the carrots is one of their best and they did not lie! Even if you're not a carrots fan, wow they're soo good! I love Mac and cheese so of course I had to try theirs. I just have to say writing this review is making me upset knowing I can't have this again until I go visit Texas again.. Wah I definitely recommend any local or tourist in the area if you're looking for a great bbq place, I know when I come back I'll be going back!

Grapevine, like the whole metroplex has become inundated with barbecue restaurants, and I have pretty much tried them all. Bartley's, a Grapevine original, is and has remained one of the best. Todays special was a Sandwich Plate, with 2 sides, for $8.99. You can choose any meat but their Chicken Breast is what's up! With it, I ordered fries and peach cobbler. Yum! The service at Bartley's is always great! Friendly folks serving up great food, what is not to like about that? The interior is pretty classical Texas barbecue joint. Nothing overly fancy, just wood and brick and a few horns hanging on the wall. It makes for a comfortable and down home ambiance to enjoy your meal.

We dine here frequently, last time was a week or so ago, just now getting around to doing the review! Let me start by saying we love Bartleys! While virtually everybody else charges (for barbecue) by the half pound, Bartley still charges by the pound... and their pound prices are typically less than everybody else half pound price! I also like that Bartleys has jalapeño cheese, hot sausage, which I cannot find in several other places. All of their sides are very good, the only thing that's missing is ice cream. Unfortunately, they are popular and the line, sometimes is long and moves slowly. But once you get to where you can order, they do an excellent job! They are located inside of a strip shopping center and are not open on Mondays. The interior is rustic, which fits with what they're doing. However, it's clean and well-maintained! It is hands down, my favorite barbecue place! If you want the best value you can possibly get for barbecue this is where you should go!

Catfish dinner and three meat plate

When we pulled up to the Resturant there was a large family who had just eaten and said "get ready for a great dinner". This got us excited. The employees working the line were welcoming and obviously enjoyed being at work and serving their customers. The smell when you walked was amazing! The food on the line all looked fresh and they had a nice variety of sides. My husband got the three meat plate which comes with two sides and a roll. For under $15.00 it was a great value. I had the catfish basket served on Fridays only for $12.99. It is served with fries, hush puppies, and two sides. The catfish was absolutely delish. It came out piping hot, and the tarter sauce was also great. The fries unfortunately were pretty soggy. I did not eat them, and would ask to sub one of the sides from the line next time. Overall, this is a fantastic place for a filling value dinner. We both had enough to bring home leftovers for another meal.

Very modest restaurant, but clean and the food was very good. In the top 5 of our BBQ favorites. We will be back.

I will say we atleast liked the atmosphere and ambiance better at 1845 than we did at Rustico. But it was more of the same- incredibly overpriced BLAND food. Not at all worth the price you're paying, severely lacking in flavor, and takes waaaaay Too long to be delivered to your table after ordering. We started with the Texas Trio and we did enjoy that. It is kind of hard to mess up queso, salsa and pimento cheese- however we did say that was one thing we would eat again and was worth its value. My husband and other son bothe ordered cheeseburgers at $22 a pop and both said the burger they get at local pint was a million times better and a lil cheaper. I got the smothered chicken and It was very disappointing! The chicken was so bland it was like a notch above school cafeteria food (seriously) I swapped the rice for mashed potatoes and they were good (not great but good) and the Brussels sprouts which were really tasty but VERY small Portion for price. I've eaten at incredibly high end steak places that charge the same For a side of sprouts and give you more than double what I got tonight at 1845. The birthday boy got a strip steak and potatoes and he gave each of us a bite. $49 for this steak- a good size- but NO FLAVOR at all. All in all, we are baffled by the good reviews. And very very surprised at the quality of product and price point considering Marty Bs coffee has AMAZING food quality and pricing and so does the restaurant, just doesn't seem to be translating to the other establishments. :-(

I tried the strawberry lemonade for the first time and it wasn't very good. It was tart and not sweet. On the half and half side of fries and onion rings they only give you two onion rings. That's not half and half. It's nice to be able to sit outside or inside. Overall it's a nice place to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

I can see how others would want to come and enjoy the space. They also have a cool alcoholic drink menu, though I didn't try these. Now why the 2 stars? The food. Very below-average wagyu sliders. Flavorless. Dry. No smoked, grilled, grease, butter, salt, pepper flavor. I couldn't make out a single flavor in the meat patty. Sauce has a zing, that at least adds a level of flavor on the burger. The chicken slider was good. The larger issue is that if our sliders, a couple of them were more "pink" than we'd have liked. Beef is fine when not cooked well, so we let this go. However, one of our burgers was extremely pink, like not-safe-to-eat pink. At this point, we just decided to end our experience early rather than hanging out. The fries weren't great, the sweet potato fries were a total miss. Overall, bland, uncooked, flavorless food in a building that's been well-designed & decorated. A lot of missed potential.
