They promptly returned my call and gave us some options for our budget. We made an appointment in person with Char to discuss the verbiage and layout. She is such a pleasant person and we enjoyed chatting with her. She showed us a new mock-up a couple weeks later and it was exactly what we wanted. It got installed at the cemetery about 6 weeks later. We were impressed that Debbie and Char emailed us a photo of the finished stone before it got installed. It is a stunning memorial, very classy. The storefront of Jobst is cheerful and bright. There are a ton of yard decorations and stones. Everyone is very helpful and excellent customer service overall.

However our neighbors were doing a construction project as well that caused us to have to hold off on our project until this year. Salvador came back out, adjusted the original plan to account for the work the neighbors had done, and ultimately provided us with the back yard of our dreams. It was completely worth the investment and worth waiting for. Salvador, Maria, and the crew were great to work with from beginning to end. Salvador is creative in his designs and very knowledgeable about the plants he brought in. He and the crew were dependable and did really great work for us. Highly recommend.

Kapsa Monument Co did a beautiful monument for me and my late husband a few years ago and placed it…read morein a Hillside cemetery. The monument has a vase on each side. Recently one of the vases has become loose. I've tried to reach out to Kapsa a few times. No one ever answers the phone. I've left 3 messages in over a week and half stating my issue and asked for the favor of a reply. I've yet to hear back from Kapsa. This monument wasn't cheap. I've reached out to two other monument companies in the area in the meantime and they are willing to help but say Kapsa should stand behind their business and take care of this. If they can or can't, either way the courtesy of a reply is expected for such an expensive monument. I can't rate them good in the service area as they are non responsive.

Buyer beware. This place is absolutely awful. They will screw you on the contract and they are very…read moredisrespectful. They will intentionally and purposely omit IMPORTANT and KEY things from the contract, and this can screw you in the end. When I caught these items, owner refused to correct them. Here they are: 1.) They verbally said that ALL inscriptions and design are included in the price, but when you get the contract it does not say this, and when you ask the owner to add, he refuses. Don't ever sign the contract unless they clearly write in text that ALL inscriptions and design are included in the headstone price, just like they verbally say. 2.) Draft of the drawing, design, and inscriptions was not attached. How else will you know what the heck you are getting?!?!? Don't accept without this! 3.) Full names of the deceased were omitted. This contract is also combined into the application for the cemetery. Are we just trying to get the cemetery office to guess? 4.) Memorialist didn't sign the cemetery contract on the back, which is required before you can even place any headstone in the cemetery. The cemetery has its own rules which we all have to agree to. We don't own the cemetery. These are all normal procedures for all cemeteries. 5.) Approximate date of delivery was missing. You can't just put a season like spring or summer. The owner was very disrespectful. When trying to resolve this in a calm manner, he talked over me. I tried talking to the owner nicely on the phone, but all he did was hang up on me. Avoid this business, and go to others in the area that will: actually put in writing what they say verbally, are willing to actually fill out a contract completely, and treat you with respect. After all, if you are paying them thousands of dollars for a headstone, I would think that you would at least have the above taken care of. This place is absolutely awful. STAY AWAY.

They are highly skilled of course, super friendly, fast, and most importantly had great communication. From my experience this is where contractor relationships most often break down. They made it a point to make me feel comfortable about the work being done since I wasn't going to be home that day. EQT went above my expectations. There was one spot on the stonework where we were filling a large hole and I said it's okay to just fill it with mortar, but like a magician Jerry produced the perfect stone brick from somewhere and made it look original. It was going to be behind a mailbox anyway but he wanted it to look right in case we changed it later. They also found a few more issues that weren't discussed and just took care of them without changing the price. It was a pleasure to work with them and they are definitely going on my list of primo contractors.

I had them come re-sand and reseal, and the sand filled in is falling apart on one side of my patio as well as the edges in only a few months. They came a second time to try to fix it. Told them to let me know when they come because I want to be there whey they start so I can see what they're doing. I did not trust they were doing it well. They came out but didn't let me know and only after they had started, they came to me. That pissed me off, because I explicitely told them to wait until I am outside with them because of that and that I had questions. That request was blatantly ignored. Now about a couple months later, that sand is falling between the cracks and soft to the touch, I can literally compress it with my finger and I now have sand missing between cracks all over the place on one side of my patio again. There's no way they sealed that because that sand wouldn't be soft to the touch and able to compress with your finger! It's not only soft, they don't even put enough sand in it let alone forget to seal the damn thing. The second time they came out, they try to blame it on water, as if I'm an idiot (sure after a few months I expect this to all fall apart). There's nothing that would cause this. Regular rain shouldn't cause a $2k+ job to fail after a few months. The prior company who sanded this patio, the sand was not falling apart like this anywhere. Even after 5 years. Now I'm going to have to refill that sand and fix this myself. Maybe learned a lesson, just do this stuff yourself. Do it right the first time and you won't have reviews like this. Or customers that annoy you because you can't do your job well. They claim "warranties to match our underrepresented workmanship!". What warranty? I got no warranty and even when they come to fix the mess up, it still falls down. Anyone gets rain, even down pours. It's very clear what areas they did not do properly because the rest of the patio is holding ok. I expect a job to last a few years not a few months. Rain and nature happen, we expect this to hold up at least on average 3-5 years. I'm just going to seriously go back to Menards, there's a mexican guy there who knows a lot about this, and he's told me how I can just fix it myself and save money. He explained the different sealants, etc. and the pros and cons. That's exactly what I am going to do. No more hiring people for this. The ants are even crawling into the cracks now. Good times, right before it starts getting cold outside. So glad I have to spend a couple hours fixing this sh** now. I don't normally go out and rant like this but any moron can see this is not done right. This is a long overdue review which I hate to leave but don't know what else to do…read more We had our both our driveway and garage floor completely replaced in May 2021. Not a cheap job by any means. All looked nice at first but within 2 years, parts of both started showing signs of cracking and spalling. My husband called them back out to see what could be done and were told they couldn't do anything except replace the whole thing again? The explanation is the weather in Chicago is the reason. By the third year, the area where the garage floor meets the concrete driveway and parts of the driveway are crumbling. I didn't expect any of this within the first few years.. and I don't see other newer driveways in my neighborhood with this issue. Something was wrong with what they used or how they mixed their product. Now, water seeps into the garage through the cracks at winter time. It's extremely upsetting and each year that goes by, I get more upset. More and more crumbling. I wish they had better options for us or could do something without charging us for a full redo. Please make this right.
