I really don't drink that much or often, but decided to have one. The drink list is extensive, but very organized by era. I decided to go for the Zombie. My server, Noah encouraged my audacity! I can't remember whether it was described as dramatic as it showed up, but let me tell you there was drama! It was served in a flaming skull, garnished with beautiful flowers and fresh fruit, and filled to the brim with God knows how much alcohol and juice, but it was a time! To heighten the experience, he sprinkled something in a shaker and the flames just erupted! The whole restaurant stopped and I cackled! To put out the flame, Noah gave one dramatic clap, and the flame disappear disappeared! I want to thank Noah and the team for encouraging my ridiculousness and delivering me an excellent craft drink with all the drama I deserved and could ever ask for! 10/10! There seems to be a drink for every palate. If alcohol isn't your thing, they have mocktails. The ambiance was nice. The lights were warm and low. Old movies played on the wall from a projector. Walls are lined with vintage books. Overall, I think this is a cool place. I look forward to returning.

I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

We also ended up ordering the sliders to go along as we had dinner reservations, and that bacon jam on there is magnificent. The sliders were all juicy and very well put together bun was very soft and the flavor of everything was really good. I would totally go back just for the sliders. Overall the service was great. The views were also quite stunning of downtown and the ambience overall which is very chill. The front part of the bar was actually closed due to a private event so I can imagine getting to take photos on that corner would be really pretty to see.

Alright, there is a pink haired waitress there but this is not directed towards her but her loser boyfriend -- Some crackhead biker looking dude with a handle bar mustache who looks like 3rd grade would be a challenge for him. I am with with a male friend of mine and a female friend of mine...my female friend offers to go inside and buy us a round of beers...when she does, this jackass that is sitting at the bar that I mentioned grabs one of the beers and starts to drink it and is very rude to my friend...she comes out to tell us so we go inside and I grab the beer the guy stole and handed it to the bartender and told him to pour it out and told the guy not to act that way towards my friend, and we go outside...the guy later comes outside and tells me that he would kill me if I ever did that again...as much as I wanted to slam this guys head into the concrete, I restrained myself and said whatever...I am not going to jail over this douchebag...We go back inside to pay our tab and everyone in the bar is talking about what a loser this guy is...the staff did nothing even though it was obvious this guy should have been kicked out. So I frequent this place quite often as it is located rather close to my house. The beer is cheap and this being so if I get too drunk it isn't a problem for me to just walk home. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are dollar beer night, and you can' t argue with that. It's usually pretty crowded so it's hard to get the bartenders attention unless you have huge boobs, (lucky me). I like it because it's not too yuppie like all the other places downtown. The people there aren't out to impress they are their to have a good time. Sure you'll spot the occasional dude-bra and sorostitute stumbling in, but its hard to avoid those sorts. It's got video bowling which I completely own at, and I'm known for winning many drinks with my impeccable score. Most racist bar in Austin! Beat a cow boy at pool who was on the table for atleast an hour. Sore looser instead of letting my friend play who who is black hr made a big deal and he was racist and wanted to play me agian saying some crazy things. 7 guys attacked me that worked there and kicked me out for winning and took my beer to let the cow boy play again. instead of my friend who was next . One worker picked me up and tried to littarlly toss me out for winning and anther threw a punch at me outside. Grew up in that nieborhood half my life when I was younger and never seen staff like this so sad. I love the weekly witticisms on your sign out front, especially the one for this week. Terrifying and under-punished crimes like stalking are hilarious! I would tell you some personal stories about how stalking (AKA love) affected people I know (some of them are dead now. Isn't that a hoot?), but I think you've been sufficiently amused. For those who haven't seen it, the sign reads, "You call it stalking, I call it love." The mentality behind jokes of that sort is so base and so ignorant, I would never set foot in this establishment. I dig this place in a big way. First of all, Jimmy LeMond (proprietor) is the perfect type. Always willing to listen or share a story or raunchy joke. He allowed me and my cohorts to post up on Superbowl Sunday with our bounty of food, even allowing us the use of the grill outside his bar. Needless to say, goodtimes were had by all. Great location and great staff. Take care of them and they will take care of you. Belly up with your friends--let your inhibitions go--and an orgy of drunkiness will ensue. I went there last month and my wallet was stolen by a guy with red beard and shaved head. He rides a white bike, 35-38 yr old white male. Not only did he try and use every single one of my credit cards but he tried to get 4 car loans which brought my credit score down 75 points the very next day. Vegas To Reno which had gin, yellow chartreuse, elder flower, grapefruit juice, cranberry, lime, soda. Mostly chilled out in the rooftop portion because although there are plenty of windows and open spaces on the other floors, it was still hot. The rooftop has not enough seating. So when it's packed you'll be standing. There's some seats in the middle, and some high tops scattered around the place. Not sure what the food taste like but how great can bar food really be? Happy hour goes until 7pm. I wouldn't rush over to experience it. It's basically just a dollar off of things. I'm sure there is an elevator somewhere in the place but didn't see it. It was pretty empty on a Sunday evening, which made it feel like we had the whole bar to ourselves. The place was pretty dark, and they had a pool table and darts available to use. There's no menu, so we just ordered at the bar. A pineapple cider and an Old Fashioned on tap came out to $15 total, and both were better than we expected at that price. It's not our usual vibe, but we had a good time hanging with our friends there.

They were spinning some popular tunes. The place was packed with a very fun crowd. It appears to be a bar you come to have drinks and chat. There was a small area where dancing could take place, but no one was dancing at the time. The staff including the general manager was super friendly. It felt like a wedding reception as you came into the club where you were greeted...very warm and welcoming. We had a drink and stayed a short while. You walk in and immediately know you are not in some polished Instagram cocktail lounge. It is loud, a little gritty, and full of people who are clearly there to have a good time and not pretend otherwise. The beer is cold, the Lone Star flows like Texas water, and the vibe is pure old school Austin. And yes, the legendary bathroom situation deserves its own paragraph. The men's room features a giant ice filled trough for a urinal, which feels like something out of a 1970s roadside saloon documentary. Somehow it is both ridiculous and perfectly on brand. It actually becomes a conversation starter because you walk out laughing and immediately tell your friends they have to see it and go pee. The crowd was friendly, the bartenders were quick with the beers, and nobody was taking themselves too seriously. I ended up staying longer than planned, drinking Lone Stars and talking to random people like we had known each other for years. If you want craft cocktails served with a rosemary sprig this is not your place. If you want a hilarious, slightly chaotic, authentically divey night in Austin with cheap beer and great stories, Dirty Bill's absolutely delivers. Five stars and I would go back in a heartbeat.
