The tailor personally attended me and quoted me $25 for each ($50 for both). I accepted and left it with her. Despite Aviva's good reviews on YELP, I left disappointed with the quoted high price. First impressions are important! I do not plan to go back there.

While he did a good job, each skirt was $60 to shorten each skirt a few inches, AND it was done by machine. Both he and Heather were very nice, but I thought at the time that was excessive. I didn't do my research and check other alternatives in the area. $60 to shorten each a couple of inches on the machine, maybe 15 minutes maximum....(1 picture of hem from the underside, it's going vertical 4 some reason, the other one what u can see from the outside, going horizontal....) The machine did do a good job, but $120 for 2 skirts on a machine is excessive.... So after I read Neewin's response, I brought in another garment to hem and get taken in. He couldn't have bn more cordial about it, and, surprised me by having it ready the very next day, instead of 5 days later. Good business. I will definitely be bringing my alterations back to him.

I contacted many other establishments but they quoted me very highly or would not have been able to get to my ideal turn-around time for my rushed order. Same-day pick up for hemming a pair of sweatpants came out to $20 which was a great price for the quality and speed (I only had to wait 15 minutes in my car for my pants to be ready). Each and every visit I get consistent and friendly engagement from Milt & Edie's employees. I truly appreciate that! They are fast, efficient, and open long hours. Any dry cleaning, or alterations I request are ready before promised. Turn around time is impressive. They have a good amount of staff on premises around the clock. There is a reason they have been in business so long, and have a loyal customer base....Consistency One thing to note is they are more expensive in comparison to other dry cleaners. However, Milt & Edie's is located in a high traffic, nice area that is quite expensive real estate. Also they employ a large number of employees with some days open 24/7. That results in a premium rate for location, shop hours and quick turn around time. Like the saying goes, "you get what you pay for", at Milt & Edie's you get fast and quality service, great customer care, with convenient location and extended hours. I have seen 20% off coupons for M&E on the back of the local Vons store receipts. Those on a budget, or use them frequently, these are a good coupons to look for and retain. The person on the phone was great, answered my questions and said to come in person, so I did. In the store, they would NOT listen to me. I was asked if I wanted different services than the ones I repeatedly said I wanted. They kept encouraging me to make alterations I was CLEAR I didn't want.
