I was previously going to Sunkissed Salon and was not able to get an appointment that worked for me with my original hairstylist, but the owner recommended me to Priscilla because had previously worked there and she is great as well. She is located at Base Salon in the Willow Glen area - they are in a strip plaza with plenty of parking in the neighborhood. You may make an appointment online, but make sure it is accepted / approved, so the best way to make an appointment is through text - she is very responsive to texts. I am selective and skeptical on who does / touches my hair because I had a handful of horrible hairstylists who messed up my hair in the past. Anyway, I made my first appointment with Priscilla almost 2 years ago and I am happy to finally be back - she did wonders for my hair and always made sure her clients are happy with their end result, or she will fix it. On my first visit with Priscilla, I came to her only a month after I had my hair done at another spot - my hair was poorly dyed, damaged, and already brassy from the other spot, so I was a bit nervous. Priscilla is friendly and pleasant to converse with, and she is honest about what she could and could not do as well. She makes me feel so at ease in the chair that I trust her and do not worry about the end result, so now when I come see her, I do not feel anxious or nervous at all like how I always feel at most of my hair appointments with other hairstylists. The biggest thing is she listens to what you like / want and gives you recommendations based on that, then tries her best to recreate your vision - she is one of the very few hairstylists I had (and I went though at least a dozen) Out of convenience and timing, I had been going to other salons that were closer to me to do / touch-up my hair in the past 2 years. Obviously, it was a mistake to choose convenience and go to those other spots - they were decent and not bad, but they definitely did not do as great a job as Priscilla does, so it is definitely worth it to make a trip down here (even though it takes me almost an hour to drive down here and over an hour, during traffic hours). My schedule often clash and sometimes, it may be a bit difficult and stressful to work around, as my free days / times are a bit last minute and random. Also, for my second visit - I made an appointment online for first available appointment because of my busy schedule and it was the only day / time that worked for me and it was with Priscilla's assistant, Chuc. She does a good job as well, as she was assisting Priscilla with my hair on my first original visit two years ago, so I was not too worried, but I originally wanted Priscilla because I started off with her. Anyway, I went about my day and I shortly received a text from Priscilla about it (like she read my mind, lol) and she gave me a list of her appointment availabilities, which included a lot more available dates for her returning clients, so I was able to book with her at a time that worked for me, which I appreciated. read more

I think I heard her talk to her assistant about formulas so it seems like she keeps a record of what was previously used on your hair so she knows what she needs to do to achieve the look you want the next time you come in. I was too lazy to drive all the way to San Jose for a hair appointment so I opt for someone closer to me and I regret it. I asked for babylights but the finish product looked very one dimensional. Priscilla is the bomb. I came to her with virgin hair in 2017 and have been going to her since. She's honest about what she can or can't do for you but trust the process and you'll get to where you want to be. It took me a like 2-3 sessions until I started getting as light as I wanted to be. I found Priscilla on Instagram after my hair appointment with another salon fell through. I decided to try Honey Studio because the photos looked very similar to the color I was trying to achieve. Priscilla was very responsive and flexible to getting me my appointment. I went with her suggestion to fix my hair color after it had grew out from the pandemic. I was hesitant on coloring my hair again, because so much of my hair fell out after my last coloring session at a different salon, but I'm so glad I decided to go for it! My experience at the salon was really great. Priscilla and her assistant were both very friendly and made me feel very comfortable (covid safety).
