I had an amazing experience with Emmy. From the moment I sat in her chair, she took the time to really listen to what I wanted. She asked thoughtful questions to make sure she fully understood my vision and even offered helpful suggestions that made the final result even better. Wanted to update my review because after i spent time processing everything, im just baffled. do want to note that they give discounts off their products if you leave a review on yelp. do with what you will with that info. i was super excited to get my hair done considering all the good things i've heard about this salon and was even referred to this salon by another hair artist, however i cannot justify the price of it. i was charged nearly $900 ($885 to be exact, quoted $500) for highlights that were poorly toned and were literally yellow and green? i had also came t this salon for clip on extensions. they had informed they would help me order a set the day after my appointment but never once called me or anything. i had reached out to the salon to let them know i was unhappy with my color and ofc as usual they wanted me to drop another $120 just to tone my hair. decided to just go to salons centric and tone my hair myself and honestly came out so much better than the actual service first pic is what i left with and second pic is after I HAD TO TONE MY OWN HAIR (also want to note they charge for a bowl of toner for all appointments even if it's ur first service). does that first pic look work $800? i think not. read more

The absolute best. I can't recommend The Studio Los Gatos enough. It can be so difficult to find the right salon and after a long search, I've found the one for me. Sahiann is amazing. My first visit was for a layered haircut and it turned out so good. She completely restyled me. She had an assistant during this appointment who was also shadowing. The way Sahiann explained her techniques and the reasons behind choosing one technique over another showed a lot of expertise and reassured me that I was in good hands. Best haircut I've ever gotten. Just came back for some color. I have black hair and wanted a chocolate brown situation, which means I needed a serious color lift. Sahiann lifted the darkness and kept my hair protected. Her knowledge of color theory is also impressive. I overheard her explaining how she mixed all the different browns to create the color for my hair to another stylist and was again reassured that it was going to turn out great. Incredibly unprofessional group of individuals. Last minute cancellations, setting you up with people who are not experts in your request, and sending unprofessional text messages. I would never recommend this place to anyone. In a saturated market, especially in Los Gatos, The Studio should not be a reflection of a city and town I dearly love. They should be ashamed of how they conduct business. The response I received from Seth, is false, baseless and full of lies. Never have I called The Studio, or yelled or abused service workers. I sent a message informing that I have found a new place to work with, after they cancelled my hair appointment, referred me to an employee with no experience with my hair type, and failed to provide me with examples of their work. After expressing that I appreciate their efforts, I have found a new place to go to, I received derogatory texts. Now, his response having false claims, and no proof. Is absolutely disgusting. Shame on you Seth. As a husband, you want your partner feeling confident and beautiful, especially when she is wanting to book a hair appointment. You want to be able to support and ensure she is comfortable as possible when going to a new place. It is very disappointing that after The Studio LG cancelled her hair appointment, proceeded to act unprofessionally, and make fun of her name... When she expressed gratitude and saying she found a stylist that fit her needs better... Its even more disappointing that I have to hear from my partner "what did I do them? Why are they being so mean? I thought I was very nice to them". In no shape or form did we act the way that Seth claims, and its even more disgusting that he would lie like this. Seems like Seth and team are bullies. Seth, jokes are meant to be funny. Not attacks on a persons name. Especially when the potential customer is declining business. Its comical that you mention you're service workers dealing with customers who have treated you poorly, but here you're being service workers treating customers poorly. Odd that you say you're trying to be funny, when you're saying "Bye. Felicia" to my wife, who tried to make accommodations with your team, sent photos, discussed her whole hair process.. yet you sent her someone who wasnt even a blonde specialist. As I understand individuals get sick and we do not control that, we do control how we treat one another. You as a business owner control when your team makes tasteless jokes and hurt people. You don't appreciate when customers treat your team poorly, I do not appreciate it when your team treats my wife poorly. read more

I came to Emmy at The Studio in absolute hair distress after my former hairdresser left me with the complete opposite of what I asked for--I wanted light brown dimensions to blend beautifully with my natural brunette, and instead ended up with the most horrendous bleached blonde streaks (seriously, it was a nightmare). I am OBSESSED. Shayla saved my hair from the grown out dye to a whole new look and it's glowing. I had simple instructions to color it brown and trim it up and she went above and beyond as you can see. Service & Ambience: 5/5 It was my first time at The Studio and I was greeted and seated as soon as I came in. Was given a robe and then led to the station. This place is beautiful and water/coffee/tea is complimentary. Clean and also very spacious. Coloring & Trim 5/5 This took approximately 2-2.5 hrs for the whole process. Started off with some pictures and brainstorming. She gave me some options on different types of brown and the possible results and some recommendations on cuts. I left it up to Shayla to just have fun with it and she was a perfectionist, wanted to get every spot and do an extra toner but it ended up coming out wonderfully after a 25 minute cure. Then it was blowdried and trimmed. I requested a smoothing out of my layers and trimming of my side bangs and she kept stopping along the way to make sure I was happy with it before continuing to cut. Price and Products: I left with the Oribe Shampoo and Conditioner for color care and am very excited to try it. The price was fair and this was far beyond my expectations, couldn't have asked for better to be honest. I will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love my hair! I contacted Brandon via Instagram after seeing his portfolio, and my golly, does he know how to do hair! I asked for something simple, not over the top, but also more than what I am normally used to (a hard ask), but he got it! So, I asked for a cinnamon balayage or a fully highlighted head of hair--Brandon explained to me the difference between the two, and I opted out for the balayage due to lower maintenance necessitated. The process was quite simple: he painted my hair, it processed, then toned it, then styled it... voila! Beautiful hair. I loved how he was easy to work with and has absolute pure talent.
