I used to always shop at Basha's and think "I don't mind paying twice as much because the people are always so friendly and helpful," it felt like a neighborhood grocery store. We recently went to the one on Dysart on New Year's Eve. We stood at the meat counter, ringing the bell for 20 straight minutes. I finally went to the front desk and they paged someone. Finally, the guy that worked at the meat counter, walked up, and he was obviously annoyed. Didn't say hello, didn't smile, and actually acted like he was angry/annoyed. He was also dressed in street clothes. It was such an odd experience because I've never had the Basha's employees act like that before. When we checked out, it was no better, there was a young girl checking us out who never made eye contact, said hello or anything to us at all. Why would I pay higher prices to be treated like I didn't exist? In the past, I actually became pretty close with the people who worked there because they were so great. Not the case now, sadly. I have shopped here for 14 years but I feel the quality is no longer, I purchased some seafood from service case and when I opened container you could smell it was bad. I called district manager and told him About seafood he asked who waited on me and I told him, he said that's our meat manager. I said then he should know better! I did get reimbursed but I won't get any seafood from there again. They are too expensive for what you get and it's no longer a pleasant to shop. read more

Isaac, the courtesy customer service agent at your Litchfield Park location was very rude and did not offer assistance when I needed it at the self checkout l. This was around 5:30pm on December 17, 2024. After pressing the "assistance" option at the self check out, Isaac said he would be right with me and walked away. Five minutes later Mr, he walked past and I called to him saying "Excuse me,". He responded rudely as if a I was a bother to him, "yeah!" I informed him that I have been waiting for assistance for five minutes . After a cashier helped me , Isaac walked past laughing and saying he couldn't help me. His behavior and mannerisms are very unacceptable as a customer service liaison. The cashier that help me on the other hand, was very courteous patient and nice, even though she was the only cashier working, and need it back up. She received no support from Isaac who appear to be walking around aimlessly. And to the person who left the nasty note under my review, I know he is not a cashier. Regardless, Isaac and anyone else who is an attendant at a store should assist customers. His very title "courtesy clerk" implies that! He should have been courteous enough to offer the minimal assistance he is able to! You tried it, but it won't fly! Customer Service is EVERYBODY's responsibility in such environment! Apparently Some of the staff members of this store need some serious personality and attitude adjustments. Nick C. They changed their deli hours to close @ 7pm, even on Friday's. So forget about ordering pizza for pick up, unless it's way early. Disappointed. They have great pizza and a great price for it. I just ordered a few weeks ago and pizza was ready just before 9pm... Have called recently... including today and I always get attitude and on hold for long time just to place a pizza order. Today was given an excuse when I asked to place a two cheese pizza order... I don't need excuses, I want to place the order... anyway- she finally said my order would be ready hopefully by 6... I ordered at 3:45.... Apparently whoever runs this store doesn't staff properly and the only lady working the deli is in charge of the whole deli area on a Saturday as well as making pizzas- she explained to me... she said it would take over 3 hours to have my two cheese pizzas ready. Not sure why they're so short staffed but I always have issues in self check out as well... never anyone near by. Pretty frustrating... especially when they could be picking up so much more business since it's not as busy as fry's down the street. More and more recently I've been going to fry's to avoid this store although I had been doing the opposite just to avoid so many people and long lines at fry's... seems to be long wait lines regardless... but worse service at bashas. read more

I came to this Bashas to purchase produce and almost everything had mold or was going bad . I've never seen this before when I usually come everything seems fresh no mold. When I come home to make dinner the feta cheese I purchased has mold in it . I was told I could return it so hopefully there is no issue when I do . read more

Unlike several people I know, I do not have allegiance to any one grocery store. I try to shop for the best prices and/or deals, without going out of my way. And today, lucky for me, the chicken thighs, steak, ground beef, and a ready to eat dish were all either on sale, or mark down 30%. Woo hoo! I saved $15.51. Woo hoo. Of course, I'd saved $38.66 by not buying anything at all. LOL. I usually find what I want when I shop here. However, one thing that has changed since I started shopping here in 2005, the store has lost its small town feeling. And, many of the cashiers, while polite, lack the friendliness of a true hometown store. read more

Usually I love this place and the butcher. But the butcher here for some reason doesn't like to get off his phone or help a customer out with any service. Twice now I've come to see the same guy asking for the same thing for him tell me he can't cut some meat for me. Every time I come to this bashas I leave asking myself "why do I come here?" Why in gods name would you put in MORE self checkouts when you couldn't manage them before. At least when you had 3 you had someone cover it if assistance was needed. Now you have 6 and not a person in site, ever. Today waited for 5 minutes. Would have been more but at the 5 minute mark I just left. Ever since what seemed to be a manager change the store has really suffered, especially the service. The current manager has absolutely zero customer service skills so it makes sense the rest of the store has joined his lead. But at least my question was answered today. I am not a regular customer yet to Bashas yet and I realized I needed to use a loyalty card I did not have. When I got to the register I requested to sign up for one. The cashier told me I had to sign up online using my PC or phone. I did not have my phone with me so I put the sale items and everything else I purchased back and left the store without a purchase. I have signed up for loyalty cards at the register in every store I have ever gone to and as a result of the poor customer service I experienced I likely will never return to Bashas. Every store has similar prices and sale items, maybe a week or two apart, but I will shop these stores instead. read more

Moved to this area a few months ago, this is my closest grocery store. The selection is minimal compared to the big Frys down the way but it's less crowded so I often stop for a quick trip. Tonight was my last stop. There were multiple customers not wearing masks and when I went to get meat to grill there was an employee, a young man (full beard) not wearing his mask while restocking. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are customers not being spoken too when the employees don't wear their own masks. read more

I'm just so glad the bakery came to my rescue for my sons 1st birthday. We threw it together last minute and the theme was " How Time Flies" airplanes! Not my favorite Grocery Store but it works in a pinch Bashas is not my favorite Grocery Food Store but it's the closest to my house. So when I am short on time, this is the grocery store I find myself at. I can usually find everything that I need with no problems. All the associates are very polite, friendly, helpful, and the prices are competitive. The pizza cafe is great. However, I do have a "Love hate" relationship with the pizza cafe. I really enjoy the pizaa at Bashas; however, I hate waiting to pick up a pie. At times the wait can me an hour or more . I guess thats the price you pay for a good pizza. read more

My husband and I had gone there to get one of their cakes in the bakery for a birthday. We have been here a few times in the past for cakes, and they have always been pretty good. We had chosen a small simple cake and had wanted "Happy Birthday" on it. It had plenty of room on it for just that. Nothing fancy. Well the woman there very rudely tells my husband "We can't do that!". So we ask if they could at least just put the person's (Who the cake was for) nickname on there. After giving us a stink face they took the cake the did their "magic" on it. When he got back from them we saw they had just scribbled some ancient looking writing characters on it which I guess was supposed to be "KK" in blue icing. We weren't expecting some Cake Boss looking masterpiece, but at least something that looked decent. read more

This is the closest grocery store to my house and one I avoid whenever possible. I'm one of those "weird" customers that will drive further for better service or shop at a store with a better selection - go figure! Limited selection. The service has gone downhill A LOT! The employees used to be very friendly, but not so much anymore. Good doughnuts, but almost every other visit I see a few flies in the doughnut case, on the doughnuts, flying all around the doughnuts. Yuck! When I tell the random "young gal" working in the bakery, they don't seem to care. Sometimes, random customers seem to accept flies in the doughnut case too. I guess people like donuts with flies on them??? They make jokes like it's funny. (I wonder how funny they think it is when the County Health Dept comes out??? LOL!) This location has a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo Bank. They also have a complimentary child care area to shop without kiddos. Not a fan of this store, just keep driving. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star if it was an option. I live very close to here and have tried it twice, both times being horrible. Their produce selective is either under ripe or gross and over ripe. Customer service is terrible. I like self check out so I can bag things how I put them away but self check out doesn't work the machine is outdated, causing errors, which take 10 minutes to be helped. Last time I walked out mid checkout and will never go back. The store is outdated and depressing overall. read more

The pharmacy didn't have the prescription I needed in stock. I asked if they could see if another store in the area had it in stock, so I could go there to get it. I received a call two hours later letting me know that THEY had made the trip to the other store and had my prescription ready! Talk about customer service!!!! I now only shop at Bashas and love the staff, the produce, the meat, etc. it's a great place to shop! They even provide childcare while you shop right inside the store. read more

For the first time in years I actually have a grocery store close to me that isn't a garbage dump. I love shopping here. The deli counter workers are always upbeat and eager to serve. They even accommodate me with my tendencies to be super picky about baked goods and how I like my cold cuts sliced. The selection is good, you shouldn't have a problem finding what you're looking for unless its some obscure regional item from across the country. The pharmacy really shines. They are very informative, kind, and ensure you leave with all the information you need. I was put on medication they didn't have in stock recently, and my experience with that echo's what others have written. They explained that they could give me # now, and the remainder on this date. When the medication didn't come in on time, they called me so I didn't waste a trip. The self checkouts almost always work, one did go down during the holidays, but that's the only time I've seen it happen. That's significantly better then most other places around here. The security officers watching the liquor section are very friendly and polite, while remaining professional. I always enjoy walking by that section, even if I don't have to, just so I can say hi to them (I know they're bored). If you're local, there isn't much left to be desired from a grocery store. This location has it all. And the donuts. . . have taken years off my life. Fresh. Tasty. Ugh. Now I want one. read more

I would like to support Basha's, as they are an Arizona company, however, they rarely have what I'm looking for. Today, they only had about 50% of the items on my list. They had no organic canola oil. When I asked at the pharmacy if they had anti-nausea bands, the gal said "We used to have them, let me check." After a moment, she returned and said "I'm sorry, we don't have any. I might be able to order some." Um, thanks, but no, I kinda need them NOW. They no longer stock the brand of shaving cream we use, nor did they have any Reach toothbrushes. Also, their produce is frequently of poor quality. Many of the oranges today were unripe. The avocados were tiny and underripe. Such a disappointment. read more

This is a very nice store. It was currently undergoing remodeling, even though it is a relatively new store in the area. Lots of options here - ready-made food, big wine and beer selection. They have a Chinese food place up in the front and also a play place for kids. Excellent. read more

This store has 3 stars for a reason. They don't staff enough checkers and there wasn't an express lane open. I guess they're trying to make customers use the self check out lanes in an effort to not have to pay people to work the registers. Basha is sort of like a Safeway, but not as great. We went here to do an alcohol run and also some chips and dips. The aisle were nicely organized and the workers were really helpful and friendly. Only problem is, they don't exactly have everything that we were looking for, which was really disappointing. They did not carry white cranberry juice and straws for mixed drinks. So we had to drive across the street to Albertson's where we were able to find both! read more

I absolutely cannot stand this store, they never have the items I need, it's poorly organized and if I do the self checkout it always seems like I have to wait and wait and wait for help because the computer screws up. Good quality sushi bar. Everyone in my group had poorly rolled rolls and the selection is slim, but overall good quick sushi. I'd come back.

The deli dept in Litchfield Park AZ is horrible. They know you are standing there waiting, and they just don't give a crap. I ask for a 1/2 lb of deli( of what ever) , and she give me 0.470 a lb pissed me off. Just so lazy, they need to quit, they are not customer service people, you can see that.
