Penang, Tom Kha Soup, and custard sticky rice

Ordered from DoorDash as I was too tired to go out to get something to eat. The Thai iced tea was too sweet unfortunately but the Penang, Tom Kha Soup, and custard sticky rice were all delightful. Next time I am in Cinci I will opt to dine in. No complaints other than the pure sugar Thai tea.

Got takeout from Basil Thai when I was in Blue Ash this week, it was good! I had the pork dumplings and larb gai. The larb was juicy and good, but it was a pretty small portion and didn't include rice or anything. I loved the food, but thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food I got.

Excellent meal. Tom Yum Shrimp was nice, the spring rolls were excellent. Their red chicken curry was superb! Awesome flavors and nice heat levels. Very nice atmosphere and service. Do yourself a favor and have a meal there!!

I usually really enjoy eating here. But something changes. The carrots and onion used to be big and flavorful and fresh. I just ordered it and it looks and taste like everything came frozen. I just wasted $14 on crap food. Used to recommend but after this experience I probably won't ever go back.

First time here. Went to lunch here at the recommendation of a friend. It was pretty good. I had the teriyaki chicken which came with vegetables and white rice. Chicken was mostly dark meat. It was good but on the high side being 11.95. Portion size was decent for lunch. My friend had pineapple fried rice with shrimp. It was good. Had a few shrimp but also was a few dollars over priced. Service was fine. This is a smaller restaurant. They had a good selection of curry dishes and various soups and appertizers on the menu.

I visited Basil Thai for a girls night and had a nice experience! Overall, I didn't have any issues with my visit. Truthfully, I would say none of the dishes I had were memorable. It was a pretty average Thai experience all around. However, the dessert was very delicious! We got the Thai Custard with Sticky Rice at the waitress' recommendation, and we all were very pleasantly surprised.

Dined for lunch today and it was wonderful! Service was excellent and can't wait to go back and try more fresh sushi!

I have to agree with another reviewer that take out/delivery portions are too much for the price. With tip and everything a Basil for 19.00 with chicken should be amazing or larger. The rice container was maybe 2/3 full. It tasted good but not amazing. More vegetables would have been easy way to make it more filling.

As far as Thai places, this has to be one of the worst I've had in the area. The only saving grace from a one star review was their crab rangoon which were actually pretty good. I can't express the disappointment with this place after spending almost $130 via DoorDash to feed my family this past weekend for what I thought would be a good Thai meal. I've eaten Thai all across the USA and every once in a while I encounter a restaurant like this where the curry for whatever reason is more water than curry. I don't know if they purposely do this to try and cut down on expenses but I'm used to my Thai curry having flavor. I can't recall a time when I've been more disappointed with a meal and I felt like I was robbed of my money. On to the dishes: **** Crab Rangoon - actually really good * Chicken Panang - if you like chicken and veggies in a watery soup, this is for you * Chicken Massaman - see Chicken Panang notes * Khao Soi - usually very flavorful noodle curry soup but alas tasted like water * Nam Tok - spicy beef salad, flavor wasn't bad but ruined by extremely fatty chunks of beef I won't be back.

Come in town all the time and stay at Blue Ash hotels. Great choice and much better than Chinese. Good portions for the money.

They grill it up with your choice of noodles and or fried rice and serve it direct to your table. In addition there was a wide selection of sushi rolls, rice wrapped and fried. With a variety of California style rolls, fish, shrimp, squid and others. The Sashimi also had quite a selection tuna, salmon, squid, seaweed salad and more. Overall there was a nice selection and all of the food was fresh and tasty. The servers www very pleasant and kept our drinks full. We would definitely try this again.

Similar concept to a mongolian grill but WAY less organized with a nice addition of a small traditional(ish) buffet included. The bowl you start with is comically small, which I imagine is intentional to deter folks from wasting but also to provide time in between to limit how many times people actually go up to get the Hibachi style food. We would have prefered just getting their buffet style food as it tasted better and we didnt have to wait. Somehow, BOTH of our girls didnt get their Hibachi/mongolian style plates they made up and we had to ask for new bowls so they could make their bowls again. It was very confusing and the customer service was pretty bad in that regard. Everyone seemed to like the food but it was just ok. Not a place I would ever consider returning to or recommending to someone.

I would try it again, but would probably seek out a different place to try first to compare. First, I found the ordering process a bit confusing. Their website advertises BOGO rolls but it's unclear how the second roll is taken off the bill. I was expecting to see a second roll deducted from my bill but didn't, so I called and found out that there is a plus icon under every roll that indicates a second one. I could see this after that, and it made sense. I was coordinating an order for 6 adults so there were several different rolls in our order plus all the free ones. When we picked up the food to split, it was all on one giant platter. This was fun (and I'm glad it saved waste) but we couldn't tell which roll was which and which was the second free one. I wish I would have known to ask for takeout containers to split up the extra also. Another note about the ordering- there is nowhere on the website to enter a pre-set pickup time (only default 25-30 minute option) so you'd have to either order right before pickup or call the restaurant like I did to change the time on your order. I also ordered vegetable fried rice and green gyoza. The fried rice was good but not great. It was hot and fresh, but just not as flavorful so I topped it with more of my gyoza sauce. The green gyoza were not good. The skin was dry and stiff, and the inside was a starchy filling, almost like chickpea or another starchy bean. It was not the soft wrappers with smooth fresh filling I expected, and I was bummed cause I was looking forward to them so much. Our order was on time and the restaurant had easy parking and entry. But besides that, I found all of the aspects of this takeout experience to be just okay.

I'll start with the two biggest positives: they have a buy one get one free sushi roll menu with roughly 12 options. The size of the rolls are pretty good! My husband ordered a crispy crab roll, which is crab and tempura and cream cheese. This is typically his favorite role at other restaurants, but there's didn't quite measure up to others we have had. I got a white tuna and avocado roll. It was totally fine and I would eat it again. I am a huge spicy mayo fan and love it so much. I added it to every single role. So if the spicy mayo is mediocre or not good, it could keep me from coming back again. Sadly, there's totally missed the Mark as it was really sweet instead of savory. I would definitely eat here again for the prices and portion sizes, but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
