Having been to this restaurant many times for delicious dinners, I decided to finally try the pizza. I ordered a 12 inch pizza with two toppings, and it came to $28. A little pricey, but if it's good pizza, it's not a horrible price. But this pizza was not even as good as pizza I would get at Little Caesar's. The crust is paper, thin and a margarita pizza normally has sliced tomatoes on it. There were no sliced tomatoes to be found. It was just tomato sauce with cheese, but the size of the pizza and the thinness of the crust I would not have wanted to pay more than $12-$15 for this pizza. I highly recommend this place for the dinners and their specials. But I would skip the pizza line. read more

Went to the resturant and arrived at 2:50 for the lunch menu. The server came over at 3:00 and we asked for the lunch menu and he said we were too late. We than had to order from the regular menu and we stayed. After the salads came out and we sat there, I asked the server, "do we get bread?, he said that the resturant was there to make money and if we wanted bread, we should have asked for it" He then brought us cold bread and just dropped it on the table. I ordered a beer and he dropped the bottle, I mean with a slam, on the table and walked away. I asked for a glass and he said"we dont have glasses right now, do you want a warm glass or just drink it out of the bottle" The server came over and he was collecting the dirty plates and just slammed the dish while collecting. After the meal, which I HAD BOXED UP BECAUSE I JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THE RESTURANT, he came with the bill and I gave him my credit card, when it said tips etc, I passed, because I always leave cash for the servers, he said, "the bill didn't include the tip. I said, "I leave cash". Now I know why other people warned me about this place. My friend had a gift card that clearly said$75.00 on it with the card that was attached. Fantastic overall experience today for a late lunch / early dinner. Last time I came to eat at this location was when it was originally Sal's. Because of the odd time, we were literally the only customers. We had our kids so they provided wikki stix, which was a pleasant change from your typical crayons. My daughter loved them and definitely kept her busy until the food arrived. My son on the other hand could careless. We were first served a starter bread that looked amazing, it had garlic, onions and I believe tomatoes in it, impressive for free bread. We're a sucker for calamari, and these tasted like they are made fresh, nothing like the thin and somewhat chewy, previously frozen type stuff you find in most restaurants. Their Sunday gravy was tasty but the pepper aioli was the winner for pairing. The pizza was thin with the right amount of crisp. Sauce was great but would've been better with just a little more cheese. Also, love the freshly grated parm instead of the shaker stuff. I'd say the best part of our experience was our waitress Melissa. She was super friendly and attentive. She brought us our food quickly and continued to check up on us, just what you'd expect from excellent service which we haven't received in awhile, and extra points for her interaction with the kids. read more

We usually go to the Cucina Moderna in Boynton Beach, but they are very popular & we couldn't get a reservation. So we went to the Lake Worth location and had a comparably good meal. The restaurant is fairly small and had an open, welcoming feel. Although we were seated right away, our server didn't come to our table for an inordinately long time. Her service throughout our dining experience was not the best. She may have been a bit overloaded. Her co-workers did seem a bit more organized and efficient. We still enjoyed tasty dinners from the Sunset menu, which included salad, soft drinks/hot tea, entrees and gelato. Our dinners also included Cucina Moderna's fabulous focaccia bread and olive oil. It's a great value and draws a crowd. We each ordered the chicken parmesan with a side of spaghetti. The chicken was a little tougher than usual albeit still good. And we like their rich tomato sauce. The restaurant offers a variety of gelato flavors, which are the perfect way to end a nice Italian dinner. Came here to celebrate my Birthday with my family a few day ago. We went in around 4.30pm, it was great not many patrons yet. So we got our door fairly quickly. We eat here quite often since we moved to Boynton about 6-7 years ago. Not much to complain about food. Most entrees tasted great and fairly consistent, portions are generous as well. Only complaint I have is that it seems like the Linguini Clam has gotten more salty over the years. Might have been just us. Deserts always great! Door Dash and the Boynton location completely for forgot to add bread to our order of over $60. Robert took it upon himself to bribe the bread to our house to cover for their mistake! The food wasn't authentic Italian. The coconut custard pie was mostly crust and about 1/4 inch of filling! Awful. The bread was not Italian bread and did not taste good, we threw it out. The eggplant parmigiana was not authentic. It only had mozzarella on the top, not between the layers of eggplant like it should. The arancini was not made correctly. It had sauce on the rice, and it shouldn't have any, and only a dab of mozzarella on the bottom of it instead of alot more mozzarella in the middle, also, there were no peas in it. I'm an Italian who knows good Italian food. The prices were way too expensive. I will not order from them again. read more

I've been to Cucina Moderna before, but at their other location. This was my first time visiting the one in Lake Worth and it was fantastic! Our server was so attentive, the food came out quick and hot, and everything was delicious. They do a sunset special between 4-6, so we got entrees, salads, drinks, and gelatos. Went out for a nice dinner and unfortunately a family (that were regulars) were seated next to us. The 2 children yelled and screamed and walked on the seat in their shoes. Also one child took her shoes and socks off and threw them on the floor. Another couple was there with a son who came over and was dancing on the floor impeding the waitstaff. Tried moving our table away from them, which was good as the boys decided to slide off their seats. We could not wait to get out of there. May never be back. My neighbor absolutely loves this place. So we were hanging out with them and decided to order pizza. I have read some good reviews on the pizza and wanted to give them another shot so we agreed. We ordered a Calzone, a large "Eggplant parmesan pizza" and a large "White pizza" and added chicken cutlet to the last one. My neighbor also wanted Gelato we did not have any of that so I can not say anything about the Gelato. The Calzone was OK. It was well done on the bottom and parts of the top but not too bad. The calzone was the best of the whole order. The white pizza with chicken was absolutely dry and bland and tasteless. The chicken was also very dry. Every time I have had a white pizza there was a sauce on it. Almost like an alfredo sauce, but this pizza had no sauce at all. I would never order this again. Now lets move onto the "Eggplant parmesan pizza" one thinks that eggplant parmesan is fried eggplant, this washy fault as if you read the fine print it says it is grilled. But they grilled eggplant had an aftertaste to it. Almost like a smoke flavoring. I was ready for fried eggplant but they put fresh tomato slices on this which makes it slightly better than the white but very disappointing. 2 large pizza, a calzone and gelato $80.65 before tip!!! When I leave reviews, I aim to keep it at fax and not opinions. We wanted to order in and have just a nice simple dinner after doing a lot of cooking over the weekend. We ordered chicken Frandsche's, shrimp bruschetta, tomatoes and mozzarella stack, two side salads, and fried mozzarella. The only item out of all of it that was worth any sort of taste and flavor was the bruschetta. He told me that the chicken was not salty but it had no flavor to it it was water down. By the looks of it it was just a bunch of liquid not really a sauce. The tomato mozzarella stack should've probably either not been served by calling me and telling me the tomatoes were hard and yellow on the inside definitely not ripe. And then the fried mozzarella was hard and cooked to well-done to really even cut with a fork. Picture of the tomato mozzarella is attached the rest we threw away. Would be nice if we could have part of our money back but we Were so focus on just trying to eat we just gathered food from around the house and just moved on. read more

Delicious Italian restaurant. The loaf of bread with salt and peppered olive oil was a welcome surprise, left at our table before we ordered. I had the Eggplant Parmesan with a side of spaghetti. The eggplant was cooked just the way I like it, a little crispy on the outside and cooked but not soggy on the inside. The pasta was cooked Al dente. I was so happy eating this meal.. I'm hoping we go back before we go back home. Everyone else was super happy N with their meals too. My sister in law ordered Basil Chicken Salad. It was a large and beautiful salad. She enjoyed it very much. My brother ordered the Chicken Piccata that looked amazing. He said it was delicious. My father lives locally and is a regular. He ordered the Linguine with Clam Sauce. We arrived before "Early Seating" pricing ended so our meals were a little less expensive than the regular dinner hours, and came with gelato.
