On a recent trip to OR. I noticed one of our tires was low. After inspecting the tire I couldn't find anything causing the low tire pressure. We checked out of our hotel and were ready to drive to the next destination. However, as soon as I started the SUV, low tire pressure (13 psi) of the left rear tire flashed on display. I asked the hotel manager the location of the nearest tire shop. It turned out, no tire shop operated in the town of Chiloquin in years. The nearest tire shop was in the city of Klamath Falls, 25 miles south. He also highly recommended Basin Tires. I filled the offensive tire with air at the gas station next door and off we went to Basin Tires. The gentleman who helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. Even though the shop was busy, his mechanic worked on the tire within 5 minutes after I walked in. Twenty minutes later, the bad boy nail was removed and the tire patched. Total cost was only $15. Thanks to the crew at Basin Tires, the family was able to continue the vacation without any stress. My whole family highly recommended Badin Tires. My car was in my driveway and one tire was flat. I'm elderly and disabled. A nice neighbor removed the tire and took it to Basin Tire Service for repair. He said he knew the people there and they would fix it right. Neighbor returned with the repaired tire and put it back on the car. Next morning, the tire was flat again. Neighbor took it back to Basin and watched what they were doing. It turned out that they had not cleaned the rim before gluing the tire back on. That say a lot about expertise. read more

My tire had a slash on the inside somehow. I discovered this when I went to go to the dentist today for an abscess. I called to tell them I had a flat, and it was being towed to them (I bought my tires there 4 months ago), new. I spoke with Kevin and explained the situation. He said he'd get me in right away when I got there with the tow truck. He was true to his word!! I had to be at the dentist by 3:30 to get an x-ray and some antibiotics. Well. My best friend told me that basin tire was way better than any other place in town so I brought in my Toyota Tundra rims as well as some vw rims to find new tires for both. The men working here had great attitudes as well as the best service I have seen in years! I came into the shop because I was told that I needed to have a new wheel that I ordered fitted onto my vehicle. I made my intentions clear: I only wanted to have the rim fit and to purchase it- no other services. After two hours of waiting, my car comes out with two new tires (which I had in the trunk because I was going to have them installed elsewhere for a cheaper price). I told the mechanic that I had not given him permission and he came up with a bunch of excuses which I invalidated by responding with the fact that I hadn't given him permission to which he ultimately responded by saying "well it's already done" and walking out. The cashier, which I will not name, because I don't believe he was allowed to do this, did not charge me for the installation, which was very kind of him and was the only positive experience I had at the business. When coming back out to my car to leave, my boyfriend noticed that my car door couldn't open all the way anymore. Being in a frustrated rush, I waved it off and continued to drive home as I didn't notice the new dent because I bought the car with dents on the door to begin with. When I arrived home I look closer I noticed that my door was dented and damaged with white paint on the side of it. I had remarked that while I was in the waiting area I had heard a loud crash while my car was being worked on. I reached out to the mechanic shop and after two days, they finally checked their footage. I was really hoping that it was just a hit and run in the parking lot but they stated they hadn't found anything and then proceeded to try and invalidate my experience by claiming they could see my car was already damaged to begin with, and that I had come in with the damage. After talking to a police officer, they said they couldn't do anything because it wasn't criminal but that I could sue. Mind you- this is just body damage that I wouldn't have even asked for compensation for in the first place if they had been upfront with me to begin with. I decided not to press charges but I read other low reviews and many people seem to have the same experience as me. If you plan on going here, know that their service is cheap because your car may not come out in one piece. read more

I was in on Saturday and got a new set of all weather tires. I brought in my own monitors that were purchased from the jeep dealer. The tire monitors didn't register with the car. I brought it in today and the tech was more than rude. He said they won't register, he than called someone and looked at us and told us. "Nothing we can do". I than took my car to les schwab and they did it no problems. I spend about a 1,000 on new tires. Horrible customer service from that technician, if you can't be nice to customers than get out of customer service. read more

Will never use Basin tire again. They parked my car in an unsafe spot and it was subsequently hit by a semi truck. They refused to take any responsibility (even though their employee was the one directing the truck) or even help out with the cost of tires for a car we won't even be able to keep after the damage it sustained. Don't take your car here if you want it to come back in one piece. If you had been that kind and gracious (as you were in your reply) when my husband was there to discuss this you, I would have happily upgraded my review. However, you were rude and not one of your employees ever apologized for the incident or the subsequent hassle it caused. I made it clear to your secretary that we did not want free tires- we just wanted someone to apologize and at least acknowledge the role of your employee in the whole mess.
