NEVER GO HERE I brought my 1989 Mercedes 300e here to have the alternator and timing belt replaced and the alternator they installed was faulty and overcharged the electrical system thus killing the blower motor for the ac and heat. They charged 400 dollars to "fix" the blower motor which only has one setting which is LOUD and it only blows hot air the ac no longer works. The car also has a very bad misfire below 3k rpm and barely accelerates while under 3k rpm. read more

Made an appointment for a muffler. I showed up to drop my car off (after coordinating a ride ) and I was not on the appointment sheet. Apparently the exhaust guy himself also works in the office and he is the one who told me when to drop my car off. He stated he had to work the office and answer phones too so it would take 5 hours even if I had an appointment. No apologies for not booking my appointment. Apparently if you need exhaust repairs, they do it when they can. Made an appointment with Muffler King who stated it would be an hour repair. Funny they sent me a reply with a link but it goes nowhere. read more

I had gotten my car towed to midas on a Friday they told me it was okay if I left it over night and assured me it would be safe.. i found out that my car had been broken into and completely robbed of everything inside NOT from any one of their employees who reached out but from my credit card company that noticed suspicious activities, for three days !! My car sat there with the window broken. When I finally reached out they brushed me off and told me they had no surveillance of my car. They proceeded to tell me my car was completely totaled, they didn't give me a clear reason and they found this out by just listening to it and the best thing to do was give them the keys and they had no liability for my car??? My Dodge Caravan has been whining/growling every time I turn the steering wheel, & that's been even after we had it "fixed" over a year ago by an independent mechanic - who replaced the power steering pump & said it was ok even though it still whined (but was not as loud as before). But when Midas checked over my car the other day - after doing a routine oil change + Courtesy Check, they were very concerned about the "whine" since it indicated steering problems could occur that would make it hard to turn the wheel, thus possibly stranding us. Since we were getting the car ready for a long summer trip, I gave Midas the "go ahead" to fix it, & they squeezed me in that same afternoon for the 3-hour job! They even worked past their closing time! But they wanted the car to sit overnight to test it in the morning, so I picked it up the next day. WOW - absolutely NO NOISE! Our car broke down at the rim of crater lake. We called these guys on a Friday afternoon with an overheating car. We thought we were going to need a major repair. I asked what time they closed and they said, "we close at 5:00, but we're here until the job is done." They got us in and out with a new radiator cap. Took my truck to Midas for an alignment after replacing the upper ball joints at Lee's Automotive. When the alignment was finished, the truck still wandered all over the road, so I took it to a different mechanic, who took one look at it, let me come into the shop, and showed me the mangled lower ball joints without even a molecule of grease left in them (thanks, Lee's). After replacing those, I took it back to Midas to get it aligned again, and "Mr. Manager" insisted that I pay a second time. Per Midas' own advertisement, they claim to "fully inspect" all components before performing alignments. Obviously they didn't. Both Midas and Lee's were willing to send me out on the road with unsafe ball joints. It took a series of calls to their corporate office and a formal claim before my $90.00 was refunded. Mistakes can be made, but when they are, Midas should own up to them. Poor customer relations will not create repeat customers. read more

I went to these guys a little over 6 months ago with a severe exhaust leak around the manifold of my jeep cherokee. Steve diagnosed it as loose manifold bolts with the exhaust manifold gasket blown out and needed replaced. They quoted me about $410 for the labor and gasket. I could not afford to do it until now, and really still could not but had no choice as I'm moving to AZ and it can't run like that there. I took it into them yesterday and Steve said they would have it done by the end of the day. It ended up not being done by the end of the day. And also he called me about 3:00pm and said that they were done with the work, but the problem wasn't the exhaust gasket at all, that my header is cracked and unrepairable and can't be fixed. They refused to discount or be accountable for their mis-diagnosis and repair. Steve told me they didn't diagnose it, but the lady at the register found the original repair and they charged me for tightening the bolts and documented that I refused to replace the 'exhaust gasket'. Steve then said, "Well, I've sold the shop and am only working here as an employee now for a little while, and it's not my call to do anything." They refused to discount the work and I had to pay $410 for absolutely nothing - in fact the leak is now worse than it was yesterday when I drove in. Do not go to these guys - Steve sold the shop and is taking no accountability for his work or diagnosis. read more
