8pm Just walked in and no one was behind the counter so I waited for about 3 minutes when a Male walked out from the back and said "How can I help you?". I said I would like a waffle cone please and he walked over, grabbed the waffle cone from the top waffle part with NO gloves and tossed it into his other hand. I asked "Did you just grab my waffle cone barehanded?" and he looked at his hand and said "Yea, my hands are clean" then wiped his hand on his clothes. We have been to this location several times because it's in a convenient location in north west but everytime we have come we have been let down by the customer service and the cleanliness. The tables seem to not be wiped down.. I found a hair in my sundae.. the lights above us were very dusty and it was my daughter's birthday so she wanted to try a couple samples before choosing a "clown cone" and the employee seemed so bothered. The minute she took our orders to ringing us up we could feel the energy. We love baskin Robbin's and their ice cream but this location can use some improvement. read more

My experience at basking robbins was NOTHING short of terrible! I walked in at 9:52 to simply order 4 cones. The worker named Madalin, said " we close in 10 minutes " wanting us to leave, i said "that is fine" she was insisting on us needing to turn around. I feel super upset that she was trying to deny us service. we quickly forced our order then once we checked out she told me to f off and to leave, mind you we were out of there by 9:58. All because I didn't leave her a tip because her rude service. Also need to mention as she scooped our ice cream whispered comments to the other employee. i'm just upset with how this was handle. Even with the fact of the chairs not being available. There is no reason to be closing/refuse service before the time is posted. read more

My kids requested we stop for a cool treat after school today, so we rolled into Baskin- Robin's before running errands. A few years since our last visit here when we introduced my little guy to his very first scoop of ice cream here. There was only one girl working when we arrived; the only plus side was she was very friendly and doing her best to get to everyone. My only suggestion is they have a little more help with the weather getting warmer. Wait times I feel are always a bit longer than other locations in town. 31 flavors and everything ice cream in one spot. If you're having a unicorn party, they make a mean Unicorn ice cream cake. That was one of my daughter's birthday cakes for a unicorn themed party one year. Do check out their other designs for custom ice cream cakes. Today, we ordered: Mom's making cookies, cookie monster, and a double wild n Reckless sherbert. My go-to is their Jamoca almond fudge, and they have them pre-packed here to take home. This Baskin Robbins location is definitely my favorite out of all of the ones in town. They always have a variety of ice cream cake flavors in stock, and of all different sizes too. I really like getting people ice cream cakes for their birthdays and the people at this store and always so nice and will even write on the cakes for you (the south Reno one will not). Their ice cream is delish and if I'm not getting a cake for someone, I opt for a single scoop hot fudge sundae with gold ribbon ice cream...SO good when I want to treat myself! read more

I haven't been here in awhile and to my surprise it was remodeled! I love the new look!! It's more lively and welcoming, and it seems that the flow of the store is a lot smoother. The customer service was always great at this location, and the store looks clean at all times. If I find an unclean table then it was due to customers not cleaning after themselves, and at that point I just wipe it clean and sit to enjoy my treat! My fave is jamoca ice cream on a chocolate dipped cake cone. So YUMM!!! read more

Parents: Do not take your children to this establishment. They serve an addicting substance: Ice Cream. I found BR in the early 1970's and view ice cream as a major food group. I have not been in this location for two days and suffer withdrawls. This location is the best in Reno, the best in staff, training, and customer relations. I will no longer visit the other Truckee Meadow locations, but everytime I am in the area, I will stop for a scoop of German Chocolate Cake and Mocha. Two scoops in a cup. read more

My 9-year-old got an award at summer camp so we went here to celebrate with ice cream. She ordered a kids scoop of the daquiri ice. We left and headed to Safeway next door. Once there, she said the ice cream tasted like alcohol and she didn't like it. She was super bummed. We headed back to Baskin Robbins to ask for a different flavor. The kid behind the counter said we would have to pay for a new scoop because it was almost all eaten. But she hadn't taken more than a small bite, which I pointed out. Then he said it was totally melted, which it wasn't. I didn't understand why he was saying these things - was it to make us feel like we were trying to cheat Baskin Robbins? Why did he need to make up lies about the ice cream? If it tasting like alcohol was not justification enough to ask for a replacement, just say that. It made no sense and made my 9-year-old feel even worse. I went ahead and paid for a replacement scoop but told him I thought his service was crappy, since she was a kid who made a mistake and now felt even worse about it. So much for a celebration. If you're a Marine or know a Marine, you know what a big deal this day is. Gayle was so helpful over the phone and made several suggestions that might work. I popped in a couple hours later and even though Gayle had left for the day she had set aside a few cakes for me to consider! Michelle picked up right where Gayle left off and I was so grateful for both of their help. Michelle finished my cake with a custom message and it came out exactly how I envisioned. This review is for Gayle. I've unfortunately never met her, but Gayle is an asset to her team and truly understands what customer service is all about. In fact, my experience working with Gayle was one of the greatest examples of amazing customer service that I've seen in a long time. So now for the details... I wanted a special ice cream cake for a going away party for two very special members of the Yelp community. While looking for the phone number to call Baskin Robbins, I noticed that they had cake ordering available on the website. I was a little late ordering the cake, so I called just to be sure it would be ready and Gayle answered the phone, and let me know it would be fine. So I went through the online process to order the cake. Here's where it went south. Baskin Robbins only has select cake patterns available on the site and very few are not occasion specific I.e. Graduation, birthday etc. And they offer no options to edit the colors either, so I picked a generic cake, wrote my message and placed the order. Immediately I was unhappy with the decision because it simply wasn't what Id wanted, so I called back and got Gayle on the phone again. I explained what I'd really wanted and she was more than happy to help. She offered her personal email so I could send her an image of the logo I wanted, and the next day when the decorator got started, she sent me a pic of the cake in progress to ask what I thought! She even went so far as to ask me if it would be ok to change the color of the icing because it would look better in a different color! Gayle followed my order from start to finish and made sure that it was exactly what I'd wanted. I have a feeling she easily went above and beyond what was expected and may have even stayed late to insure it was understood by the team. When I finally got there to pick up the cake and saw it, I was ecstatic. It was exactly what I'd envisioned and everyone at the party loved it. We all felt like the cake was a little extra special, and I think that's because of the extra attention Gayle put into making sure it was just right. read more

Now it is $2 per scoop on Tuesday's, this is only a $.59 discount of any other night. There does not seem to be much of an order when there is more than one customer waiting to he helped. I like how many options Baskin-Robbins provides. Since this is now the only option we have in Northwest Reno it is one of our regular stops to satisfy my sweet tooth. My go to is the double scoop sundae with Jamoca almond fudge. The staff working there is friendly and fast. No matter what taste in ice cream you want they have it. They also have cakes, milk shakes, banana splits and they make their waffle cones!! read more

I went in and got a quart of ice cream and it was half empty! IT'S LITERALLY HALF EMPTY! I gave them a call immediately, and all they said is, "we weight every single quart." I was so pleasely surprised and honestly felt silly for thinking Cold Stone could beat the original thirty one in the first place, The place was immaculate and the staff were so friendly! The space was bright and cheerful with a refreshing modern feel. They had a great selection of ice creams, And I was surprised to see that they had healthier options like frozen yogurt as well as non-dairy options. But then again, I only come here once a year and I splurge with getting two scoops in a waffle cone. Customer service is great, there's always an acknowledgment coming in and going out. Overall, there are good kids working here. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because while in the throes of my yearly sugar high, I happened to look over through the glass case from where I was sitting and watched one of the gals take out the tips from the container and pocketed the money.
