Papas lokas, prepared like the Takis Locos. My favorite!

La Estación Ice Cream is my go-to spot! My family and I come here every week and we're still not tired of it because they have sooo many options. The ice cream is made right there in the shop, and you can really taste the difference. Some flavors are super natural and not too sweet, and others are perfect if you've got a big sweet tooth, so everyone finds something they love. They're always happy to let you try samples, which makes it fun to pick a new flavor each time. On top of that, the shop itself has such a fun atmosphere. Inside there's a comfy lounge area with table games, and on warm days you can hang out on the benches out front while enjoying the lively music they always have playing. Between the snacks, popsicles, ice cream, and great vibe, this place never disappoints. Definitely my favorite ice cream shop in town!

Cozy area to play games at La Estacion.

I think I found my favorite place for ice cream! I was excited to try a paleta, but couldn't resist trying the Honey Lavender and Chongo Zamorano Ice Cream. SO INCREDIBLY GOOD!!! The place itself is located in kind of a run down strip mall, but you wouldn't know it from the fresh and creative decor inside. They have quite a menu of Mexican snacks, Paletas and Ice Cream. I was really impressed with the selection of flavors, all house made. The service was also excellent and was able to ask questions and even had a few samples of ice cream, without feeling rushed. What a hidden gem!! I can't wait to share this place with my family. I'm also always happy to support family-owned businesses.

Delicious dessert, great customer service and clean and nice place. A definite snack place to go to.

Really great tasting ice cream, and clean family environment. Service was quick and kind, and answered all of our questions.

Cute sweet/snack shop. Friendly service and very clean. We will be back for sure! The bubble waffle and esquites were our favorite.

This place is DELICIOUS! Everything is very fresh and priced well. The fresh drinks were refreshing and not sweet. They were just right. My favorite one was the tropical drink. The location is creative, clean, and innovative. The staff is wonderful and you feel at home. Highly recommend. Definitely will be back soon. #SupportLocal

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream! This place is tucked away in the corner of a little shopping center. It's a hidden little gem really. The ice cream is so delicious! Real nuts and fruit in the ice creams and popsicles. The ice cream is so smooth and creamy! They have an insane amount of flavors! Way more then it seems to display on their yelp menu, you really have to go there and see for yourself. You will not regret it! My new favorite ice cream spot:) I want to try every flavor. Don't skip on the cone!! It's perfection!

Sweet new spot! We've been needing a Mexican ice cream shop in this area and they're amazing! Family owned business, super polite and friendly. Had to try to keep my popsicles from melting until I got to my destination and I was given some ice blocks in a bag for my popsicles. Very much appreciated. Recommend the 'fresas con crema' (strawberries and cream), and their popsicles are really tasty! They also have fruit! They also have a corner for hanging out with some games! Hope this place is a hit! Wish y'all tons of success.

This is a nice little Gem by Reno High. They have Mexican snacks that will cover both your sweet and salty cravings. They have a wide selection of Paletas (popsicles) that are a water and milk based. You can even have it dipped in chocolate and add some toppings such as almonds, peanuts and coconut flakes ( my personal favorite) it's called Ezquimal. The staff is very friendly and there was mention of adding other winter food items for when the weather gets chilly.

    Happy keiki!

We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.

YELP REVIEW PROMPT…read more Checked on Yelp for a dessert spot that I haven't tried before. Sierra Nevada Creamery and Bakery was a quick four minute walk from our lunch spot so we thought why not! It's located right next to the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts and has a very small parking area. There are restaurants on either side so there is also street parking. It was a warm day so I decided on a double scoop in a cup, one pistachio and one sea salt caramel. The double scoop was huge, definitely no skimping and only $10. There was one person ahead of us and then tons of people piled in after we did so we got there at a really good time! There was only employee working (I think he may have been the owner). I felt so bad because it was just him and he had a line almost out the door but if he was stressed he did not show it. He was friendly and so professional. The inside is pretty small but there some places to sit and if the inside is full the grass area right outside isn't a bad place to enjoy your treats. I would recommend for sure and I definitely want to go back and try a chocolate chip cookie. Things to note: Read his story on the ice cream menu. I enjoyed it and that is what makes me want to return to try the chocolate chip cookie.

I was surprised to see this place as I've driven by this strip of businesses many times and never noticed this particular spot. They offer homemade treats, but mostly ice cream. They have an almost unmatched selection of non-dairy ice creams and sorbets. A nice surprise. The gentleman helping us was very nice and gave us a full rundown of how they make everything in house. He offered samples and suggestions. I sampled the flavor of the week, Lavender Honey Matcha, and the coconut cream coffee. My kids decided on the mango sorbet and the classic strawberry. Everything was delicious. The coconut cream ice cream had great flavor and texture given that it was non dairy. My wife and I decided on the matcha flavor of the week. It was very refreshing. The strawberry had real chunks of strawberry which is always a treat. My biggest critique is the texture of the ice cream. This stuff seemed very crumbly. I prefer a much more "chewy" or "sticky" ice cream if that makes sense. This stuff was more "dry" and less "creamy". There are some other local shops in the area that make great ice cream exactly how I like it, which is the only reason for 4 stars. I'm not sure this would be my top place for ice cream again. The smallest "one scoop" size is actually nearly two full scoops. Could be a good thing for some, but a kids scoop is always appreciated for my toddlers, especially a a slightly discounted price. That is not an option here. There are a few small tables inside to enjoy your treats and lots of to-go options which is always nice. The place was clean and well decorated. It was steadily busy while we visited, indicating that this place is likely here to stay. Overall, worth stopping in if you're in the area. The flavors are unique and tasty and the non-dairy selection is fantastic.

They also sell soaps and bath products shaped like realistic desserts, which I love and thought were such a cute touch. My daughter chose the pink strawberry ice cream with the pink strawberry cone. The flavor was great. It tasted fresh with real pieces of strawberry throughout and nothing artificial-tasting. I also liked that the cone itself had strawberry flavor woven into it rather than just being dyed pink or coated in toppings. I originally planned to get a second flavor to try, but the single scoop cone was over $10 so we decided to just share. We also came after seeing an Instagram post about their seasonal Lucky Charms cone and thought it included the ice cream shown in the photo, but it turned out to just be the cone. The advertising appeared to be made with AI and, for that reason, was a bit misleading when it came to representation of the ice cream available. Parking was probably the biggest challenge. The lot is very small and with the one-way directions in the lot, and around the block, it took a bit to find a spot. Inside there are only a few seats. There were four stools at a counter, and with another family there we ended up sharing a single bar stool. The bright interior makes it a place you want to hang out, but the limited seating makes that tricky. Still, the ice cream itself was very good and it was a fun outing with my daughter.

Delicious ice cream sandwiches with fresh baked cookies and scoops of ice cream as well as waffle cones and kid sized cones with ice cream. The more impressive part of Lazy Sundae is their execution. Despite crowds, they expertly churned out ice cream sandwiches and ice cream scoops of multiple flavors (Blueberry, Strawberry, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Birthday Cake) and numerous cookies (Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip). Our order: Snickerdoodle Cookie Sandwich with Vanilla Bean - super fresh cookie with a huge scoop of delicious vanilla bean ice cream. I'm not sure if they outsource or make their own ice cream but it's high quality. Super soft and fresh snickerdoodle Cookie. Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich with Strawberry Ice Cream - huge chunks of strawberry and a very fresh peanut butter cookie. It's delicious! Mint Chocolate Chip with Waffle Cone - Surprisingly the ice cream looks almost like vanilla and has no trace of the radioactive green color you see in most store bought mint ice cream, but the mint flavor is strong and unmistakable as well as a perfect match for the delicious chocolate chips. Overall, I was super impressed with this ice cream truck. Quality was phenomenal and every flavor was superb. Highly recommended!
