If you like over priced bland ice cream and a staff that'll ignore you then this is the place for you.

Can't wait to visit more often in the summer!…read more Took advantage of a warm March day to walk over to this family-owned and operated ice cream parlor tucked in a small Hillsborough shopping center and was glad I made the trip to mark it off my list. This little shop offers a unique fusion of flavors that will certainly satisfy any sweet tooth and offer both delicious ice creams and fun cones and containers for whatever your craving desires at a fairly reasonable price, staying under $10 for a small cup and waffle cone, each with about 2-3 scoops! I tried the Midnight Caramel River flavor, one I would highly recommend as I've never come across anything like it before and it's a delightful blend of golden vanilla and dark chocolate, filled with swirls of gooey caramel that didn't overpower the creamy texture of the ice cream. The combination of flavors was unlike anything I had ever tried before and I was blown away by how good it tasted. On top of that, it was in a crunchy, purple, "decked out" waffle cone that complimented the frozen flavors perfectly. The atmosphere inside is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff, greeting you as you walk in and some bench seating outside as well as around the sides of the shopping center with picnic tables if you wanted to stay for a bit. We saw a few young families and pets out when we stopped by. You can also cross the street and take a walk through the park as we did to enjoy the warm weather and have no regrets from snacking down all the delicious ice cream lol. It's clear that The Ice House takes pride in its ice cream and puts a lot of thought and care into its flavor and I for one can't wait to return!

This little place has fantastic service and delicious homemade ice cream! It is very expensive though. $7 plus tax for a small dish of ice cream. Seems like prices are going up everywhere. Nevertheless, the ice cream was delicious. Sometimes it's worth paying for homemade ice cream! Today I got cookies and cream, hubs got coconut carmel and mom got butterscotch toffee. Yum!

It was really fascinating how many flavor options they had available. The shop calls itself homemade so I assume it is, but it's impressive to offer so much. I ordered a Thai iced tea in a small size. It may have been their small but it was a large scoop in the cup. It was a welcomed surprise to end my night out, the ice cream end up being very good and tasted exactly how the namesaked drink tasted like. There was a bit of a wait to it even though there was maybe 3 people in front of me in line. I think it was a good 15 to 20 minutes of waiting before I was able to order. Almost seemed like they did one order at a time. I may have ordered ice cream in a cup but they were still doing milk shakes and other things for other people. I assume that's what took so long. They have wooden benches outside in the parking lot which is nice on a summer night to sit and enjoy a treat. Probably will come again when I stumble near it.
