Have not been to this location yet but was in the area. There was no one inside and we were helped right away. The store looked small from the outside but since we went while it was getting dark, I was not thrilled with the lighting as it was in a parking lot that had construction going on and not in a typical shopping center. The concrete stair case was not very visible at night so I suggest going during the day or take a flashlight. The staff was friendly and we noticed that some cakes were being made so we watched. We ordered our standby treats which is a hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream with the whipped cream, nuts and cherry. The portion did not seem as big as usual. Today I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this location. An employee demanded that I show "documents" for my service animal, which is not allowed under the law. Customers are not required to carry or present any paperwork. This interaction was uncomfortable and inappropriate. I hope management provides proper training to staff regarding service animal regulations. I used to really like this location, but it's changed in the last 6 months. I went during my lunch to grab a cold drink and the girl helping me was new and super sweet. When I asked for my drink, she stood there for a few minutes because I don't think she knew how to make it. The other employee was decorating a cake and I assume she's worked there for longer than this trainee had. The other employee directed her to this book that they use and walked away. She still had a little bit of trouble, and she kept looking over at the other girl. I felt really bad for her. If they are going to train employees, maybe help them. We used to be able to order over the phone and try to save time because we had so many errands to run. The 24 hr time period had passed to pre-order so we had to go in, which was fine. The cake was amazing, it fed 16-24 for our party. (Still have leftovers) The ice cream was mint chocolate chip (my favorite) with vanilla cake and confetti, the icing was blue with drawn on balloons and confetti. So cute. Located on the corner of Desert Inn and Jones, Baskin Robins is easy to spot. It's a decent size ice cream parlor where you can seat and eat or quick scoop to go. I came here to order a few packaged ice cream to go. Unfortunately they only had 2 of the 4 flavors pre-packaged. The other two are fresh packaged, meaning they have to scoop it in front of you. Which probably took 5-10 minutes to do since there was 2 flavors that needed fresh packaged. I came in early when it was opening and ordered. It was nice and quiet and the server was fairly new and by herself, so it's understandable that she's still learning, but handled everything with ease. Overall, decent place, the server was really nice and calm and very helpful. I'm pretty sure scooping up ice cream is an in and out ordeal. Tonight I ordered 3 Reese's Peanut Butter cup Sundae's for pick up. I had my son pick them up. He arrives and says that hes here to pick up. 1 young employee says to the other.... The cashier input a more expensive drink than we ordered, we caught it and had to ask them to correct it. After we paid, we find out we were charged for an extra single scoop at $4.19. We ordered 2, but charged for 3. At both mistakes the employee did not even apologize. The correct thing to do is say sorry and offer to fix it. I know it didn't touch their hands, but it would've been a nice touch nonetheless. I tried the two scoop sundae with blueberry muffin and chocolate peanut butter ice creams with marshmallow topping. There are three locations that we go to regularly, but I like this one the best out of the three (also the biggest). It's probably the most family-oriented one, seeing the customer base as being more families. This one has seating inside and outside (but, don't recommend on windy days). The ice cream flavors are consistent and yummy (rocky road, butter pecan, cookies and cream, etc.), with the flavor of the month rotating, always something new (TIPS: if you are on the email list, you will receive special coupons that expire quickly; also, on the receipts, if you do the survey, you can save $1.00 of your next purchase of $4.00 or more, and sometimes, there are other special coupons on the receipts too, but you must use the same receipt at the same location***). Hubby's favorite is a seasonal one, so it's not available all the time, german chocolate, and when it is available, it's not more than a month. Without the coupons, the scoop prices are reasonable. So this place is one of our regular spots. Already made cakes are to the opposite end (back wall) of the entrance door. Already packed pints are near the back wall area and there is also a flip-menu showing all the options for birthday custom-made ice cream birthday cakes. We always get nice acknowledgement here when we enter the store (I'm not saying that the other ones are rude). This is the only one I usually see someone cleaning up the tables after a party leaves. TIP: Also, on the 31st of the month during the year, you can get $1.31 scoops; workers ask if you want single, double, triple or quadruple scoops. Yes, people actually get 4 scoops. Here, they enact policies that help protect the customer such as: 4 people inside at a time, a 6 foot line for customers, as well as a plastic sheet covering the register. All good signs to help keep us safe during the pandemic, and also very nice to see. But the real issue comes when you get into their store and see what they have to offer. Ice cream flavors missing, their signature flavors not out for anyone to order, and no samples for customers because of the pandemic; man oh man was everything lacking. Not even a smile either. A smile! A "hello how are you?" was even missing from our whole experience. Ice cream was good though. At least it was worth it in that sense. It can be freezing outside and I will still want some ice cream. There are so many flavors to choose from and you can get a sundae or a shake. And they are always adding new flavors so when you go in, you might find a new favorite like the raspberry white chocolate chip.
