We all love it because Eric treats us like family, welcomes us in, and lets us know if there are any new flavors he thinks we'll enjoy. We found out about National Spoon Day, and the kids were so excited and begged to come here. They rung us up and refused to give us a spoon for our qualifying purchase (over $12). The cashier told us the manager said you have to buy $12 worth of ice cream all in one cup to qualify. I could have been a jerk and dumped all 3 of our yogurts into one large cup, and paid for it that way, but chose to try to be reasonable and just showed him the terms on the website, which clearly states that a $12 purchase qualifies for the large spoon. The cashier still refused to budge. What a dumb hill to die on. They probably lost lots of customers going forward- we saw him doing this to every single family who came in specifically for this promo. When the yogurtland on lake Mead was closed for maintenance, I decided to go to the yogurtland on Charleston at Boca Park and boy was I glad I did! It's cleaner, has lots of selections in the takeout Frozen refrigerator (only $6 /pint for a quick pic and go) but most of all you will probably be greeted by Eric the store manager who has customer skills that are very rare these days. I went for free spoon day and per advertised it is free spoon per $12 transaction. They refused me a soon because they said each individual tub needed to be $12, not my total purchase. I had a frustrating experience during my first visit to this location yesterday. I normally love Yogurtland, but I had never been to this location and thought I'd give it a try. Usually I load money onto the app before I go -- since I use their rewards program, it just simplifies the transaction a bit because I just have to scan the barcode in my app and it simultaneously pays and earns my rewards points. I did that last night like I normally do, only to be told by the two girls working that they were new and didn't know how to allow me to pay with the app, and that they would have to call someone. (Mind you, there are signs posted EVERYWHERE inside this location with QR codes to scan so that you can download the Yogurtland app.) After they called two different people, the girls working told me that this location does NOT accept the Yogurtland app! Really -- a Yogurtland location does not accept the Yogurtland app, an app which they so heavily advertise all throughout the store?! So not only did I waste money that I had loaded onto the app, but after all the time wasted waiting for them to call people to try to figure it out, by the time I got home my froyo was totally melted.
