Baskin Robbins in Manhattan beach is clean and the staff are very nice and swift. Today is my birthday. We all walked down to BR as a family to celebrate. When I got there my daughter ordered what she wanted, and then it was my turn. I was so excited because you supposedly get a free scoop on your birthday. However, without a happy birthday wish from the young girl working there she just flatly denied us because we didn't print out the coupon from the Internet. Come on! It is just a single scoop.... just one scoop. It's just the idea of celebrating a birthday and having fun and it is such a let down to be denied just because we didn't have the coupon printed out seems pretty bad customer service. After this we didn't feel like buying anything else except for my daughter's ice cream. We live down the street but won't go back again... There is Pinkberry down the street. They at least smile and know how to work with a paying customer. My advice: be more flexible, improve customer service... a birthday comes once a year share a little if a customer forgets to print out the coupon... you lost business on my husband's ice cream today and from our family in the future. read more

A-1 You can never go wrong with Baskins. It's been about a year since I've been to one. I have been frequenting the soft serve spots but I always come back to the OG spot. Actually they serve about four soft serve items but I think they should just stick to what their used to. Today I had the Old Fashioned Butter Pecan. You can never go wrong with that. read more

I've been coming here since the 1970s when it used to be called 31 flavors. The layout is exactly the same. The ice cream is generally very good and the service is good. Parking is OK. I would park in the post office parking lot. I would give this place five stars if it wasn't so disorganized sometimes. When it's really crowded it's hard to tell when you're next in line and the people working there have no idea about who's next to take their order. I was in search of the infamous pink bubble gum and upon arrival I didn't see it. Staff member Dakota asked if she could answer any questions I had and she did just that. She informed me they kept it in the back and she will go grab it. Aside from getting the ice cream I wanted, Dakota really made the experience at this location a good one. It's not everyday you meet someone who truly loves their job and You can tell Dakota really cares about making the customer feel welcome, get them what they need, and out the door with a smile. This place is sooo sticky and messy. I get that Ice cream is getting dripped on the floor all day but its so dirty it looks like its never been cleaned. They only have a few seats so it probably best you take your ice cream to go! They have all the flavors you would expect but there is nothing special about the ice cream. I bought a small ice cream cake for my in-laws and my wife told me I needed to ask for extra fudge on the top of this 4 x 4 inch cake. A fellow who looked like the mngr or owner said he could not pour some extra fudge on my cake because he can only touch the cake if it is to write something on it for an extra fee. I was too dumbfounded to say anything. I would have gladly paid $2 for a small scoop of fudge poured on top but apparently this was not an option. Kind of makes me think of the "Soup Nazi" episode on Seinfeld where the owner only sells soup his way. The cake ended up having a mild refrigerator taste. the ice cream was very good. I think they need to plastic wrap the cakes better. 1 star for customer service and 3 for quality of food. read more

I placed my order online the day before I needed the cake (surprise 21st birthday party for my daughter). I called a few hours before my scheduled pick up time, and there was no record of my order in the system (though my card had been charged). I drove to the store, and they couldn't have been more accommodating! Not only did they give me a bigger cake (the only one that matched the cake/ice cream combo I ordered), but they gave me a box of mini ice cream cones as well.
