I recently had the pleasure of trying out Creamy Boys recently, it's always been on my radar, especially as someone who loves ice cream. But then again, who doesn't love ice cream? Anyway it's been like 85°F and 80% humidity for the past month and I thought ice cream would've made a good meal before a light dinner. Even my dog at home got a great treat here we took to go. The location itself was very clean, very inviting, and cool because they had A/C. Anyways, the flavors they have all looked good to be honest but the employee recommended the Hokey Pokey, a vanilla ice cream with honeycomb toffee mixed in. That was some of the best ice cream topping I've ever had. It reminded me of butterfinger texture just with a slightly different taste. The service was friendly and I always appreciate when they recommend something I would've have never tried. The ice cream, the service, the location, and unique flavor made this a 5/5 for sure. Will definitely be trying it again and will try the mixed berry as that was my first option, but I am glad I tried the Hokey Pokey. Great recommendation. Give Creamy Boys a try, they have options around $6-$8, different seasonal flavors, and $11 dollar pints you can take to go, which I did for my father. Also my pup had a treat as well which was super awesome. I enjoyed this place and will return for sure.
One of the best soft serve ice creams I've ever had. The hokey pokey and banana is AMAZING. It's "not too sweet" which I love. The shop is super cute, I love the vibes. Service is great here as well! 10/10 place, highly recommend stopping by for a sweet treat.
I didn't know they had a second location until I was searching for a dessert place while eating dinner at Rock n Brews. I was happy to find this spot because it was close by! Lots of cute stores around here too and very walkable. It looks like their selections are the same in both locations. Their hokey pokey is a solid choice and my favorite thing to get here. The ice cream is creamy and smooth, and it is perfectly complemented with their crunchy sweet topping. Service was quick and professional. You can definitely chill here and socialize if you wanted. There's plenty of space for kids to hang out as well. You can buy pints of their ice cream including merch here. Definitely coming back.

Their NZ style froyo was more custard like, so a thick consistency as opposed to what you find out of a McDonald's or soft serve. Never knew about the nsfw name search. Learn something new everyday. You need to get the honey toffee crumble on everything. Delightful crunch texture and mild honey flavor. Even mnp liked it and she doesn't like honey. My first time trying this place after always seeing the long line hanging out the door. First, let me say my "Hokey Pokey" cup was excellent. It's not the product that has me making this poor review; It's the fact that they had ONE poor girl making this very labor-intensive ice cream! She has to push down a lever to swirl the ice cream with the fruit for each order AND THEN go take the next order!!! I mean I felt so bad for her that I almost wanted to get out of line and help her. I apologized to her saying "I'm sorry you don't have any help in here" she said it's ok - it's just that more people keep coming" with a look of exhaustion!! Please give this girl a big raise and everyone in line should be tipping her idc!!! Hire help Creamy boys, El Segundo!! You guys can afford it!!!
I'm assuming that our coffee ice cream was atypical or there would not be so many good reviews. It was like eating a snow cone (crushed ice) mixed with some melting coffee ice cream. It was not creamy at all, just crunchy little chunks of ice. We were disappointed as it was nothing like our favorite New Zealand ice cream. The store is clean and adorable. Our server was friendly and polite. Sadly, it was not a good experience.
After finding out Creamy Boys serves New Zealand style ice cream, my curiosity couldn't resist. Went on a weekend around opening so wasn't busy, though there was a mom and daughter already eating some. Must be good if it's kid approved, right? You bet. I went with a regular size hokey pokey cup, and it was $8.25. Sounds expensive but once you get handed the ice cream you'll be thinking the opposite. It's huge! I was planning to grab it and take it with me but it was way too big to transport without it melting all over my hand, so I sat in store and whittled it down a little. I reached my limit before I could get it down as much as I was hoping, but the staff were able to give me a empty pint to carry it in. I ate maybe 40% but the remainder filled about half a pint, so you can imagine just how big it was. The flavor is so tasty, just want you want from vanilla ice cream. The honeycomb bits add a pop of sweetness but mainly add textural contrast. Ice cream is super smooth and creamy. It held up in the air conditioned store but if you are planning to walk around with it in the summer sun I don't think you'd make it far without needing napkins. If you're coming with others, a regular is definitely enough for 2-3 to share. Decor here is super cute. Lots of pink and along the wall cool things to check out like merch and a claw machine. Staff were really nice and super quick with my order. Honestly was expecting the hype to not match the quality of the ice cream, but I was totally wrong. Had to write this review to let others know about this hidden gem. And fortunately there's parking across the street and other little shops to check out, so really no excuse to come down to El Segundo. Totally recommend.
New Zealand style soft serve located in the downtown El Segundo area. It has friendly service and a laid-back beach city vibe. I didn't know that there was a New Zealand style soft serve until recently, and to be honest I'm not sure if I fully still know, but it may have something to do with the way fresh fruit is folded into the ice cream I believe. I have been wanting to come here for a while. I happened to be in the area and went for it! The Hokey Pokey is the classic flavor for NZ, but I really wanted the banana. It was delicious and the ingredients were fresh and well folded in. This place is great and the ice cream here is such a treat. I'm a big fan.
Getting their ice cream truck at our office backyard and it's warm sunny day so perfect timing! Plenty of flavors to choose from, which was basically different mix-ins blended with the vanilla soft serve base. They did offer chocolate one. I went for the Hokey Pokey as I loved honeycomb and simply couldn't resist that crunchy toppings! The order's ready in a blink and there were several attendants serving at the same time so despite all of us tried to be there at similar time, we got our ice cream quickly! I love how it looked simple and not too much ingredients mixed yet it's simply palatable!

Genuinely the finest creamery selection, my bud and I got the classic vanilla and for someone who loves sweets but gets overwhelmed with sugar easily, it was PERFECT. It needed absolutely nothing added as it already had light sugar crystals in the vanilla serve. Perfect for a quick ice cream grab without the guilty conscience...truly...coming from a gal with a secret sweet tooth for that exact reason. read more

Went here several days ago. The service was fast, and sweet to interact. Were very helpful as myself and my partners first time. The seating around the location is minimal - but easy for those that show up with 1-2 people, otherwise most people seem to order to go. The ice cream is worth going back for and is very tasteful - have a regular and mini size, and can also order pints to go. read more

Love creamy boys. And usually all their flavors. But we had two orders of the seasonal flavor, coffee, and boy was it a major disappointment. There were chunks of ice all throughout and they said it was frozen ice with espresso. It tasted more like just ice balls. The chunks really are not representative of "creamy" and ruined the experience for us. The one star is simply for the disappointing flavor. We both had to dump it. If I was trying creamy boys for the first time, I honestly would not go back. It's the umpteenth time we have been and our first thumbs down. Thankfully, that flavor is going away soon. read more

Creamy Boys definitely caught my attention as I was driving through El Segundo -- the bold font and that very... adult-ish name (lol) made me curious enough to pull over. I'm glad I did, because the place is genuinely good. Their New Zealand-style soft serve is silky, creamy, and different in the best way. They've got two locations in El Segundo and one in Hermosa Beach, and the shop itself has a simple, clean, comfortable vibe. Matthew was running the front on his own when we visited, and he delivered amazing service. Friendly, welcoming, and he took the time to explain the theme behind Creamy Boys and how the ice cream is made. He gave great recommendations too -- I don't like overly sweet ice cream, so I went with the Mixed Berry, and it hit perfectly. My sister, who has a real sweet tooth, got the honeycomb ice cream with caramel drizzle and toffee and was smiling from ear to ear. What meant the most, though, was a moment I didn't even see happen. My niece has a fractured fibula from taekwondo and is currently on crutches. After I went to get the car for her, she came out beaming, telling me that Matthew had approached her to ask how she was doing and what happened to her leg. That small moment of compassion stayed with her -- and with me. We need more places where hospitality feels human, genuine, and heartfelt like that. Prices are fair (a regular was $8 and packed), the ice cream is delicious, and the service is the kind that wins loyalty. I even grabbed one of their shirts with the skeleton graphic -- can't wait to wear it on my hikes. Thank you, Matthew, for the kindness and the smile. You've definitely earned some loyal fans here. Wooowww I LOVE the Hokey Pokey ice cream !! The creaminess was perfect and the toffee infusion into the vanilla + on top was just an amazing combination. One of the best ice creams I've had, and I'll definitely come back again :) The service was lovely, and they really packed in the ice cream. All of my friends also really liked eating it! I do have a sweet tooth, so for someone who does not, they have other flavors that might be more to your liking. I wish they do two flavors in one cup, but I understand why they couldn't do that. I'll be back and hopefully I'll try more flavors, but I think I'll still end up craving the Hokey Pokey flavor :) The interior was cute and it was very nice to eat ice cream in store. What can I say? I'm in a New Zealand state of mind! Murphy the Doodle and I stopped in El Segundo today for some pizza and to try Creamy Boys. I'm so glad that we did! I love this creamy New Zealand ice cream with fruit mix ins and the honeycomb topping. I had the Fresh Banana and, of course, the honeycomb topping and both of us agreed that this was outstanding ice cream. The banana vibe was real! The store is small, clean. and happy and as I sat there, more and more people came in. I will definitely be back to try more of the delicious flavors. read more

Honestly, this place is really good. I've been here a few times now, including the Hermosa Beach location, and the quality has always been solid. My only complaint is that the serving sizes seem pretty inconsistent. From reviews and videos I've seen, some people get huge portions, while the times I've gone, the servings have felt mediocre. Maybe I'm being a little greedy, but it's something worth noting--especially when the largest size is around $8 before you get into the pint options. Overall, I'd still come back, but I wish the portion sizes were a little more consistent. read more
My husband and I came here for dessert on a Sunday night in April. Street parking is plentiful and easy to find nearby. The store is spacious and has some seats and tables inside. There were a few people ahead of us when we came in, but they ordered quickly so we didn't have to wait long. Creamy Boys is a New Zealand ice cream place. Their style of ice cream is known for blending ice cream with real fruit. We'd previously been to their Hermosa Beach location and quite liked it, so we were both happy that they opened up a location closer to home. We got the hokey pokey flavor and shared this between us. The single serving was huge and it can easily be enough for two people. Service was friendly and efficient. Will be back and would recommend. read more

It was my first time trying this place and it did not disappoint! I got the Hokey Pokey and it was so yummy. Just like the name of the store, the ice cream was super creamy and the toffee honeycomb sprinkled on top was so good! When I went, they were sold out of everything except vanilla and Hokey Pokey but I definitely want to go back and try all their other flavors! Plenty of street parking and there's also a parking structure right across the street too if it gets busy! read more

The ice cream is delicious, not too rich and not too sweet. The mixed berries flavor had some ice pieces and fruit mixed into it. The seasonal peach flavor does not taste too much like peach and mostly vanilla. The honey comb flavor is very sweet and decadent. The ice cream will not taste the same every time. The staff are younger teens and are friendly :) Inside is a pretty small area and it can get loud inside there so i would eat around town read more
